She's about to...61... Spring has sprung!!
Looking good, Patti. Do you have Stink Bugs? A bunch of my plants have white spots where they're sucked the life out of the leaves.
That's a pretty one, Neener. I don't have any MG's blooming yet but have planted seedlings from you, Debra, out at my mailbox, in hanging baskets and more in my "wild child garden". It has come back with a vengeance with beau coup volunteer Sunflowers, Zinnias, Cosmos, and more MG's from last year.
Gotta share a couple of Daylily blooms I took today.
Raspberry Pixie came from you, Susie.
oh those day lillies are so purty!
Joyce, Bonnie is selling from her home, and the lady down the street is selling her plants off Bonnies sign! LOL
competition in a town of maybe 150 people? lmao.
anyway, I am sending her a bunch of bare roots prennials so she can sell them and make some money, she said prennials are what the people buy...I just want to help her get going, and I still have some to send out to everyone I promised, but am sending a few at a time in bubble pouches.
Those brugs look so good, Pattie, and they look healthy to me, sometimes a lone water drop exposed to the sun full force will leave a white spot on any kind of leaf, so water in evenings if the sun is shining in the am on them directly. I have used Bayer three in one in all my pots and on the ground, but the bugs are still out there. Been spraying with the mix, minus the neem oil since it is so hot.
these are the only lillies I have blooming, and as soon as they are done, I am digging them up and moving them to the front..
Debra, there are so many different hybrid Daylilies, but I swear yours looks a lot like Stella d'Oro, a old-fashioned favorite. I have a couple planted out at our mailbox too and they're just starting to bloom.
Morning everyone!
Debra, love that coleus. they are so pretty!
I just potted up my brugs in miracle grow potting soil. Should I fertilize them too? I don't know about the stink bugs, but I suspect we do have them. We had them in Kansas just 75 miles north of where I live now, however, I haven't seen them. I usually water when I get home in the afternoon, although I know you really aren't suppose to water late due to fungus, etc., but it is the only time I have. It's another several hours until dark after I water. The brugs are still in the shade/doppled sun next to the house where I put them to adapt to their new home and the new weather. I may give the ones with the spots a shot of something, just in case it is critters.
I have daylilies about to bloom, but I think they are just the normal orange ones and yellow ones ... nothing as showy as you girls! ^_^
Need to read some more threads and get out and work before it gets to 98 today. HUGS
I use miracle grow to feed mine once week, and when they start blooming I feed them twice a week. I also double the recipe for the miracle grow fertilizer.
Thanks LK.
Has anyone see Michelle that was opening her own nursery? She may of spelled her name Mechelle. That was her DG name as well I believe. Does anyone know who I am talking about? I got some rooting hormone from her and split it with her and someone else. She's just been on my mind and thought I'd ask.
Crit, I don't recall seeing that name. I looked her up in the address exchange, and the last thread she started was last year.
Sorry Crit I don't remember her either but names are not my strong suit...along with many other things.
Debra, new home owners always go out and do something to the landscape, I guess to make it theirs. Go tell them wha a great privacy thing it is, that is if it is...rofl. When you see the landscape changing dramatically it is usually because someone new has moved in....otherwise we don't seem to make dramatic changes.
Heavens it is hot! I watered this morning and I think I was sweating as much as the hose was running......gonna be a scorcher.
Just got back from town. Had to get some more big clay pots. My car said it was 98*
hey everyone, just wanted to stop in and say hi. Left dg when we moved to Florida! I only had potted plants there. We are buying a property in West Virginia in the panhandle and it has three acres!!! yay!!! I will be lurking until we move!
Hey Louise you have been busy moving. Sure hope you have places for nice flowers when you get settled in?
should be moving in July....did not expect to move again, but this property is too good to pass up!
Lots of good deals on houses right now, hope you did not have a hard time getting loans from the bank, it can be quite difficult getting loans these days!
Hello everyone. Pretty blooms, especially Electric Orange Marmalade! Do hope I still have one. If so, it's not blooming yet. Do have several Dlilies blooming , and have 4 Angel Trumpets about to and 1 white and a pink blooming. Most of my Angels look bad because of spider mites...hate those things.
Also have lilies in orange, white, yellow & pink. Butterflies love the lilies.
