LindaKay, I'm sure the Bike-a-Thon for the 'cure' will be a success! Thanks for the support!

Thought as I've not quite enough time to get myself dirty/sweaty in the garden I'd relax for an hour...

Just too excited, peonies were grandma's favorites and I've never been able to grow them in my garden, this year I have 4 ready to flower..

Flax are one of the earliest blooms and go from spring to fall..love them as they are tiny and the stem nothing but a miniature spike and the blow along with the breeze...

Time to start digging out wild geraniums..lordy they pop out in large mounds all over the place, some pink, some purple...

Does so look like mine...well it's that time, must get dressed, not sure how to dress seeing is the wind is up, but sun is out and I'll be peddling and hot..many in layers but then where would I put the layers when they come off lol

This is one of the 2 containers of pansies the nursery GAVE me for free on Friday..I bought quite a bit and they said that seeing as they have no time for deadheading they were giving containers to individuals who purchased over $75.00 so that was me..

Beautiful flowers Betty! Wow, look at those hosta's!
Please don't over do it on the bike run!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Why is it LindaKay that everything happening falls on same weekend? Won't overdo, if I feel tired I can always sit on a trail bench and join in on their way home lol

Although I keep working out in the yard there still seems so much to do, need another full weekend to get on top of it, say bye bye to this weekend and next will be a Friday night wedding, a visit to step father to bring him a loaded with books e- reader for his birthday/fathers day gift, a tombstone floral arrangement for Roger and flowers for grandad/dad which are visits to 3 different cemeteries...so not next weekend either..life just gets soooo busy!

How about your day, are you still nearing 100 degrees and humid? Maybe a trip to the lake might be in order..the place where you and sons family went last year? You have a pool right, is it too hot to just get in ad float Round..imagine the water would be so hot it would be like bathing in hot water..

I'm ready to start my day, I've enough time to ride my bike and take ti e to enjoy the sights along the trail, must give it to the municipalities of ours and surrounding ones, they've made 1st class trails, all paved, seating areas, picnic areas..great for all ages!

So here it goes......

Enjoy your day everyone

Lyndonville, NY

Betty, I do not know about flowers blooming....but the weed are! I am serious...I found these beauties among the weeds tall as they were. I am not supposed to be out there yet pulling weeds...and do not trust DH!

Debbie, those are so pretty.
Betty, it is still got here. it has been 98 to 101 all week, and they are predicting the same temps next week. Very humid here too. We have one of the blue pools from Wal-Mart, and that really helps. Todd and I will go for a dip about 4 or 5 in the afternoon and when we get it out, it just feels so refreshing. Makes that warm air feel cool!

Excellent, excellent, excellent!!!! How wonderful for Kyle to have 3 Grandmothers there to support his cause. Ya did it Betty - you finished the ride!!! Kudos to you my dear.
Judy just going off to SI to check your pics. Soooo glad you and Barb got together.

Noah was the 1st one finished again this year..3 years running..the rest of us I think took our time to enjoy the trail

And when we reached the 1/2 way mark we were at Fort Saint Marie Among the Hurons...Crissy you might remember that I took you there..
That was the week tornado hit Midland and a few areas of the Fort were closed..

Way to go Noah! Wow, first place for 3 years! Nice job! Betty, looks like everyone had a great time, looks pretty warm today!

Victoria Harbour, ON

And on the other side of the road is the Martyrs Shrine..took you there as well Crissy!...great view after peddling hard..I made the excuse as all were heading back that I wanted to take my time and get photo's, enjoy the day..lol..what fibbing that was..needed to rest and I'm sure they knew it

Thumbnail by Bettypauze
Victoria Harbour, ON

View is fantastic all along the route..you didn't get to do much of the trail that somebody was on it other than the Ride..a group from Coldwater were fundraising for Heritage House, families out roller blading, some walking..great way to get fit..I should be using more than a few times a year..

Thumbnail by Bettypauze
Victoria Harbour, ON

Few heritage pieces along the trail...

So now I've done my commitments for the weekend undecided if I should just sit and relax or go get something done in the gardens..non ending isn't it.

I would say weather LindaKay was in high 60's with a breeze..perfect day to get out..

Kyle didn't do as well as last year but think counting up the past three years he's made $9,000 so you can't fault his efforts

One last photo..

My grand nephew was the youngest riding..when all was said and done and we waiting in line at the hot dog stand, Noah and I were chatting with him..he looked at me and you I'm the winner you lost lol (even though he was the last to get in) so I said indeed you are a winner, you were the youngest, I am a winner because I was the eldest and Noah was a winner because he came in first and all others were winners because they came out to support the cause..he kept eyeing me up and down not sure what to make of it..

Debbie, amazing what you find in amongst the weeds..love the roses..it will be sometime before any of mine are in bloom.

Judy enjoy the graduation

All others..waving..

What a wonderful day for the ride Betty. The temps were really perfect. I can just imagine your pride in Kyle and he so deserves it. What a wonderful tribute to his parents as well.

We got home from the horse show and I have to tell you I am wiped out. But only from being in the sun for hours. It was wonderful and I, too, am so proud of my grandson. This was his first show and he was so nervous....Here he is waiting for his turn to ride.

I was really impressed with his carriage (the way his posture is while riding)...

And I also admire his focus.....

In a field of seven, he took fourth place. I am so happy for him.. He went on to ride in four more events and took another fourth as well. For his first show, I am so happy for him....
Edited because I can't spell......
