Sevin kills them deader than a doornail

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i always have some ant hills in the yard - i nuke them

I think I got lucky in the green house. As I said I picked up the tray and ran. I then went back in and hosed them to the ground (what escaped). They tried to get back up the post and sevin's them. I went to the store and got 4 cans of the dust. Did all around the GH and the House as I sure dont want them in my house, well either house. Lets see.

Plus the yard, I have never seen so many.

Wha - how do you nuke em?

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

dust them liek you do - sometimes it takes a few applications - there is also a spray i will use sometimes that is instant dead ones for larger colonies

Neighbor up across the road said they are infested also. What gives - grrrrr

Now I am really not having a good day. I am ticked. As there was one in my kitchen!

here it is. still ticked

they are so gross.. gives me the creeps

Thomaston, CT

I'd rather have ants! Ants don't like Borax powder, but I don't think they make it anymore.....

Vampires scare me more than ticks.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

will have to remember that :::mental note::: go to Victor's house dressed up as a vampire for halloween

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee! I have so much garlic in me I would not even notice.

East Bridgewater, MA

Ant problem ?!?!

Simple solution:

At the supermarket, go to the aisle that has laundry detergent...next to the detergent, buy a box of BORAX, it's a useful cleaning agent, with many different uses.

Ants hate Borax, and will stay away from any area that has borax.

Since borax is useful in other applications, it is not a waste of money...read the box !!!

Victor, get your mind out of the gutter !.......................that's MY real estate !

I never knew there was a size N. It was alway a,b,c,d,e and I think f. They are making new bra sizes for N now. It was on GMA last week.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

N, for NOCKERS!!!

Her name is Hershey. That's just too easy. (And maybe she is as well.)

Oprah had a show on huge sized breasts a long time ago. Some of those women had 55 GG. Their shoulders and backs must ache.

and an indentation in their stomach!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

They rested on her knees. Gross.

My friend had the reduction surgery and lost an instant 15 pounds - that's like carrying around three five pound bags of sugar.

I would put the fat in my flat boney butt

Thomaston, CT

Wow....instant 15 pounds? Sounds good to me! Victor, that cannibal article was disgusting!!!!

Seems to be a banner year for my pieris in terms of fragrance. They are very variable from year to year. They have now been in bloom about six weeks and still going strong. Smell wonderful!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

that time of year again.. a woodpecker was just wrapping on my gutter.. scares the living stuff out of me

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee!

Better than my cedar shakes which they just love.....

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

They love my vinyl cedar shakes! Odd but they only peck on the northwest side of the house.

Thomaston, CT

That's exactly where they peck on mine.....very weird!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Away from the sun??

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

I'll try and take note of the time he pecks and the sunlight as well.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Funny, I just got 12 insect suet cakes delivered today for the woodpeckers. They like it better than the 'woodpecker/ nut or berry', suet they sell at HD.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

About a month or two ago, my birds stopped eating at the feeders... is that normal for springtime?

East Bridgewater, MA

They are probably eating insects.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Mine slowed down too, only the Cardinals come regularly like clockwork, I can set my watch to their feeding habits and be off by no more than 10 min.. Most are looking for a source of protein, especially for the babies..
