Wish we had the 70s Betty. All I can do is sit inside and look at all my weeds. Some of the DLs are getting ready to bloom. I still have some to put in the ground but I can't take the humidity. OH WELL, such is life. Hugs to all BEV

Taking my sister neighbor to the vet to pick up her cat then maybe spray some roundup if the wind stays down. I will go visit Scotty tomorrow. Clean up the house a little when it gets too hot. This summer is going to be a booger I am afraid. BEV

Scotty told them that if he can't have a private room that he will go to another home !!! I am going to tell him after all I have gone through that if he moves I will no longer go see him. That will put a bee in his bonnet. Don't you think??

Bev, not sure if it is the same in USA as here but the wait for any room is long and you don't have a choice of which home you will get, could be quite a distance from family..unless that is, you've mega $$$ and can afford a private home..I would say that would put a bee in his bonnet..as always love the photos..When it's humid such as it's been I would suggest you stay inside, feet up and browse through your photo's..see the pretty flowers and not outside making yourself ill!

Laughing at our Debbie, imagine leaving the weeds until they become flowers..only you would suggest such a thing Debbie...my laugh of the day for sure!!! How are you doing today, have you heard from Dianne on other threads?

Laura, any photo's...was thinking of you this past weekend, what a lovely time in your lives! Envious for sure. Ohhh you can make some garden pavers with the leaves..

Was out in the garden before 6am this morning..watered and then Darlene had dropped off white phlox so got them planted..men left at 7:30 so gave me time to sweep and wash the floors, trying to keep on top of things..if all goes well today they will be leaving tomorrow afternoon..

They purchased this tri-plex 2 months ago so it's nice to see landlords that upgrade the facilities so quickly..

We went into Fredericksburg about 20 minutes from camp.
Old town with shops and battlegrounds and homemade icecream.
It was so hot we had a hard time doing the walk about town to see all.
I will find camera a post pics.

Fredericksburg sounds lovely..name sounds so familiar, wonder if I was there on my travels..
was there a lake nearby the campground so you could swim?

Have not heard from Dianne, and we have been asking about her. Wondering if the storms we had 2 nights ago took out her hydro.....it was wicked here.

Debbie that's funny! I wait til my weeds turn to flowers too! I got some really nice ones, some bright yellow and pink daisy looking ones, small purple and white ones that look kind of like Johnny Jump Ups, and big pink 4 pedal ones. Of course they all go bye bye when Dave mows.

Betty it was 86* at 8:30 this morning! We have a 10* heat index too.

OMG, What a wonderful visit we had with Barb and Norm. Truley didn't want the day to end.
Will tell you all when I get home...Barbara is an absolutely beautful person and I am so very glad to have wrapped my arms around, many times! yep we armwrapped for all!

OMG, without thinking (do that a lot) I thought I mentioned the 3 men staying with me..in my conversation on msn with Sharon my sister, I was talking about the heat, having to put my a/c back in the windows but don't want to this year because I've just had all the windows replaced and don't want to secure it and wreck the windows..so said I had 3 men over, then mentioned what I made, THINK she thought (jokingly of course) that I was running a different kind of business when I said what I'd be getting would pay for portable a/c except for the taxes..too funny

Yeah probably salt. I take a low dose of lasix now but just take it when I stay home. I know that is a no no with my vascular disease .

Yeah right, my 20 year reunion that I'm not going to be able to go to is the last weekend of July and my dad doesn't have any money, he's on very limited income because of his habits, whenever I feel like drinking for a few days in a row I just think of what could have been and what he could have had, makes me sick, it's hard to keep him out of the bars so I usually don't take him anywhere. However, THAT is definitely something to plan for next year for the reunion!!! hint hint hint!!!!!!!!! No, he's never gone to the Vegas thing, he just does Joplin, Missouri and the nearby surrounding areas once in a while now.

You would have a blast with him, he's a kick in the pants!

I'm at work, that's what I dug up over the weekend, and I have just as many yellow ones! I put them on Craigslist for $3.00 ea plus postage, gonna try to sell them and make a little extra cash.

I have 7 different yellow ones and yellow is my least favorite color but they are pretty.

Oh my goodness I have missed you all. Friday afternoon my hard drive decided it had enough of this world and went kaput. Our local little computer store of course closes early on Friday and they don't work weekends. Anyway I am up and running now and trying to ctach up.
Haven't read all the posts made while I was gone but I understand Betty has a house full of men, Laura had a BD and I missed it, Judy and Barb got to hang out together, Cristy's dad is a kick in the pants, LK's fingers are feeling a bit better, Mary had a grand time at the wedding and her DSD2 decided to be a pill, Bev and Shirley are tackling paperwork, Debbie is letting her weeds grow until they flower ( and here I thought I was the only one who did that!). I will go back tomorrow and reread rather than scan quickly.

Mary, I just love your nieces wedding gown, and the pictures....very very "in the moment" shots!

The boys have been busy all day, especially Shane. He mowed the neighbor ladies lawn for her (she is 94) and came home, helped me with dinner. He and Kyle have been cleaning out the back bedroom as Kyle has been sleeping on Shanes floor. SO, tonight he will be in a bed with "windows" and circulation.

DD Shannon is off work for a few days, I think her next shift is Saturday, but they have been calling kids to "stay home" because there are NO shoppers....so have to cut payroll budget.

DH went down and "roto-tilled" the other elderly neighbors garden, in exchange for bringing the tiller back here and doing ours. SO, he is now finally ready to plant his peppers and such.

Tomorrow morning, I have PT and more errands....and I think a nap is in order!! lol

Did I post a picture of my clematis? This is the most blooms on it since I replanted it from Moms house so it was "shocked"

Flowers DH gave me after my surgery 2 weeks ago....still blooming, but about done.

Imagine, only thing to keep me up past 11pm is 3 men and a hockey game, must tell you all I'm going to miss these men, think it's more like the 2 brothers are so like my boys and being close to same age, well like having them both home with me.

Kyle dropped in to bring me more pledge sheets for Sunday's bike run and came with the big trike, guys thought it was something else. Mike cooked steak, corn on the cob, home fries and veggies on BBQ and didn't even burn a thing!

Dianne, was relieved to see you post, was starting to get worried big time...computers, well they are fixable, our Dianne and hubby aren't

Oooh guys just came upstairs, said they were going to try something new and go to bed before midnight so guess I can retire as well!! After watching the 1st off the last series of hockey game all shouted in last 16 seconds when Vacouver scored!! Stanley Cup is still a bit away thought...must say 'go canada'. Lol

For the most part, I do the flowering weeds....it all depends. He has been offering to help, and gets supervised.

The veggie garden is ALL his. He is very selfish about the garden, seriously. He is the ONLY one in the house that likes peppers of any kind, shane migh have a tiny strip....but DH plants at least 18 plants. He plants only his favorites of whatever he chooses. We have had "blite" with the tomatoes so are probably only putting minimal in of those.

I am heading for bed. Betty, I know you are enjoying your company...they sound like a fun group.

Hey Deb ! Thank you ... Yes loved that dress. Your "Adopted" teens... hence my comment on the swing that you would need a six seater... seems stray teens/squirrels, etc always dropping by.... Our peppers are producing but they NEVER get big ? may need to learn more about growing them or give up. We do have oodles of tomatoes.
The other veggies are suffering from us being out of town... no water... will take some time to get them back up to par. Deb please tell me what clematis like. I learned before the swap that Hubby wants one... so may buy one this weekend or better yet... Fathers Day....

Omg Bev, that's a dangerous situation, is doubtful though they would stay in town knowing the search is on. In penetanguishene they have a prison for the worse of worse, mostly murderers deemed insane but don't remember anyone escaping..when I was a child would go on tours of the facility, always so interesting..they stopped having tours as they said it was against the rights of inmates. Bev, be alert and lock those doors...

Laura, you will have to purchase bug powder for them or do you think it's too late for the squash..always battling bugs when you are a gardener, maybe 2 or 3 of all my lily survived last year's run with bugs.
