that's what happens in prison
Get better Frank!
Coffee Break #59
The Bluestone half price sale is on but not the entire catalogue
Had a hard time to sleep last night and it's not excitement from the upcoming trip. I heard a news report before bed and it just shook me to the very core. I had terrible dreams......
no missing child reported? Something is terribly, terribly wrong here!!!

just terrible
That is so sad
Awful.
Heartbreaking
On a lighter note, I welcome all your thoughts and prayers for me as my MIL just arrived for a multi-week stay. God help me.
WWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOO HHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOO... 1st hummingbird!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pixie, the photo of that little boy is haunting me! Hope they find info on that case fast! Victor, take your MIL on fun jaunts....physically exhausting ones....then everyone can get to bed early! No hummers here yet, but many warblers were calling in the woods when I walked the dogs today......
Great photo, WC! There was an article in yesterday's nature column that said scarlet tanagers can have orange feathers.....I'd just think it was an oriole.....
nice shot WC!!!!
Thanks, just got him 18 min ago, been hearing them all week, but haven't pinpointed them until now, they're just 25' from my computer room window at the top of a 20' maple.
great shot!
Very pretty. I never get them here. What food attracts them??
grape jelly & meal worms
Orange halves and lawn sprinklers on a hot summer day.
Nice WC
I was watching them at the golf course on Monday
What's their handicap, Deb?
How many birdies did they shoot?
No shooting deer while MIL is around I bet... (lol!!)
Have fun, Victor!!!
Great Oriole shot
Victor, one of them got an eagle!
I get orioles every year when the apple trees bloom....lots of bugs in them....& then when the choke cherries are ripe....
ROBINDOG mirrors my childhood experience...back in the 1960s, orioles came to our apple trees every May for about two weeks.
Then they would just disappear as quickly, probably for other insect locations.
Why I never believe anything.

It took the japanese authorities..."ONLY"...two months to acknowledge the sad reality of the situation.
For goodness sake, just "Tell the Truth from the Start."
"Oh, what a spider's web we weave,
when first we practice, to deceive."
It's always the same. Any crisis, tragedy, scandal, etc. You just have to ignore all the initial reports.
Hurry Allison on the hummingbird!
Beautiful Oriole WC, I've never seen on, they are on my life list to see one day.
So sad for that little boy...we need a licence to have a dog yet anyone can have a child...
So sorry Victor! LOL
I feel sorry for the people who were exposed......
Such bad news! Celeste, maybe the boy was from another town, or another state and that would explain the lack of a missing persons report. Doesn't bring the boy back, though... : (
WC, you have amazing bird shots.
My latest project has been a sewing one. I made a dress and jacket for a wedding I'm attending on Saturday. If I have time, I'll make a little handbag to go with the jacket. You can't see, but the jacket lining is a burnt orange color. I love teal and orange together.
Here's the dress...
Nice! Jacket reminds me of Sgt. Pepper!
wow fancy... I will take that dress with a little longer sleeve please!!!.. and of course a bigger size than yours.. LOL.. Harper has so much talent in a little package!!!
Orange and teal are the Miami Dolphin colors.
Harper that is sooo pretty!
dad is going home tomorrow... doctors said they were amazed how quickly he recovered and gave him props for the shape he is in.. now comes more stress for mom though
