hey all. I've been stunned watching the Anthony trial on tv. Can't seem to pull myself away. I'm up to walking 3 miles a day on my tread mill and it has helped me lose 15 lbs. still need about 65 more to go. Wish me luck.

Sending prayers for Neener and her Mom.
Also including prayers and love for Cookie and her family. I think of both Neener and Cookie everyday and all that they are going through. So far, Mom seems to be holding her own, eating everything that doesn't eat her first (LOL) and more resigned to the fact there is no way we can take her home and care for her. The biggest change I think I have noticed is it takes a little longer for her to remember things (her computer is slow to boot up according to Kim) but she does remember. I should be so lucky to have her memory if I live to 92.
It is extremely hot down here but have been having some really nasty late afternoon storms. Not much rain but oh the thunder and lightning.
Returning to the lake the first part of next week. Stay well and cool all.
Glorious day all!
Susan, hope you got more plants coming up, not only the hosta. You need to move down South for a longer growing season.
Good luck Savannah... Sue.. hope you'll get a blue ribbon for the chickens.
That's fantastic, Deborah. You have will power to stick to the thread mill. Congrats on losing 15, you're on your way to lose more!!
I'm listening to the TotMom case too. Just can't fathom the lies told, and it seems to me her family's conspiring to get her off the death penalty.. at least. Lord knows what's going on with Casey.
Hi Barb! How's your weather in NH? Are you starting to enjoy blooms and has that bear returned?
MaidM, wishing you a safe trip and stormless days.
Tell Kim that her grandma at least has a good memory card though she's slow to boot :D
It's good to know that your Mum has accepted her situation and
she would get better care there with all the help available.
Hey Charleen, I'm wondering how many hours you spend a day in your garden and taking care of the long ears. Plus you have poultry too? Do you have to groom Charley and company everyday?
I'm about worn out everyday, just from deep watering and taking care of the rescues.
LK, you didn't say what brand you got. At least you won't need an external modem.
Thanks for the tea.. you know I still have this terrible cough!

We've had rain for the last four days but no thunder and lightening yet. It is supposed to clear tomorrow and we should see some sun - hooray!!!! I'm only on the computer for a few minutes ata time so I don't strain these eyes. They are healing very nicely and I want ot keep it that way. Jaye - just got home from doing a whole bunch of "running around" and tried to call, but it's much later there, so sure you're in bed (as you should be resting).
I'll definitely call you tomorrow!
If I have to get another computer in the future (been saving some dollars) I think it will be another Dell. I've had good luck with this one. All this technology is truly amazing.

Yes I know but what kind of processor does it have?
Might be an Intel Core, i3 Processor?
Hello ladies. A brief visit today.. need to get more zzzzs.
Sorry Susan I missed your call. I was in bed reaaaaal early last night.. like 10 pm.
Barb, we need your rain!!! Yep, you're doing the right thing by limiting your time in front of the monitor :D
Catch y'all later.
Sorry Cindy, yes Jaye is correct.

hey Jaye!! beginning to think you either always in bed, or outside gardening! Tried to call you again LOL
Sue, any word on the apartment for your Daughter? Your braver than I am! I get sick from food, and I won't go back.
no word on apt yet ... :(
Cookie i think your right that hosta is not Wide Brim... ? any idea's ? i hate getting the wrong hosta ! grrrrr.
this morning was fun
while gardening Lucy ate a mystery plant ? and i spent 30 min chasing her and then another 15 min digging it out of her slobbery, drooling , foaming mouth..... just nasty !
Morning everyone! Coffee is ready. English muffins, flavored cream cheese, and lots of fresh fruit.
Thanks Linda, sounds so good. Good thing I stopped in as I was hungry. Some mornings I wake up before the birds and this morning is one of them.
Going to thrift store today, my weekly outing. LOL
Thanks for the cream cheese!! Perfect with my freshly picked blue berries, LK.
Now you have a good time playing with your new tower!!
Pegi, wish I'm going along with you. But then, we both might be fighting for the same things.
Sue.. you need to link this thread to the ORVG! Lolol!!!!!
Cookie will soon be here and agree upon that hosta!
Are you putting your tummy up for another test??? I would have never returned unless the owner contacted me and assured things have changed.
Perhaps, next time you insist on giving another try, place a huge bottle of Mylanta right in the middle of the table. A necessary condiment in that restaurant!!
Oh no.. Lucy's starting to 'lunch' on flora!!! Bad, bad Lucy.
I'm lucky that Hambone and Lola aren't vegeterians!!
Susan, thanks for trying again. I regret not asking you for a song :( Maybe another time. It was truly good hearing from you. Thought I'd be in bed by 10.. instead I was up till midnight, watching 2 dvds of Whoopi on Broadway.
She's a very perceptive comedian. Her piece on Anne Frank moved me.
Rain supposed to be coming to NC. There are still wildfires but not as severe as some states. Somehow, the meteorologist doesn't include our city in that band of possible rain :(
So off to deep, deep watering I go.
Jaye - I will only sing to you if you're in need of a "pick-me-up" and I would love to do that for you. Are you available now? It must be 1:50 for you now........
dropped in for a sec..thought all could do with hearing Shania Twain's new single..

Good Morning Ladies,
What crazy crazy weather we are having. A huge storm is headed our way, should hit around noon, with thunder and lightening, then come the weekend 104. A neighbor is moving and has been giving us all kinds of stuff. Gave us a cream colored leather sectional, has some wear and tear but oh so comfortable 2 recliners and a console in the middle, and a Firefly Magna 18 speed bike for me. It has been years since I've rode a bicycle.
Here's something from Joel Osteen - "It's Time To Believe Again". I found it when I was listening to Shania's new single. Thank you, Betty ^_^

Cindy!! Lucky you. I'll take free furniture anytime. That's no such thing as life long furniture.
Now you'll have another toy to play with.. the bike.
Sis Kathy, send some over. I could use those canned tomatoes :D I have 3 jars of sweet pickles this year, but all canned by sister Carolyn.
LK will have a lifetime memory for sure!!
Hi there Pegi... Crissy!!!!
Cindy, sounds like you scored with the free furniture and bike!
Hey Sis, sounds like you have been busy canning your veggies! Sounds really good. Ya gonna share recipes of your pickles?
Father William, the old priest, made it a practice to visit the parish school one day a week. He walked into the 4th grade class, where the children were studying the states, and asked them how many states they could name. They came up with about 40 names. Father William jokingly told them that in his day students knew the names of all the states.
One lad raised his hand and said, 'Yes sir, but in those days there were only 13 states.'
From Thou shall laugh.
ROFLMBO that is to funny Jaye LOL oh wiping tears from eyes ....
