Hosta/Rose/Mini's
She's about to...61... Summer is upon us!
love your new gardens, Patti, are hostas and cactus not to have much water? if so someone better tell me now.. LOL
Happ, I do alot of baskets.. they end up growing into the ground, I get them at garage sales and davs..
Love the hibiscus, my Kopper King is blooming, but I keep missing them.. Love that morning glory, LindaKay, it looks like a cross between jaimie lynn and shiva.. save me a seed pod of that one.. very very nice..
Happ, I never used gloves on poison ivy until my first break out on my hand.
I have the cactus planted in the rock with a hole in it and in the logs where there are spots I could put dirt and plant them. It is just hens and chicks and a sedum. Started out to be a cactus garden, but turned into more of a hosta garden. :-)
too much water will kill the cacti.
Debra, if it produces a seed I will save you some!
I just got this message from Susie in the other room. Not for sure what she is saying, other than she is off to the Dr. maybe a blood clot!
Say your prayers please?

Dang I hope it is nothing serious with Susie. Please keep us informed! Sounds like her birdie is helping her key.... ;)
As soon as I hear anything I will let you all know.
Love all the morning glories, and that lily dizzy is very pretty.
rvnsbrk, I love the head board, that is too cool and the mg's are beautiful. Isn't it fun when things really come together.
I don't water the cactus. It only gets water when it rains.
Susie posted in another thread. She had an infection in her leg. She is back home with meds, and pretty much on bed rest, till it heals up.
This is her post from the critter swap thread...
Evening all sorry for being Missing today was at the Drs office & He sent me to the ER at the Hospital Woke up with Inffection in my leg so had to go for blood work to see what type of infection To get the right antibiotic Drip for it . FEEL SO MUCH BETTER RIGHT NOW & My leg is less painfull.
but i just got home about an hour ago & I have to get my leg elevated.
sorry Partner CANNOT drive till i get off these meds I have all of your gifts & Hope to feel up to it by monday
well you all have a good night i need to lay back .
LOL, Laughing at my silly self. Nita, Yesterday when I read your post about us having similar MG pictures, my brain thought the picture was mine. Rereading your post now is when I had to say Duh to me.
So glad Susie is better and thank God it isn't more serious.
Debra, love your Glory, I have that one blooming also.
Another section of the MG fence.
I have a thornless Blackberry bush/vine on the back fence and this morning I went out to pick berries for a cobbler (5th cobbler in 2 weeks). When I planted the Blackberry, it was small so when I wanted a place to put another swing, I chose to put it in fron of the Blackberry. This morning the swing, now holding flower pots, was a pretty sight. Had to go back and get camera. (Should know better than go outside without it)
My surprise on the front side of fence. White Datura and Yellow Hibiscus.
Blackberries behind swing. Took pic after picking!

Beautiful pictures Faye!
What does she smell like???
rvnsbrk, I love the head board, that is too cool and the mg's are beautiful. Isn't it fun when things really come together.
Happ I found that headboard along the side of the road awhile back. It had a sign on it "Free". It looked like someone's woodshop project from school. I knew I could use it somehow. Just took me a little to get it done. Had to make a few modifications to get it upright and fastened into the ground so we'll see how long it lasts.
Faye I have despaired of even having any brugs this summer. They are so pitiful looking it will be December before they bloom. Oh well I have since discovered lilies and 4'oclocks and I have lots of good smelly things around here.
Nita if you noticed, my Angel is much smaller than usual. I'm watering and feeding, and as soon as the leaves are pretty, Spider Mites start again. Do not know what else to do.
I know what you mean about the mites. I have a big Xena that was my first brug. I've been fighting the mites for a couple of years on it. They go away, but the plant itself is really struggling from it. I think my biggest screw up was planting them in the ground again this year. Our soil is pitiful and I should have just put them in pots. They would be farther along.
EVENING All WELL FOLLOWING DOCTORS ORDER Leg up so Not easy to get up to the computor & hard to operate the ipod .
daddys calling back in a Min :)
Ok starting to feel somewhat better The Rednest haswent down in my leg , pain is fading , but i still have my chills & fever, I get up long enough to fix meals for daddy that is it & Take my meds then back to bed under the covers & it is 80* outside & usually I;m striped down .
I hope these anitibiotic take hold soon, daddy is getting ready for bed so i will go shut out the lights & get back under my blankets will try to answer other post when i feel up to it so if anyone ask I WILL BE BACK.
have a great evening .
susie
WITCHES BREW
Susie, what did you do to your leg, to get an infection? Sending prayers it heals quickly.
Take care of yourself, Susie. You know we're all here for you and are wishing you a speedy recovery.
I'm still kicking myself for not picking up a white and brass "day bed" frame at a yard sale last year. It would have been the perfect place to plant some of the smaller Daylilies and MG's could have twined up the rails.
