The dismal weather continues.....prayers being sent to all who are being affected by it.
Lets hope some of the nice weather I had in DC comes this way.
The National Cathedral on a nice day.

54 °F now says we will hit 78 with isolated thundershowers this afternoon. I'd really like to mow a dry lawn!

Mid-Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5b)

Well, a warm and humid night. High today to be 83 with some sun, which is trying to break through right now. What a novelty. Have an extra long day today, early program this am and putting in the ESL garden this afternoon (baring thunder storms.) Should be a miserable day inside the school with the humidity. Oh well.

SUN !!!!!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

going to be a hot one today with t-storms predicted.

Louise thanks for the sympathy:) hope yogi stays away from your hosta's!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Very muggy. Will get into the 80's. 69, with 96% H now.

South Hamilton, MA

68° & cloudy

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Agree Victor, very MUGGY

Thomaston, CT

Also agreed! Hard to breathe......sun is trying to poke through, & when it does, it will be 80......good thing there's a/c in the art class.......

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

81° 54% humidity

high expected of 86° with severe t-storms tonight

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

72°, slight breeze from the Southwest at 4 mph, Rh 78%, cloudy

Foggy and cool this am then periods of sun, now cloudy again. Take the bonsai and the cactus out, bring them back in because it's too much rain, take them out, bring them back in... my sneakers are getting worn out!

Going up to 79° today, heavy afternoon thunderstorm very possible. Tonight, thunderstorms possible, dropping down to 59°.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hard to complain about the weather when people are suffering so much from the tornadoes, but this is miserable. We might get into June without even getting close to 90 yet. Unusual.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

My mom used to tell me to eat my green beans because there were people starving in Africa.
I told her it was fine by me if she sent the green beans to Africa...

(everything is relative ☺)

Blooming Grove, NY

Hi everyone! Jumping in from Blooming Grove NY. Our back yard talks to us now, it says "squish squish". I got tired of starting seeds in the house, and so I am still waiting to direct sow zucchini, cucumbers, scarlet runner beans, etc. There has been so little sunshine to warm the ground. Anyone else in this same 'boat' (hahaha)?

Blooming Grove, NY

P.S. If this weather keeps up, it will be a banner year for the leafy greens (thinking positive).

Hi, Lotta!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Haven't done my veggies yet for that reason.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Ours are still in the hardening off stage.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That's how my joints often feel.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Looks like the skies will burst any second.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

The skies did open up and we had a heavy rain for a few minutes. Now the birds are back to singing and all is well.

Mid-Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5b)

Ya hoo! It was sunny today. My ESL garden is started. The kids are so cute. Tomatoes, peppers, squash, watermelon and pumpkin seeds all planted. Deer net around the tomatoes and peppers for now. Still have plenty of seeds to go in, we got a start.

Otherwise, was hot and humid here today. Right now it's 78 in the shade. No rain so far, but thunderstorm warnings are out. I'm on my way out to walk with a friend. Feels like a celebration.

Thomaston, CT

Went to 75 here today.....and NO RAIN....not yet, anyway. My garden is just too wet to plant....maybe Thursday.....

South Hamilton, MA

It went up to the high 70s today & the sudden heat was hard to take. We do complain, don't we. Mailed birthday books to GDS in St Paul & weeded a small patch of sorrel out of a bed. Measured & wrote descriptions of a couple iris seedlings. No SDB crosses this yr unless some late buds come. Just too much rain which messes up the flowers for work. A couple possiblities for the taller ones ( not up to tall bearded) in my mind which might work.

Tornados around the OK city area where we were in May. Good luck to all the people.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes - now it's OKC's turn. 2 dead so far.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Not here. Nasty, muggy, gray day.

South Hamilton, MA

Thunder showers this evening. down to 64, should put the window down.

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I refuse to complain...it was 43 the other morning and raining. This morning it's 55 and not raining, going up to 75 today..cloudy but again NOT raining!
