ya' think ?
she acts like i m asking her to paint the Cathedral ceiling of the Pope's house or something ? sheesh.
i m not catholic so i have no idea where the Pope lives ??? but you know the painting on the ceiling that Michael Angelo did ? LOL :) is that the same one ? i was just being flip, so please don't be offeneded. if anyone is .
§ Sweet Interruptions § 221
The Pope doesn't live in the Cathedral, I don't believe.
It was the Sistine Chapel where Michaelangelo painted the ceiling.
I'm not Catholic either, but I don't mind you being flip LOL
You are upset, you have a right to vent. that is why we are here, one helping the other. Hang in there, Girl.
I googled to find out if Michelangelo was his last name, and it was his FIRST. His full name is:
Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni
good grief!
Sue, just take her outside, and turn on the hose!
LOL I Agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Squirt some shampoo on her first, that way she has to wash it off. That sounds like my dad's girlfriend's son, he's so lazy he doesn't brush his teeth.
Oh, I have to brush my teeth, first thing in the morning. I hate morning mouth!
I vote for the hose!!
As long as Austin and Savannah don't think they should do the same as their sister, you've avoided some serious potential argument there!!
Ewww is right. No excuses for being lazy taking a bath nowadays. At least she didn't have to haul water indoors!!
Off to do some serious food shopping since it's cooler to shop at night.
Thank God WM is open 24hrs.
tsk tsk tsk, Jaye - remember the days of "no Sunday or after 6pm Shopping" so families could spend evenings and Sundays together? lol teasing you, Jaye - 'cept you shouldn't say "thank God" cuz it was we humans who wanted to shop at all hours LOL
(good thing I know you can take a joke, cuz otherwise I'd get scolded right back LOL)
LOL i bet Austin would love to shower with the garden hose LOL
no we don't allow lazy at our house . Only on sundays after prayers in the morning . then let the lazy begin ! LOL
well i hope things with her go better. tonight was good. She seems in a better mood for the moment.
i know she ain't right in the head but sheesh, this is just her mean coming out.
have fun at wally Jaye. i like to do my shopping early morning since no one is there at 7 am but me. no lines
LK how is the weather in Tx ? hot i imagine. triple digits ? i sure wish we had some of that , cuz my sweet potato's sure could use some triple numbers.
hugs to you all
Crissy hey girl !!! how are things ?
Susan what is the weather in your neck of the woods ?
ok everyone else take care and eat some good things .
hugs and smiles
sue
Right now it is only 95! We hit 99 today! Humidity of 56% made it 106 heat index...
It sure is cooler here than y'all.......... we only got to 75F/24c
But, it was nice and sunny!
The Pope lives in the Vatican in Rome, just had to add to something I know. LOL
It is a city all its own.
Some of So. Ca. is getting a lot of hot weather, but so far it hasn't been too bad here. I'm glad we don't have high humidity all the time, couldn't handle that any more. But, I'm going to have to get out early in the morning to give all my pants and veggies a nice drink (water that is).
Morning Synda! How ya doing?
Send some of that rain here please?
Off for a CT scan. I will be back later.
Good Morning Ladies,
We got rain yesterday, it started about 10 am and did NOT stop until about 6 pm. Now the temps are going to be in the high 70's until Friday then in the 90's, come Sunday 104 ugh:(
good morning everyone
synda good to see you
thanks Pegi for the info... guess i need to catch up on my religion's ... *bows head *
i am hoping my DD gets in the shower today.... peeeyoooo. or she gets the hose.
we do have a tent in the back yard and that is where she wil stay if she don't get in the shower
I know there are conditions in the mental illness world , that people don't shower or bathe due to fear ect... ? but this is not it !
or i hope its not it ! she has been like this since she was a kid ?
it was much easier to control when she was 6 yrs old ..... today she is 20 and 265 lbs !!! can't carry that in the tub LOL
i know i can sound a bit rash or like a bully ,but the humor of it all , is just how i deal with it .
we got sun and warm temps coming in this week.
i have been busy potting up plants
digging and rearanging the gardens.
kids are playing with the kittys.
Lucy is going crazy and sits at the other side of the door.
bbl
Morning everyone!!
Susan, we didn't leave till AFTER that talent show's over. Kel wanted to watch the finals of "The Voice"!!! We left at 11.00 pm and didn't return till 1 a.m!!! Can you imagine us having corn dogs for a late supper?
Was late getting up and had a speedy devotion!! Lolol.. but did water the plants.
Sue, you're not being cruel. Your DD's hygiene is detrimental to her mental health too. Bet all her doctors would you give you high 5s if you were to tell them.
Say what you want over here, you'll get the positive support needed.
Lucky for you ladies that got some rain. Still waiting on a heavy downpour.
you had corn dogs at 1am????? yikers!
Sue - I agree with Jaye - it's detrimental to mental health to be so dirty!
Well, I think you are taking much more than I can handle. Sure isn't a good influence around your kids either. You will have to carry around with you a can of Oust for orders, just kidding.
It's 8:15 AM and I better get out and do my watering before it starts to warm up. I know I have another patty pan squash to pick, maybe now I can cook the two of them up for a meal for me. DH wouldn't eat what is good for him if I didn't put it on his plate, talk about spoiled kids!!!
Sue, I love you but I wouldn't put up with it, she would be admitted for the showering disorder problem, change the locks and don't answer the door or phone. The problem is never going to go away unless it is dealt with by a professional or a team of professionals.
Here's a link to the Joplin tornado damage
https://picasaweb.google.com/christinepix/2011JoplinEF5Tornado?authkey=Gv1sRgCOrzvfOC1ICxlwE
We got rain, lots of it too!!! I also came home to some rather large limbs down. Why is it always the green limbs and not the dead ones that fall? One just barely missed the carport and am I ever thankful it did...might have had some damage.
It is good to be home and this time I do feel much better about Mom. I had a nice talk with the social worker and Hospice nurse. According to them, she is stable and no changes health wise. Of course the ones that are associated with her age are obvious...hands becoming less useful from that old uncle we all seem to share.
Need to run get some items for the cupboard, will chat later.
(((((((((((((((((Marion))))))))))))))))) It's difficult dealing with a parent's age, isn't it?
My mom is 92, and I'd love to be able to see her - I think I'll have to arrange a trip to see her (use my AirMiles.....)
Now that the Postal Strike is over, I can order the tickets and know they will arrive lol
Marion sending T&P for you and mom.
Guess who took a shower today !!!! and used soap !! waaahoooo. i guess the Greyhound threat worked LOL
Crissy to funny , but yes i made some therapy session for her. This is crazy.
hard enough to be a fat person but a fat person who stinks. Gosh its just a social ban if that.
Pegi hehehehe carry a can of Oust. I got them Glad plug in and plugged them in next to the couch and a Glad Fresh Air spray thing. The ones that when you walk by them, they automaticaly spray *giggling* very entertaining when she first walked by it ROFLLL.
taking a lunch break
orange slices , yogurt with blueberries and water. trying to watch my eating. The emotional eating i was doing packed on 12 lbs and i ain't liken dat fer sure,,,
Crissy - I just looked at the thread re: Joplin tornado May 22nd!! O my goodness - it sure caused a lot of havoc! I hope everyone you know and love are safe. That one house that said "Cat still missing; we are OK" They obviously wanted people to not worry should they stop by. And the other one "God Bless Everyone" said it all..........
How're they all doing in the aftermath?
Again, I cry.. send some of that rain over!!!
Still bone dry here. Any day now it will be dust dry!!!
Marion, it must make you feel a tad better knowing that at least for now, your mum's stable.
Those careworkers there will also keep a close eye on her for they are aware of 2 very caring daughters who'd set their behinds straight if your mum's ever in need of anything!
I'm not 60, yet that Uncle of mine makes frequent visits :(
Hey Susan. I am sure you try to connect with your mum frequently, if you can't see her?
When my mum was alive, I failed to call her as much as I should, thinking one day, I'll return... Never knew that she'd die @ 60.
Whew.. she did it!! Good for you Sue!! Maybe deep down, she's truly afraid of being abandoned? She just want to see how far she could push your buttons.
Crissy, thank you dear one. I don't think I'd have dry eyes if I were to pass that area.
That Burger King playground survived as the structure is more 'yieldy' compared to the boxy rigid buildings.
Buildings can be erected again, but those survivors will have a tough fight rebuilding. I hope their insurances and especially FEMA co-operate.
Afternoon everyone. Well, I went in for a CT scan this moring and they needed to inject a contrast dye for the images to show up better. Well, guess who found out the hard way I am allergic to iodine contrast? I got through the test just fine, they took out the IV and I walked across the room and sat down to put on my shoes. When I reached for the first shoe, my throat and face started burning and itching really bad. They went to get the Dr. And by the time he got there, I had hives on my neck and face. So they immediately put another IV in my wrist, and gave me steroids and liquid benadryl. I had to call Todd so he could drive me home after I spent at least an hour so they could keep an eye on me. When I got home, I had a very nice benadryl nap! All is well now, but I was told to never allow anyone to inject me again with that stuff!
Sue, glad to hear she took a shower today.
Susan, you can order tickets online, and print them out immediately. No waiting for them to arrive in the mail. Just go to your choice of airlines, like AA.com search for the dates and time, pick your seats, and order. Then just print your e-tickets.
Cindy, can you send some of that rain here please?
Owww Sistah!! What a way to learn you're allergic to iodine!
Now you have to watch those seafood that's rich in it.
Hope the results come out good.
Yep, no more shrimp... :(
Yikes LK, that is scary. Funny thing, Charles (son) had the same reaction when he was about 7 years old but has outgrown it as he got older. Hummm, now that I think about it, it might be cheaper if he still reacted as he can break a person with shrimp now. Please take care of yourself.
Hey Marion, glad to hear your back home.
Dr. said I may not have another reaction, but if I did have one, it would most likely be a lot worse, so he said better be safe than sorry as they never know when one will have the allergic reactions!
I totally agree. My sister has to carry an epi pen (think that is what it is called) with her at all times.
we got rain yesterday!!!!
