Whew LK, so glad you were still there and could get immediate help. Please take care, what were test for? Did you get any results?
Will just tell you now that you will be in my prayers tonight and daily, praying that whatever is wrong will soon be better.
Nita, bet your bottom dollar you can have seeds from Chocolate, if there are any.
Goodnight my dear friends.
Love & hugs

I am having a lot of pain in the center of my lower stomach, Dr, told me I had some nodules at the top of my vaginal cuff? He doesn't know if it my ovaries acting up, or maybe my diverticulitis? I will know next week sometime?

I a doing fine now, just really sleepy!

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Oh Linda Kay, bad enough not to feel good, then to have a reaction to the stuff. Well least you know now and can look out for it. Hope everything turn out good on the other stuff....

Crit we have those moon flowers in the pig fields.....I get seeds whenever I can, but it is the strangest thing, the only time I see that datrua are after the pigs (I don't have pigs but far away neighbors do THANK GOODNESS they are far away) have torn up the ground and there is nothing absolutely nothing there but those datruas blooming. The pigs know not to eat them aparently. They are so heavenly in the evening and that big old white bloom is beautiful. I bought a purple swirl and a yellow at Larrys Nursery 2 for $5.00. They are not big yet but blooming up a storm.

Stay cool everyone.

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

lol @ happ and the pig fields. Well, I guess they are considered a weed.

Glad you got another bed cleaned out susie. That is always a good feeling!

Man, the forecast just keeps getting worse. Now, 6 out of the next 7 days are over 100*. The 7th day 'cools down' to 99*. Sheesh, I don't know if I can keep up with watering.

I have a question on the brugs. Do the brugs prefer part sun to full sun? I have a couple that just don't seem to be doing as well as others that are right next to it. One is in a brown pot but I am going to change it over to a terra cotta pot, but the other already is in one.

When you girls use your label makers to make plant tags, how do you attach them to the tags? I made some to put on my platic T tags, but they peel off. I used some heavy wide tape on it, but don't know if it will stay.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

All brugs are different. Some like more sun than others. Some require more water than others. If they are in pots, just move them around, till you find them a happy place. Don't forget to fertilize them with miracle grow once a week.

Sorry, can't answer you about the label maker. I don't use one. What kind are you using?

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

Yea! Temp did not get above 100 today... how wonderful.. it was only 97 today.. last night on the news they said out of the last 23 days 21 were over 100 so it was time to have some lower temps. Most have been around 108. It actually felt COOL.. LOL I am enjoying all the pics of flowers.. most of my brugs in post have died.. just too hot on them.. I have not been able to keep them watered enough... I have tried but it has just been too hot and dry. The humidity has been about 3 to 5% and it sucks the moisture right out of everything.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

104 today, everything is frying.. love your deck garden, susie, and love that braveheart too!

I have been using the Bayer 3 in 1 on my brugs every Saturday. May have to switch to the MG because I'm about out of the Bayer. It's so expensive, but I've seen a difference in the brugs. Had one whose leaves were kinda yellow, but now the new ones coming out are dark green.

I have a DYMO label maker I got at Wal-Mart

Sand Springs (Tulsa), OK(Zone 7a)

Great looking brugs deejay. I may have to move them out of the open and sun. They are on the north side of the house, and I can put them up next to the privacy fence that gets morning sun, but is shaded about 2' out in the afternoon.

WOWZER Tammie ..... that is just miserable temps. It is the humitiday that gets to us. That is the extra 'slap in the face' here. You just set in a chair and sweat if running off of you!

OH chit .... time to get ready for work. TGIF and the long weekend!

Checking in to say HI to everyone.

Happy Birthday, Tammie, and many more! Oh I love Red Lobster, don't get there too often either. How about some Chesapeake Crablegs to go with your dinner? lol...these are the blooming kind.

We're supposed to hit 100 or close to it for he first time this week-end. So many Daylily blooms are on their way out and some have already set seed pods :( Poor coneflowers looked so washed out with hardly any color. They were so vibrant before the darn heat set in with hardly any rains.

Happy BIrthday Tammy!!! I'd sure go to Red Lobster any time you want to!!! DH and I go quite a bit.

Sheesh, just read my post from earlier .... humitidy????? LMBO How about humdidity? lol All I know is it is HOT!

Our Dollar General has all their pots on sale for 50% off. I bought several yesterday.

Have a good time LK.

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

Hi to all you "Hot" ladies. Well it's hot here! All the blooms are so pretty, even I have some/many pretty ones.happgarden, do you still have these Coleus? You posted them last Summer. If so, could you do a start for me? Or send me cuttings please.
Rustic Orange Coleus, Alabama Sunset, Versa Lime &Sedona. I went back looking for the list of Daylilies I had gotten so I could label mine right and to see which Lilies I took to the RU.
LK, that sure is a yummy looking cake so let's all sing Happy Birthday to Tammie. LOL, I'll just sit this one out simply because I cannot sing.
Love & Hugs to all

Yeah, they had stacks of pots out front Wednesday and stopped there before taking my MIL to her dr. appt. No sale here so I left...bummer. But you hit the jackpot, Susie :) When I need 2-3-4 gallon size pots, the best place I've found is one of our local nurseries and pay $0.25 apiece. Course they're just plain old black plastic leftover from landscaping jobs.

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Faye I've got an Alabama Sunset coleus and many others. Be glad to start you some in the Fall if you want.

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

Thank you Nita, sure wish they were on my patio now. Could cuttings possibly live to travel in this heat? And yes Nita, please do. Thank you so much.

Thumbnail by dahtzu
Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

I have several of the coleus left. A million years ago I got roses and each stem was in a little tube. If I can find some of those I know they would travel pretty well if we got a break in the weather. I don't think they would do any good as hot as it is. I think this winter I will keep my cuttings on a heating mat and see how they do. I will start cuttings and see how they do for now and see what happens, either they root or the weather drops and I will ship.

Went to a bunch of junk stores today with friends. I was up to 5:30am to water because I knew we were going to hit a 100! We had so much fun! Then if you can believe this we went to a car show! But home now in the air. Air conditioning is a nice thing...rofl.

Beautiful blooms you guys!

Wow what a catch on all those pots! Wowzer....

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

Nice coleus I Don't have the touch for them .
GM yes I Was at the right place right time all their Pots & Planters are on sale even the Big white ones are now $6. even the 1/2 barrel type I think are now $4. MAY have to take a ride today for more if i can trick daddy into it :) .

Well, we did Red Lobster then I went to my parents to watch TV.. spent time on the computer there showing mom how to access the Glenn Beck programing on line.. we watched some of that until 4am.. came home and watered the plants... got in the house only to find that my cat is still refusing to use her litter box! I don't know what has gotten into her.. it is driving me absolutely crazy. She went all over one of my dogs bed and blankets so I cleaned up everything and got it into the wash.. cleaned the floor in the dogs room, cleaned out the cage.. cages were used when they were show dogs but now are just there as their own private homes when they want to go into them.. doors are never closed... here it is 6:20am and I am just getting into bed! Brought the computer in to the bedroom to check mail before going to sleep. Guess I will sleep late today. At least I know the plants are well watered... the few that are alive.

Anyone want a 12 year old cat ????? I just don't get it!!!!! I did make a mistake and try a different litter but when I realized she did not like it I dumped it out and got her regular stuff... but she just won't use her box anymore....I feel like locking her in the atrium with her box but she does it on the floor in there instead also and I end up cleaning up that mess too.... I have done loads and loads of laundry the past two weeks because of this. I keep finding things of the dogs that she has messed up. I feel terrible because we are supposed to be conserving water and I have done more laundry in the past 2 weeks than I usually do in 2 months.

(Tammie) Odessa, TX(Zone 7b)

What store had pots on sale??? Would love to find somethig large for my palm tree.. it is outgrowing its pot.

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

Our $$$ General Stores not sure if you have them down there or not I Have a $5 off of any $20. I spend today
Only BUT don't look as if i will be able to get there today .

well waiting for my Jeans to dry so i can go out & play :)

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Faye I will do rooted cuttings for you. We may get a cool spell again soon. The weather is weird now so who knows. Fruity I know you wanted some coleus too. I have some already started and then all the stuff with my Dad happened and I lost the thread mentally. Let me know if you still want some for this summer or want to wait until Fall. They will work good on your plant stand. :))

Susie this pics for you. The are from your daylilies for postage deal. Let me know if you do that again.

Tammy generally when a cat is having that kind of problem it's a couple of things. Either they have a urinary tract infection or they are ticked off at you for some reason. Although my 22 year cat that passed in January was doing that too before he went. Could be age related as well.

DH had a cat when we got married. A couple of years ago she started doing her thing in the hall way where we could see it when we first came in the front door. The carper was a light blue and it was getting so stained and horrible looking from that, we finally gave her away. Never could figure out the reason, nothing had changed. I'd heard that if they are mad at you, or their box is dirty they will do that. DH wasn't real good about cleaning it out, but even when it was fresh she would use it some then start doing in the hallway again. STUFID CAT.

I love coleus. I got some last fall from coleup on one of the DG threads. They are beautiful and doing great. I'm going to have to move a few things around though, as they do not like this hot hot sun. I would love some starts if you all want to trade some. I should be able to get some nice starts of the ones I have. Don't have names, but could get some pictures.

Beautiful flowers everyone. Faye, is that a MG or something else? The bloom is sooo big! Like a lily.

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

Thanks all for the Coleus offers. Crit that bloom, and yes it really is that big, is a Morning Glory from seeds that Debra or Susan sent me.

Happy early 4th to you all!
Hugs
