Def hot in the sun. Finally picked up some veggies, but will need to get more. Got lots of potting soil for the new planters.

Candy think I got you beat.. over 90 with the heat index.. and I was out in a parking lot with no shade all day

We hit 88. 86 now, with 49% H. Better day than yesterday. Tomorrow will suck. Hot and humid and t-storms.

Really a glorious day....wish I could have gardened.....

Don't think I would go that far! Too hot. I was dying out there.

The art room has a/c....maybe that's why it felt so nice today!

Okay Allison, you get this one. Only 40 minutes outside with no shade, the rest inside with barely a breath of air. Came home and cooled off then went for a walk on the new spur of the rail trail that opened close to me. Wasn't too bad. There are long stretches that are shaded. It's way too humid though.

luckily it was 'cooler near the coast' today high 70s. Still I don't garden as fast as I used to. It took over an hour tocheck which new seedlingss were out, take notes & write names in the log. Grocery shopping after lunch then test blood sugar. Got a couple crosses done & plants pictured. I just don't do that as fast as I used to.

I drank so much water today... and didn't go once.. LOL that's when you know it's hot.. think 5 bottles in 6 hours... and my pants are a wool blend (uniform) needless to say my socks were soaked from the sweat running down my legs.. came home and stood in the shower for 20 mins.. Randy already knew I was dying and even helped me untie my shoes to get them off faster... ROTFL

Tonight is the first of two 'Manhattanhenge' events of the year. That is when the sun sets exactly in line with the Manhattan street grid. So you can stand at any major cross street, like 34 or 42, and see the sun as directly west setting over Jersey. Draws big crowds these days.

Still hottt here in Texas. In the 90's. We drove to Brenham to tour the Blue Bell ice cream factory. At the end you get a dish of ice cream. I must say it was very good.
In the morning when I open the door to sit outside it has been like opening an oven door at 8 am. Most mornings I stay inside and drink my coffee. I am so excited about being able to sit outside in the garden with the IPad when I get home. It is very cool.

Sounds like Mexico, Cozumel, was about to dive a morning dive at 8 am, was 83° on my dive computer, had just ate Huebos Rancheros for breakfast...

- The ice cream must have been good. ☺

No - just means the air cannot hold anymore moisture and it would start condensing. It's a 'surface' measurement, not an indication of what is going on in the clouds.

It's a perfect 70 degree's with a nice breeze now. We had a storm come thru, dropped 1" size hail about 40 minutes from here. We just got really black skies, thunder & lightening and lots of rain...no hail thank goodness!
