Good morning, another rain day, gardens are loving it! Frankie Flowers is doing news, says perfect tilme to plant, now he tells me...Does say chances of a sunny long weekend, all will love it.

Debbie you are in my thoughts this morning , know you'll soon be out the door and on your way to the hospital..on an up side, the PT might be such a hunk that you will want to do double appointments.

Susan, I imagine Bob is still in shock and wasn't sure what to do with himself yesterday. Just know you have a knack for resume writing and soon something will come up!

Mary, wouldnt you know the time that I'm hours away from you that you are away! Seeing as we are taking linda's vehicle now it means there is still a trip south left in my vehicle lol. Dh must not have been pleased.

Mary, the more that bio mom acts up in uncaring way the more that she'll see just how lucky she is to have you as mom!

Good Morning!

Betty please, please give my symphathy to Ann and family for their loss. I feel her pain and I will be sending a card for you to give to them. It brings back alot of emotion. I thank the dear Lord that he is not suffering anymore and has been called home.

I think of you all often and will eventually come on to talk longer.

Debbie I will be saying prayers for you today as you go through your surgery. Good luck and get well soon.

Susan, Hope your DH is doing ok, hate the way or idea of how he was let go. Just doesn't seem fair...But sounds like he has great experience from the job, so he will bring that to a new and better shipping/receiving position! Wishing him best of luck in his search.

Oh Mary, What a day!! So glad glad the Graduation was a success and the gathering after. Just amazes me, that all the hurt can sometimes just be left in the past. It's a wonderful way to move forward to a new beginnings...(hope that makes sense)

Well, i have a ton of running around to do today! Have to go pick up the shoes for Sabrina, then she is getting fitted this afternoon.
Have to make a few appointments, Monday is Senior cut day and i have been informed she will indeed be cutting, lol...Duh, I said i should MAKE her go just for all the days she already cut, got a wicked look for that one, hahaha...Then go to post office, then to Metro for silk floral..And at some point get outside and do a few things, at least it not going to rain, at least for today, yesterday did most of the work inside...
Alissa had Anthony's keys, She came over and placed them on the table...so when i came into the room, saw they were there and made a big deal about finding them right there on the table. lolol, whew what a relief, he thought they might have been left in Wisconsin...

Ok, I better get a move on, have to shag the kids awake in a bit, Late start date, so DH and I slept in a bit later too, now he went off to work so, Had a few minutes, to have a cup and find the new room!

Ooooh order a civil war pattern, love the design,don't know why I thought the blocks were larger but they are only 6" x 6" so thinking of enlarging or adding to the block to make the block I need be the required 12 1/2"
Sure hope I get to stop at a Joann's so I can see for Civil War materials

Weather was good rained in the evening so played movies in camper.
Garden is good. The ground hogs are eating well. My brussel sprouts are gone.

Good morning everyone!!!!

Dave's dad has dementia and shouldn't be going anywhere, ever. He was not planning on going and because Big Mouth Donna had a plane ticket for him he got on that emergency train and went out, I hope she sees that when Dave says, "Dad's not doing good and it's not a good idea for him to go" maybe next time she'll listen, but if there's ever a problem in the family you can bet a billion dollars she's the one who has started the problem. I guess Dave's brother Donnie's best friend for 20 someodd years, Samantha, went off at her for causing problems and talking about people behind their backs, I told Dave I wish I had her phone number, I'd call her and thank her for taking the words right out of my mouth!

I have no idea why dad wanted to go, Dave's parents have been divorced for almost 40 years and mom has been remarried for 35 of it, Dad's had 7 wives since his mom. I don't know what the difference is between Alzheimer's and Dementia, but Dave's dad definitely has one of those. His wife says he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's 10 years ago, but he knows where he's at, what day of the week it is, his work schedule, where he had been and who he had been with and even what was said, but cannot remember that he has luggage with him, what it looks like, where is money is, or things like that. When my grandmother, who had Alzheimer's, was at the point that she couldn't remember what she had with her or what it looked like, she also didn't know what day it was, where she was at, where she had been, and had to quit driving by then because she couldn't remember where she was going. Actually 10 years into the disease she was completely out of it and had forgotten how to walk, eat, who we were, and everything else. I wish Dad's wife was a better person and took care of him better, I'm scared to death that one day in the not so far away future we're going to get word that he's lost somewhere because he was going to work or coming home and forgot where he was going and got lost.

So I told my dad's girlfriend that I had to go pick up Dave's dad from the airport and everything's still an uproar and I just don't have the energy right now to deal with it. Her problems seem so minimal to me dealing with the loss of Dave's mom, even though Dave didn't go, I completely understand why.

LOL Betty! I'm just waiting to see if the rain is going to change it's timeline, it's done it 3 times since Sunday already. Even if it does rain, so what, it's just a little water, even though I know we're all sweet enough to melt! Dave's not happy with this rain coming in, the way it looks right now it's going to be raining on his 50th birthday and it NEVER rains on his birthday!

Oh Betty I've got the itchies too...... and I know it is black flies.Ugh!Need to get outside but the gardens are soaked and it is quite cold here. Rain and lots of it forecasted for the next 5 days. Even a glimmer of sun has me ruching outside so I won't miss out on it. It is so chilly I am wearing what I wear usually in late winter when I walk the dogs. Yes, gloves too!
Susan I am so sorry to hear about your DH's loss of work. Sure hope something pops up for him sooner rather than later. Is there a chance he might have to relocate?

Can you all smell the fresh rhubarb pie? Its on the table for your picking. I picked the rhubarb about 8 am this morning. This rain has the rhubarb going crazy!

Forgot to tell you DH finally called about MRI yesterday and was told he was still 2 months away from them calling him. I just about flipped but held my tongue, its his battle not mine. Although I sure would like to say I told you so to him when he wouldn't chase it down. So at least 8 more weeks of Mr Crankypants - whoooo I can hardly wait for that. In his defence I know he is in alot of pain and I will bite my tongue when he flies about something that really isn't important. Men can just not tolerate pain like a woman can.....

LOL Crissy my DH says the same thing - his birthday is May 14 and it NEVER rains on his birthday.

Dianne I can smell the pie. I keep looking at my rhubarb plants (planted 4 wks ago) willing them to grow.

Dianne, my mouth is watering..would so love a piece along with a scoop of ice cream..favorite!!!

Long wait for MRI isn't it...still can't believe it only took me weeks to get mine..should call Dr. to see about results of all the tests but am thinking best wait until my return on Wednesday..doubt anything is wrong now that I'm on pressure pills but should there be some news not so great, don't want to spoil my trip. Guess you were trying to tell DH to call for appointment early in the month didn't you..men just don't think it's important to get these things done..remember all the time I told Roger to go get checked out, nope, just the flu..well it wasn't..

Dianne, watching Frankie Flowers, think even he is disgusted at our weather pattern..did the same, out in the rain, came in and just could not warm up, but lordy, the gardens look wonderful..probably another month or so before the blooms are out, I can wait, will be well worth it!

Guess you aren't seeing many on the lake in this weather? Foxy Lady is still on my lawn, not quite the lawn ornament I wanted but there she sits!

Susan I hope Bob finds a job real fast! Dave's still out of work and no end in sight and his unemployment runs out in July, glad he likes gardening cause he's doing a bunch of it!

Crissy, just maybe he can sell his veggies, MIL and FIL did veggies/berries and pickling and they made quite a living in their retired years..difficult work but both enjoyed..

I'm also not sure of the difference between Alzheimer's and Dementia!

Laura, you should have rhubbarb enough for pies next year..the older gentleman that I get rhubbarb from, really for the leaves to make cement pavers, has rhubbarb field and quite high..imagine in the next few weeks if I need to be making leaves it would be the time to go get some, of course, always enjoying freezing and stewing the actual rhubarb.

Betty what day do you leave and which route will you be taking down?

We leave Thursday late afternoon, will cross over at Lewiston/Buffalo then head west to Cleveland..if we make it that far and spend the night then we have time Friday to play..As long as we're in Nashville early Saturday morning to spend all day and evening then we've accomplished our plan A, then Sunday morning off to Memphis for the day..

Judy - love your "New beginnings" idea. You are better than I at imagery but I'm thinking while I'm at the beach... walk out at dusk barefoot and just grab a ball of sand for every hurt I've felt from "them" and throw it out to sea... Hey LK - Something about the settings in FB... I read a post where you can set for higher security.. .it's "Https" or something like that. So I set it but you can't play scrabble in that mode.. so I disabled it... then I went a while without playing... but did play tonight.. so see if you can play because it is actually as of tonight "Your Turn" LOL... if you can't access... dmail me or check your security settings.... That is what you get when life gets in the way and you are behind in a swap..don't know why the potholder swap just didn't turn me on..did a couple of add in's bit guess who through 2 pot holders together at 4am..I'm not a night hawk anymore, function well early morning..tonight is a trip to funeral home so no choice but to get it done this morning!

Just done, red/white/ble swap (had most of it since last year) and the pot holder swap along with 12 quilt blocks have to be ready to take with me tomorrow so I can post from USA side..

Here at work, Paul in a terrific mood, told me not to book anything for him Wedn/Thurs of next week, looking for new accommodation, both in Barrie and closer to home AND is checking alternatives to telephone system we are presently using to see IF indeed we can move the lines to my house.

Need a morning nap, lol..worked full speed ahead this morning.

Tonight is Funeral home visitation, tomorrow morning funeral, I'll not go back to the house as I should put a few hours in before leaving on my trip..raining here, please ask for sunshine in your neck of the woods..
