I've found amethyst but never tourmaline, but then again im not dead yet either. ^_^

Tourmaline can be very expensive.......

I had one with a little pink panther in it...

I have a tourmaline ring I bought in Maine....it's red, though. Really like the watermelon ones....pink & green together....but too expensive for my blood! Hope my stepson doesn't spot the peacock....he already has a snow goose on one wall......

Don't know if it's because of all the rain/snow, but this is the most fragrant year in the garden in memory.

Yes, lots of scents right now....guys are mowing the lawn, so I get to smell the wonderful hay scent....also diesel fumes from the road project!

You'll be fine Celeste, Lindsey's mom actually told her she'd get raped and killed when they moved to NY, but it's actually pretty safe and she made it back home fine!

She worked in Times Square and often until midnight and took the subway home, walked a few blocks to their apartment that late.

To give you an idea of how country I really am....anything over 4 lanes of highway scares the bejeebers out of me. Full blown panic attack!!

I don't like driving in it either, especially when unfamiliar.

You've been to Maine Debi...we have 2 lanes of traffic going both ways...thats it until you reach Southern Maine...almost N.H.

make sure your friend drives before you get here... 80 will be scary for you then

I drove the kids to NY once, and they directed me, they'd say change lanes now, and I'd do it. Had to trust them it was too much to try to watch everything myself!

having someone to help watch for signs really helps

Tarsha will take over driving around New York COUNTRYSIDE...before the big city!

I would rather drive 95 bypassing NY then going to Miami Int. Airport. 6 lanes going in at 80 MPH... Said I would never do that again.
