Best/Worse/What did I learn Today? Visit with friends..

LindaKay I see you are up early. I see you are on another forum, I have a guestion. Do you talk about just gardening and things like that? I haven't checked all the forums that Tubby has on his favorites list, but eventually I will. I think it's interesting all the different ones that his has, but don't understand all of them. I will chat later and thanks for the coffee as I have already drank one pot and will make another one soon. Tubby is awake, so need to see if he wants to get up soon. Have a nice day!

Shirley, I am in lots of threads, and if it is not a sewingnthread we talk about what ever comes up. Like this thread here, we talk about our families and all that is going on. Pop in and say hello on the sweet interruptions. We would be glad to have you there.
I use skype to talk to Dad on the computer. He loves to see who he is talking to. We talk at least once a week. He is doing good, and when it is not raining he likes to get outside in his scooter and go through the neighborhood.

Yes, I will drop in sometime on the other threads and thank you for sharing that we me. I have to go to town to work for a meeting I need to attend, either this AM or tomorrow afternoon. Tubby would rather I go this morning, so will do so. I will check back in later. Have a good day all!

Funny... no sleep for me last night... thumb began to throb... then tingling all over like being stabbed with little pins... I HAD to go in this morning... but did some work before boss got in then made sure she saw me.... rash all over... went to urgent care and ( I know ya'll have already prob diagnosed this) but allergic to current antibiotics. Got a cortizone shot and antihistamine sedative (will wait to take) and more meds... and appt to a hand specialist for this afternoon... (don't worry... just a precaution) then back home for me ! so here I am ! nice day to be home... although still itchy and throbbing....

Elf... had to laugh at myself... a "blonde" moment... I should have figured out "recent" not "resent" silly me ! You and Shirley doing a good job of talking me into it... But it is prob a 5 hour trip one way by myself... since I'm home I'll look that up now....

Same way I'd have taken it... but the "rest of the Story" which I didn't delve into.... but Shirley guessed it... was that DH and DSD sat out on the porch for hours night before hashing things out... I didn't say anything on here about it except.. that they were arguing and I was staying close to computer and out of the way ! Yes Betty - I certainly accepted her apologies and hope I was helpful and encouraging....

Betty ... Thank you for asking about the "Big Deal" .... it certainly would be Big if it happens but could take a week to 6 months... so well see... just glad to "get the ball rolling" . I presented a program where the TV Station partners with a company and they pick essays from 4th & 5th graders on Weather and Science. One Student / winner per month gets to shadow our Weather team and deliver a weather update. My client Loved it... just a matter of will the company she represents love it and do they have the $$. Its a neat program though...

I'll check back... Finger Doctor appt in 3 hours. Hope he's cute like Deb's Dr.'s... I really need to take a page from her book on that one....

Okay Mary & Debbie you are both too funny. I will say I'm sure he is cuter in scrubs, but he's one of those you could say "can eat crackers in my bed anytime" ROFLOL! Now Crissy one can make up a pain without having to go get hurt to see a good looking Dr.

Mary some day down the roads when things get normal I may decide to come to a round up, but there's no way I would go any place now. I appreciate the offer, and it's just a shame that we never did one while Tubby was in better health. He would have loved meeting the people and talking and exchanging plants and info.

I just came in to check on my man. I needed to freshen him up and so he is back in the recliner. I can't talk him into sitting on the porch with me so will go back out and clean some more. I just dumped one cart full of old weeds and my arms are sore. There's a strong wind out of the north, but none as bad it's been. They are predicting rain for tomorrow.

Well, I better get back to work. Break is over for me.

I'd say my doctor is a looker! He's been my doctor for almost 40 years, 2 months difference in age.. greying at the temples and tallas can be..makes me want to call and book an appointment..lol

Well, I have done it again.

I am so totally embarrased!

I think I told you I lost my contact last week. Well, after suffering for a week with a "spare" I decide I can't do this anymore.

So, I pick up the phone and call.

The call went something like this:

Hi, this is Debbie G....I have a slight problem. I lost one of my contact lenses and...I actually don't know if it is the left or the right. Is there a way Dr. B can see me tomorrow and figure out whats going on with my eyes...and order a new one.

Receptionist: Debbie, you have an appointment tomorrow at 11;00 already.

Me: Oh, I do. OMG..I am so embarrased. Wait. Um...lets try this again. HI This is Debbie...I am calling to confirm my appt. with Dr. B tomorrow at 11:00.....

We were both laughing so hard....I can just hear those girls. I won't live this one down tomorrow either.

SO, I have PT at 8:15.....and then the eye doc at 11:00. Going to be one of those days!

LOL, was waiting for you to tell me all this time you were wearing it!!! lol

I'm back again. Debbie that is too funny and I'm like Betty I thought for sure you were going to tell me it was up in the eye somewhere. Hopefully you will be as good as new tomorrow and like Betty said maybe you should pick up one of those little day planners you can keep in your purse. Then the next thing is you have to remember it's there and look at it. Had to come in and check on Tubby. He's awake and watching some TV. I am almost done with the two flower beds by the shop. I'll go back and work on taking the fence down across from the house. I'll work on the garden when he is not in bed so early as I put down around 2:30 today.

Deep breath....and blurting really fast....

I have a dayplanner in my purse....and two calendars hanging, one in kitchen and one next to desk here....and it wasn't written on any of them!!! I did find a appt. car in my day planner with the date and time. Well...I am half way there!

Going to take about 2 weeks to get the new contact they have to be made. BUT it will be in progress!

You could always hope they were the ones making the error Debbie..not an easy thing trying not to fall asleep,,Kyle dropped in for a half hour, watched a movie, interesting story line, man was born old and as years progressed he became young and died as a baby!

So now I've got almos 2 hours to keep myself awake and then a 45 minute ride back to Barrie!

Oh Betty, you watched Benjamin Buttons with Brad Pitt! Very good movie, and yes...sad. I haven't watched it...but my 3 girls have.

Betty, is there a hotel or such near the hospital you could just stay at for tonight and pack a bag for work? Maybe have Cathy come over and let the furries out? Don't like you driving back home so late....and so tired.

Debbie you are among friends so we really don't think anything of it, as I know I've been there myself and so has most people if they are honest about it. Just laugh it off and this way you don't have to worry about being told no.

Betty I hate to see you drive that late by yourself also, but I know you are a big girl. Please be careful and will talk to you in the AM.

I'm tired but yet I'm not, mind is thinking of too many things. I will go down shortly and go to bed and watch TV. Tubby really didn't go to sleep till now when I came in and told him I was in for the night. I had to remove a stinky dead critter from the yard and I still feel like I can smell it. I didn't even touch it but must be in the nostrils yet. I'll wash before I go to bed and pray that helps. If it doesn't I'll have to spray something nice and take a deep breath and hope that helps.

Mary, yes I definately need a personal assistant! You do know I have major issues with "The Rock" (Dwayne Johnson), Alan Jackson, and a few others that just drives my husband crazy. And, the stories about my DD & I going to see Toby Keith and Trace Atkins...well...they just aren't true. LOL

My Mom always told me....don't do any damage to look, and when you stop looking you might be dead so check your pulse!!

Well I have a big deep callus on the ball of my right foot behind the middle toes and it's quite painful and annoying, so if my callus remover pads don't work I'm going to go see my hot dr and see what he can do about it, it's right in the wrong spot.

Debbie I agree, your married not dead.

I didn't want to get up either, I could have slept another 2 hours at least. Oh well!

I'm going to make it a better day today than yesterday was!

I'm with Debbie, 7am is much too early to be up..so would have loved sleeping in this morning!

Wondered last night how people afford to go to the hospital for tests when they charge so much for parking..I wasn't there long and I think it was $12.00..yikes..most people don't get that much for an hour's wage!!!

Had left early and got to my floor, woman was waiting for her husband to come out, we chatted and it was my turn.

With not having a problem with being in small places/underground,closets/elevators etc. I did not feel I'd have a problem...hear horror stories about people having difficulties but I wouldn't be one of them, nope not me..

The young woman came out introduced herself, said she was the lady who called me and were glad they finally got a hold of me; I said I had been away and that I thought I'd not get in until June/July..she told me yes that's exactly when they are booking MRI's but the nurse who reviews all in incoming paperwork saw the doctor's concern and booked me in immediately...

So now I've picked zen music-relaxation to birds and waves..just know I'm going to fall asleep as I'm tired so piece of cake..


I'm told I can keep my velvet jacket on, she taped the zipper so there wouldn't be a problem, said it was cold in the room and didn't want me to have a chill..Lordy she was talking to me like I was 100 and fragile as can be..took my arm and led me to the MRI table. I've had a catscan and no problem so looked at the machine without concern..

No sooner got on the table she said let me put a warm blanket on you..the blanket was soooo hot, I was toasty as can be..sure I'm going to be nice and cozy, might even fall asleep..

Betty, Wow, how great your MRI got bumped up. How soon will you hear anything? I hope it's good news...Wowah, I sure hope the glasses are the culprit. Hmmm, maybe they can bump that appt. up too, oh maan, i remember getting used to my bi's, I was sick for weeks.

I sure have enjoyed seeing all the photos! Crissy, I love the new color, You sure are pretty, lol even before the coloring! And, you have a fantastic smile, lights up your whole face.

Oh I have been insanely busy here too. Every night, i've got to clean my bedroom from all the dust. But on a really good note, The floor & tiles are in and walls are up, The new beautiful vanity is in place. Today DH getting the tiles for the walls. And a Shelving unit is being built...All the electric has been hookup to a new box. Si i cleaned the laundry room from all the electrician junk and Plumbing mess, which escalated in power vaccing the rafters to rid the spider webs..Washed down the washer/dryer and decluttered what is suppose to be the folding table...On the outside, DH cleared the shed, making room for the Harley! Yay it's finally ready to be picked up...So since that was done, I moved all my garden stuff into the green house, for the minute...Cleared everything out from my little patio and the side of the shed, whew had to move all the stones again. ( i Forgot to tell jake to place them on the deck)...I am now ready to till and level. I also got started on power racking the back yard, the majority of it is done, now just have to do the little side section, which I am going to do today.
and laid out the rest of the crescent stone around the new bed, now that's finally complete.

I took some pictures of all the stuffs going on, but what else is new, Batteries need charging, so later will upload.

Well, I am either full of crud from all the dust, going on around here or I've caught Jakes cold...

Well, I've got to tell you, I am in a really bad mood today. So Most of the day will be out tearing something up, to rid myself of anger brewing...Can't say whats bothering me, but it ain't good.

I am back,

Ok, she had me all tucked in, sides tucked under me, right up to my neck..then the headset put on, still ok, then came a towel to cover my eyes and was slightly over my nose..hardly any breathing area left..now I was starting to feel like a rapped mummy..

Here comes the earphones, cramped on my ears and into head rest..yikes, not liking this and now comes the plastic shielf which is like a helmet covering..NOW I AM PANICKING BIG TIME...

NOT even in the MRI unit yet..omg..get me out of here..

So she encourages me to breathe deeply, give it a few seconds, no, I want out, trying to get off the table but she tells me how how I am, breathe deeply and wait a second.

Now what..

Told her I'd take off my jacket, no blanket, no cover over my eyes, I'd simply keep my eyes closed..ask her to tell me exactly what she'll be doing i.e. time wise and started to breathe...


Time to be put in the tube, too much restraint for me..kept telling myself to breath, listen to the birdies chirp, hear that water fall, deep breathing..ok got first photo done, 2nd one is now 3 1/2 minutes, breath, relax, you can do it Betty but now I know I'm starting to panic again..
kept trying to talk myself out of it, not an easy thing to do at al..now she tells me the next one is for 4 1/2 minutes...oh/oh...one doesn't realize just how long 4 1/2 minutes is...long/long/long time..and my bra eyehooks in the back were diffing into me, need to move, no can do...drats (said something worse than that to myself) finally she said one more, only 1 3/4 minutes and if all went ok I'd be out of there..that's good news, told me I'd be shaken up a bit so tried to focus on where the bumps and jives were coming from,wondering if the birdies were ok or if they fell in the water falls (cd relaxation sounds) and she says 'that's a wrap' and ask me if I wasn't happy getting out of there

Yikes!! That's horrible being wrapped up real tight like that, but all that warmth sounds wonderful, but of course it's 67* in my office right now.

Those rooms for the MRIs are kept very cold on person. Was surprised you did not have to take everything off that had wire in it. I sure did. My dentist was saying yesterday that there has been alot of dicussion about people who receive a great deal of radiation to carry a book listing what tests they have had and how much radiaition was used. He mentioned dentists are particularly interested in the idea.
Something funny did happy near the end of the procedure. Doc was able to save the crown that broke off and reuse it with a patch job but just right the very end he dropped it in my mouth. The crown rolled to the back of my tongue - Doc, is asst and myself all gasped. Doc was like stick out your tongue NOW!!! Maybe you had tobe there but it was funny!
Judy tell us what your tiles are like. I love tiles and concrete work. My DH teases me all that time that he is sure my ancestors were not Welsh as I am never happier than when I tile or lay cement for brick.Our house in TO I layed a curved hearth using reclaimed brick no less....beginner's luck I guess but it looked great to us.

DH came feeling pretty good from his Physio session this morning but man this afternoon if you didn't know him stay away. He is not fit for man nor beast! Poor guy this extreme pain has been going on for so long now and he really doesn't want to take heavy duty pain meds as they bung him up but at this point I think I am going to force the issue.Sun just came out so there's the solution for me - I am going to go outside and rake for a bit.

had to give $$$ for my May vacation, have to give $$ to Cathy for the work in the yard she did on the weekend..know she doesn't want any but I can't have her working like she did and not pay..then I ordered 4 new tires for the car - snow tires must come off and then the man I took the trailer to called and said he got it done earlier than anticipated and it's ready...$1,000...drats that's not good..lol
