Too hot here as well. The only good gardening today is in the shade. It's 67.4 but the humidity is 86%, and a lovely light breeze of 7 MPH. Had to laugh to see the "wind chill" is 67.
Getting worse. Trying to not give in and switch on the a/c but it's tough!

81 here today. Now I know I picked the right spot for the new veggie garden...trying to finish the squash bed and get my seedlings planted, and had to come in for a break. Water, then Ice cold lemonade and now my DP (partner)? DSO (significant other)? Jerry!- is cutting some watermelon.

I love watermelon too- it really cooled me off and I was able to go out and finish planting the squash. I think it's the hottest corner of the property-- I better get lots of goodies!
About 90° this afternoon. I did some weeding in the shade & went back out to check some number markers later on. I couldn't bend over to do it in the sun. Lower 70s predicted for tomorrow & 90 on Mon. ISM has a tour at Joe Pye Weed garden on Mon (bring your own lunch & chair) at 11 am to 2 pm. I bet Jan doesn't net me go out in the sunny part of the garden again.
Just lost my post. So, I was saying... Those pictures of Joplin are very dramatic. I can't even imagine what it would be like to have your house literally wiped off the face of the earth. Gone. And, were there people at home in those houses?
It's still 85 here and the air conditioners aren't in the windows yet so it's just fans. Wonder what the high was. I didn't look at the time. We have a chance of thunderstorms tonight but so far no sign.
We went down to the unofficial opening of the Farmer's market at the Walkway. There were a million dogs there, all panting. Had an overpriced mediocre dinner and walked back.
There are ants in my house.
