Mary, I don't have any choice if I want to see a specialist. I am out in the middle od no where, and if I need any type of specialist, I have to drive for it! And I don't mind driving, if I can get good results, and relief.
Shirley, so glad to hear you had the freind from the hospital to help with the air matress. Hope thatis helping tubby get a bit more comfy. And I am really glad to hear about the chaplain coming over to help out with the family matters. Hopefully they will listen to him, and hear what he is saying.
Judy, I think we drink the same beer. When I am not having Bailey's or a margarita, I like to drink MGD, as that is the only beer that does not give me a headache the next morning. Oh, a nice cold beer is so good on a hot summer day!

I have to get my SIL to take the windchimes down for me before the come through the front window. Winds are supposed to get up to 70 mph between now and mid afternoon. NOT good.

If Betty had anything like we did last evening, no doubt both her and Dianne are without Power.

I just heard, the winds were in excess of 200 miles per hour!

No power outage, extreme high winds..this morning I walked the gardens, omg, lilac trees are starting to have leaves, such a brilliant green all over BUT by the time I was 1/4 of the way to work talk about rain and wind..building across the street has lost some of it's room but nothing to worry about..

Debbie, we'll be watching to see that all our friends post of their well-being..especially worried for those in the path of the storm..wow, unbelievable the devastation this April ..

We had no power at the house, no power means no hot water which means no shower which means no worky jerky! It came back on at 7:30 last night and I just wanted to watch Idol and some news! I feel so bad for the people in MS, AL, and GA! OMG!!!

Took me so long to post because our network's been down all morning. BLAH!

Shirley I am so glad you got help and what wonderful help you got! I know he can talk some sense into these family members, lots of hugs and prayers for you sweetie!

I told you about Monday's storms and the fact I didn't have power on Tuesday, but Tuesday's storms went just north of us and just south of us, we got a regular old thunderstorm at 10:30pm and that was it, thank God!!

I need to check in with the midsouth thread and make sure everyone is ok over there, so I'll be back!

Starting to have a panic attack..not seeing my bestest friends posting...hope you are ok..

Drats, Bernie did the brakes and the bearing on my vehicle, nope not the problem, so off to the dealership in the morning..guess who is not a happy camper..BUT..not the end of the world, some have far more problems than I!

I got your storms today betty but they have ended (I think) at least long enough for me to say we are okay in NH. Had pounding rain and wind but that's all.

Betty don't have a panic attack, there are still 25,000 in Arkansas alone with no power so I can just imagine how many are out in other states as well. No power means no internet means complete boredom and a state of loss LOL!!

I worked today, pretty tired but it was a good day. We had storms in our area too. Big wind and lightening, thunder and torrential downpours but I don't think any really serious damage. It got beautiful this afternoon.
We are keeping our GS for the weekend. I guess I should say that Ric is keeping our GS as I will be working most of it. Beside the boy we have his dog and bunny, too. LOL My son and DIL are going on a weekend retreat. They are scout leaders and it is a special training they are taking.

Yikes, i was glad to see you checked in Crissy, so glad the tornado missed you!

Didn't see you post again Betty, so thought maybe you lost power...

I am absolutely starving...been working the entire day and for got to eat!! Well, not true, I did have breakfast.

But how exciting to report got 6 blocks done and I have to say, i am really more than pleased how well they turned out!

Then it was Mom to the rescue...Dad told her if she cleaned her room, he would finally take her for her Driver's license.
So, she was searching high and low for her wallet...Started getting really upset, I finally said, maybe check your winter jackets, sure enough, found! Then when she returned with a valid DL, in the mail was her acceptance letter to the Community College!!
Well, she isn't to happy because she can not drive my car until she pulls her grades up.

I was also in search of some important documents DH was looking for, again, lol, Wife to the rescue, ROFLOL, I found them in the drawer of the Desk!! uhm, right where they are not suppose to be...So soon as he is done, will make him put them in the safe.

Now it's dad turn to come to rescue, We've sprung a leak under the kitchen sink!! Ackkk, so glad it wasn't the big mess it was!

Dianne/Debbie, did you hear they closed theLewiston Bridge the border and also the skyway/Hamilton for quite a few hours..

Listened about the many youth who were out on Lake Ontario, left 5 boats sranded, all kids accounted fr, some in hospita with frost bite..will be mega trouble there..cannot for the life of me understand why they were out with all the warnings of bad weather.

Bit of rumbling/blowing going on her..some flickering so will shut down for now..will be back to check in late...

Well I have awesome news!!! darling son got a phone call today !! he got the job!!!
BIG BIG THANKS TO Y'ALL FOR THE PRAYERS !!!! they will be calling him back to give him a time slot for orientation...more waiting :( but they said he has the job!!! hip hip hurray!!! I have not seen him so Happy in a very long time, he is trying to figure out a budget....to pay for his wisdom teeth to get pulled, to help pay house hold expenses---his cell phone, pay the car insurance on my car, that he drives......and save some money. !!! Planning is a very good thing !! YIPPEE !!! ^_^ ^_^ ^_^

IT IS WITH HEAVY HEART THAT I POST THIS MESSAGE, A TEAR AS WELL...

I JUST RECEIVED A CALL FROM SHIRLEY, OUR TUBBY IS NOW WITH THE LORD... HE PASSED ON THIS MORNING!

As you can well imagine, Shirley is hearbroken..she wanted you all to know that she will not be on for awhile but will visit when she can. Her girlfriend is with her now and family are on their way...

Tubby you will be missed ...

I have been away most of the day, and our dear Betty just phoned me with the news.

I think I am numb....as when I hung up, the tears started.

I am glad "our" Tubby that you so lovingly shared with us....is no longer in pain.

Now, those left behind will remember him with such love and bravery he had.....and be here for you to help heal.

I just know our gardens will be the most beautiful this year....as Tubby will be tending them from above.

Seedtosser, GS is 8 and lots of fun. They only live about 3 miles away and he is quite often at our house. We will play games, watch movies and I'm taking him to by a new book. He is a voracious reader.
Betty, We did have tornado touch down about an hours drive from us and another smaller one just about 15 minutes away. There is some damage but really nothing like what I am seeing on TV.
Shirley, My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Shirley, I am so very sorry. Tubby was well loved by many and we will miss him.

Left too early to post this morning, was up bright and early watching the Royal Wedding, enjoyable to see the young couple so in love, then it was off to drop my car off to the dealership..yikes, goodness knows how much that will cost, they couldn't believe that for a 3 year old vehicle I managed to put on 141,000 clicks..lol..sent an s.o.s. to the Lord, let's see what becomes of it..

Suzanne picked me up and here we is..coffee n hand eating a bagel and pondering on the day/weekend!

Hey Betty, that is a lot of miles on your car. When we traded in our truck last year for the Acadia, our truck was 5 years old, and it only had 71,000 miles.

Just goes to show you I'm a traveller..with price of gas we are thinking of taking my vehicle on Nashville/Memphis trip..that ought to put in quite a few more miles..better start to stay closer to home until I'm ready to purchase a new one..lol

I did not stay up for the Royal Wedding, nor did I wake up for the Royal Wedding. If I didn't have to work today I would have. I wanted to DVR it but we have too many other things being recorded in the middle of the night so it wouldn't fit. I'm sure there is video online everywhere. This is history in the making!!!
