I'm home from my running and will probably head out to the yard in a little while. Maybe plant my swan planter and put it on the pouch. Took Mom and Dad out to do their grocery shopping and pick up a few things, Stayed and had lunch it was a nice morning. Then off the the DMV where I met up with Ric. He got the bike all legal and I got my permit. Then Ric headed to my parents to mow their grass and I ran an errand with son Josh. So I'm just kicking back for a little.

Yes, Ric gave it to me as a Christmas present. It was primed white and I painted it myself.

I think I will put my excess pansies in it for now. With some of the vinca I keep for planters. I messed around with it quite a bit before I could decide what I wanted to do with it. I like the look but the satin spray I used to finish is pretty shiny. I will post a pic when I get it planted.

Will look adorable..when I was in Cincinnatti last year for a DG gathering at Joycet's she look us to the most amzaing private gardens...there I bought about a 2 1/2' rusted iron basket, was to late to plant last year,this year I have to figure out how to plant it..open bars so can't fill with shrubs/flowers etc. so it will take some thought..don't want to plant vines because it will hide it's beauty..

E-mailed Ann to say if she was in need of anything in town I'd pick it up for her..she replied with just a few lines..nurse comes in to sit with Mike allowing her to go out to get groceries and various other needs..can tell Ann is not doing well just how she's responding..

Debbie, dropped off my car for the bearings/brakes and got the use of a vehicle for tomorrow..torrential rains just stopped..got home and the ditch had been cleaned out where the water drain is, quite a job..all winter all debris is thrown in the ditches by kids getting treats at the store and cast away the containers..then comes spring and the rain washes in all down the hill to my ditch..

Next door neighbor saw that my entire front lawn was covered in water so came over to clean it..thanks to him I'll not have a besment flood..

They are calling for terrible storms later this evening, will go check the news..

Terese posted a tornado was touching down in Alabama as she was posting.

We have lost power 3 times. Right now we are "in the clear" for a couple hours....but you see another storm moving in for later tonight.

I had a procedure today, I had a lesion/freckle removed awhile ago and it came back as "suspcious" so they needed to take more. Well, it is on my foot, right where the skin is tight and needs to "flex". Don't want to whine, but dang it hurts bad! Two layers of stitches and a big compression bandage and ace bandage around that. Only two days wearing that...then just a gauze and smaller bandage until stitches come out next Wednesday.

Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers, stay safe....

Betty - I spoke to the Hot Tub co, and they will move the tub for the service fee of $75, and will only cost about $50 to fix the plumbing - likely come out Sun afternoon YAAAAAAAAAAY - I thought they'd have to "crane" the tub and that would cost about $1,000!!
What a relief that amount is! And the ground has thawed enough around the bottom of the tub they can move it away from the deck (it's beside the deck, not on it). double yaaaaaaaay!!
I so missed it when my knee was sprained...... and now I'll be able to use it again! pheewwwwwww! What a relief!

Heading out to Pisces Pet Emporium - co-worker is bringing me a Beta fish tomorrow and I need to get bowl, etc for it! ^_^

Oh Mary, I was telling the Derm Doc about the iodine and oil today, he and his nurse just shook their heads. OMG she said...why? We had beautiful malibu barbie tans!!! Yes, I go every six months also. This one he took off my foot is small as - o - that but it came back irrigular nevis....it was almost black. Anyway....I now have a 2.5 incision X a .8 incision with about 12 stitches under and more on the top. It is a "diamond" shape they remove...then stitch together. NOT happy.

Storm has passed, at least this round. Supposed to be just rain coming in now.

I don't know if I will be back or not. Having tea with Shane, really helps us sleep. And then might try and turn in. PT again tomorrow and some errands in the morning.

I had therapy today, but they took it really easy. They told me the first thing I need to do, is keep it on ice, take more motrin, and get the swelling down. That will make it easier to move! I also got a name for a hand specialist i n San Antonio. I need to call tomorrow, and see if I can get in for a 2nd opinion.

Yup Deb- you're right... "Malibu Tan Barbies !" Then tanning booths which now they know cause cancer. Hope your Derm Doctor is as HOT as your other Dr... I do have a lot of freckles... do you think he can get me in ?

Bev - that is so pretty.. I couldn't get the pic to blow up. I think about you every day as I check my daylily bulbs... I really do need ONE more daylily... if you could only pick ONE of yours... which would it be ? And where to order from ? When Mine finally bloom then maybe you can help me ID them?

LK - Hope that swelling comes down.. I know Birmingham got hit bad... worried.. ELF... plus .....have family there and clients... How far is San Antonio from you ?

It is 160 miles! About a 3 hour drive.

I will start this post and hope I can get it finished.. A dear friend came out this evening that I work with from the hospital and helped me place an air mattress under Tubby. He is so tiny and delicate. He is resting now. My dear friend called out chaplain from the hospital and talked to him and he is on his way out. He is hopefully going to get the siblings and MIL to not be here so much. I will have him talk to his girls also. They just act like nothing bad has been said and gone on, but the feeling isn't the same. I will try to forgive them and ease my heart of this pain. I just can't do it alone without getting nasty or in a heated argument. Tubby doesn't have very long as I see him deteriorate more each day. My girlfriend could see it also. My head pounds and I don't enjoy having any of them around. They think of themselves and what they want all the time. This chaplain is like an angel sent by God, any ways that is how I feel about him. I will let you know how things turn out.God bless you all for your love and support.

Mary, no, this one isn't as "HOT" as my shoulder doc.....he isn't bad, but he is just..well, hmmm... All business, and looks VERY young I know he is about 42...but he looks about 16. Will see if I can find a picture of him...just for your entertainment! LOL

(((Shirley))))) You did exactly what I would have done! Our Hospice Chaplain is the one that came out and helped me. THey stepped in and really took so much burden off my shoulders.

His family sure sounds very self-centered. Maybe they are really not facing reality.....not realizing it is a short time left....not months.

Lots and lots of hugs, you are doing it all right. Just make sure you rest when you can....make sure you do and say what you need to ...for you and Tubby.

Yes, he is cute...nice smile. He seems fun to work with from how I read his office staff. AND ...funny thing, found out he was a "resident" who did the flotation rounds when my daughter was up at Strong. We had both said before we looked familiar....now we wonder if he had an "oncology" rotation and met during that time (1994). He knew all the nurses we had, still had contact with a few. SMALL WORLD. Can you believe he has a 14 year old daughter? lol

Today, i worked in the Shrine again..Placed a Dresser in there to hold, office stuff and the new jacket and Company T's and hats! They were in a closet, thats sort of the Filing system, taking up a lot of room! Packed up all the stuff from the dresser, which some of was from like '03!! Yikes, see why he needs some serious help in organizing his stuff...

Well never got to sewing today, but got 3 blocks done yesterday...
