Weather in Your Garden # 97
Sunny and 70s here today....heading to Hollandia Nursery with my brother & cousins....yearly pilgrimage there, then out to a German restaurant for lunch....
Have fun, WC! Wish I were there.
70° & sunny. Perhaps you are inhaling pollen, debi.
Sunny and 79. Nice, but not for working. Too hot!!
Planting my final plants other than veggies and annuals - the three hydrangea from Rarefind, which just came.
Muggier than yesterday
80° right now with 56% humidity
Not really muggy here, but too hot to work! Been dying. Got the hydrangeas planted, as well as some hostas divided and moved.
81, sunny and 47% H.
Too hot here as well. Getting all my shade jobs done.
76 with 49% humidity - feels like "sunny" Florida.
In the 70s but less difficult to work than yesterday. trouble is that I have slowed down in weeding, not getting as much done. IB irises are starting to bloom.
High of 81! Too hot to plant...just kidding.....
72 sunny ......perfect day!!!
I did my shade jobs yesterday
The temp is still at 70...hard to believe!
73 here.. feels so nice!!!
63 outside, but much higher inside. AC is on for the first time.
Did some clean up on the deck as it was getting cooler, nice night
Mid 90's here today. Very hot and humid. Maybe some Tstorms tonight- they are about 100 miles away right now. Glad I have access to internet. They need the rain here, It appaently has been a very hot, dry spring. My grandybaby is just the cutest!!!!!!!!!!!
of course!!!
Where is here, Jan??
Nice. That's the twin towers ship.
nothing like subway stink
Subway stink is the worst!
One of these years I'd like to get in there for fleet week
I am in The Woodlands, Texas. It is about 20 miles north of Houston.
Nice last weekend. Late afternoon today we had rain and hail. Also tornado warnings. It passed us with no funnel clouds.Yeah!
Have a great trip, Jan. Hopefully, the weather will be nice.
Yes, been in many un-air conditioned subways in summer over the years. Seems all the people who didn't use deodorant came to my car.
Thanks, we plan on having a ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jan- My friend lives around there....Magnolia
Jumper, do you get tornado warnings a lot?
Glad that you are back on line, Jumper. also glad that you have a basement!
Good morning and hello (suddenly!)summer. Over the next several days we will only be a few degrees shy of our first heat wave, according to channel 7s Bill Ritter the happy weatherman. Let the direct sowing begin! Have a great day and stay cool! Last night sowed zucchini 'tromba d' albenga. Tonight, cucumber 'Diva' and Asian 'Tasty jade', both from Johnnys Seeds. And oh, yeah, nasturtium, and sunflower, and the scarlet runner beans...any of you Hudson Valley kids doing the same?
Weather here is going to be verry stormy. Got my RD planted ,hope the microbursts predicted doesnt yank the plants out of the containers.
62°, wind from the Southeast at 7mph, Rh 96%, thick fog, vis down to 200' in spots.
Going to be a partly cloudy day today with temps reaching 76° with increased humidity.
- down to 63° tonight.
65 going on 85. Humidity is up a bit. Yesterday was HOT! Had trouble digging.
I lived in Houston for a while (speaking of hot), just outside the loop and then in the U of H area. Had a friend out in the Woodlands.
I planted our summer school garden Tuesday. Put in watermelon, pumpkin and squash seeds. We'll be planting nasturtium, marigold, radish, beans, peas and cucumber seeds tonight. The tomatoes and peppers went in Tuesday as well. We're on kind of a rigid schedule.
57 and sunny......I'm OUT!
Will be a warm one today. Currently 67 with 83% H.
I knew this was going to happen...... 50° then shoot up to 90° I hate it when that happens
68° & sunny. I hope that it doesn't get too hot & spoil the iris blooms.
My plants were wilted last evening, they had plenty of water, I think it's because they weren't used to that much sun in one day! lol!!
Forecast is for the 80s next 7 days...what happened to sunny, breezy, & low 70s? Oh, well, heading to NH, so maybe it will be cooler.....have to plant today!
Yes - always seems to happen that way, doesn't it, Jen? After last week's cold, damp, miserable weather, we're right into the hot muggies. Where is real spring?!!!
75, with a very humid 73% H. Yuck.
