Betty, Todd's 59 El camino is black with white down the side instead of red in the picture I posted. Yes it is a running car. He drives it to work on Friday afternoons! All the guys at work, love to see it too!

Holly Love that bench!! It would be pretty with a vine on it but it's also pretty without one, but the possibilities are endless!

LK Do they do that car show every year?? I would love to come to the next one if they do. I would have been way way camera happy and I can hear those dragsters in my mind. Love loud obnoxious things.

Well I guess we're going to have a staff meeting this morning, or something, no one has told me anything but they're talking about if someone will be able to get here in time, so I'm assuming.

Betty, I am fine. Just been VERY busy. Yesterday 3 doc appointments, two with Shane. He is home....still having rash/infection issues. On a new antibiotics.

Today I started physical therapy, so was out and finished some errands.

I will catch up more later. Shane is helping me with some cleaning/organizing so going to take advantage of that!

Crissy, Your hair looks great. I have an appt tomorrow to get mine cut and colored. Should have been done a few weeks ago but I decide to put the hair off for a few weeks so I could buy more plants last month. LOL

Well I have been In Court all day. How in the world I ended up wittnessing a Robbery in my little corner of the world I will never know. But it happened right outside my house!! So wasted the day in court. And the guy who robbed the house came up to me and said he was so sorry he scared me that night!! Wierd, wierd wierd. I just stood there at a loss. Turns out I know him too!! Oh what a mess and it is not over yet either, it has been postphoned until May 3rd. Sigh...
Crissy love the hair, you are sooo pretty. Betty please give Anne many huggs from me aqnd Mike too.

I've spit out my coffee Holly, isn't that the truth, personal things for me I let slide by because I want to purchase outdoor art/craft materials/ toys etc. Should designate 1 month where I go to a beauty salon and get the works..do you know I've never had a pedicure!!! White hair, so tempted to have some dark added..imagine that..some put highlights and I need to put low lilights (is that what they call the reverse)?

Linda Kay, went looking for photo's of the truck, will have to check at home, lost all photo's here at work and then again at the office a few months back..was into 2008 of Best Worse What did I learn and found a few photo's but not the truck one yet...

Shirley, going through photo's looking for the truck I found this handsome man working in a garden!!! yep, our "TUBBY"

Betty, the original issued could very well have been from stress....but now, no, it isn't stress. They took cultures of it this time so take 3 days to get results. They said it is a staph infection, and him shaving is making it worse so had to stop shaving for at least a week. He is in so much pain, I feel very bad for him.

I have to do the cleaning, and he is helping. This is because of his infection...it could be contagious, and we don't want to take any chances. SO cleaning all his bed linens, towels, etc and washing down surfaces.

Seeing I have "exercises" i have to do for PT....I am incorporating them in the work! haha No worries....won't do too much.

Lots of hugs and prayers for Ann & Mike.

Shirley, how are you and my Tubby doing? Maybe the pups will come in and cheer him up. I think he needs....lets see....banana pudding with vanilla wafers. Yep, that should do it!

Yesterday, we had windows open.....doors open, so nice. Today is low 30's and snow flurries! Seriously!

Also ran across this photo taken 2 years ago of Ann/Mike..you can see where the cancer was back then, in his arm, no rush by the doctors to have it looked after, no reason right, just a bit of a swelling? drats I'd be so mad!!! Was his 60th birthday party we had at his house..

Betty I donot know what is more colorful,, the bike or what you are wearing!! This is the first pic I have seen of you and you have no idea how surprized I was!!! I have always pictured you as a very tall, refined, stately, Woman, ya know kind of like a gentile southern matron, I am not explaining it very well. Ahhh, good reasoning for the cleaning Debbie..we had high winds and would you believe snow this morning..all clear right now, blue sky but cold temps..saying rain and perhaps snow tomorrow..

I went to the vision center today and they've tried to do some changes in the glasses..told me to give it one more week and then they'd make an appt. with the dr. to have my eyes retested.

Holly, not sure I posted my old flower potting bench, nothing like yours, I too might just have to get some lumber and try and make yours...

I am just sooo laughing Kris, you could not have described me in your thoughts any different than I could possibly be...TROUBLE is my middle name..you just made my day!

Debbie sorry to hear Shane isn't better, did they say what the rash was from or I suppose you'll know more when you get the results of the cultures. I hope this round of antibiotics help. I'm sure that Betty can be a little live-wire when she wants. I can see you all now.

My girlfriend came out this afternoon and got her hair cut. She stayed for quite awhile and visited. So I didn't get anything accomplished. That's okay as there is always tomorrow. We took Tubby out, but the wind was too strong so had to bring him in again. Hoping tomorrow is better. I have him all tucked into bed now and so in a while I'll go down stairs and watch TV for awhile.

You know I read through all the post, but I sure don't remember too much. So sorry if I missed something and didn't make a comment on it. You all have a great evening and will check back in the morning. Oh well I'm thinking of it I should tell you I spoke with Tubby's primary Dr. and told him that Tubby is refusing all treatment. He said he understood and wanted to know if there was anything I needed and if he should get ahold of Hospice. I told him not at the present time. I just wanted to know kinda what to expect so he told me and said if I need anything to call. He is so nice, I thank the dear Lord for that. I told Tubby I spoke with him today, and Tubby wanted to know what he said. I told him that he understands and if there's something we need to just call. I could tell he was relieved to hear that. So we will just take it one day at a time. Now, Good Night all and Sweet Dreams!

In fact, I love all the pics, old and new, that people are posting, cuz now I know what you do/don't look like now LOL Love the pic of you being a "motorcycle momma" LOL

Shirley - good that the Dr understands and Tubby is happy about that, cuz it's important that Tubby feels good about what's happening and his feelings are being considered.

Kris - I fell on Sat, on the front of my knee, and the Dr said (on Sunday when I went to the clinic) that I've sprained my knee. On the Plus side, I'm feeling ever so much better and walking without crutches, mostly. I'm not being foolish, honest I'm not. I'll see about going to physio cuz it's covered under our health plan AND I have a very touchy knee to begin with, so it Cain't Hoiyt!!

Betty - what were they thinking about, not looking at Mike's swollen arm seriously back 2 years ago!! I'd be livid if I were Ann!!!

We didn't win at bingo, boohoo, we may have missed numbers because we were having a heart to heart talk!

Shirley, Ann opened the card and read it to herself, closed it and put it close to her heart..she said this morning she went to her therapist, cried like she never cried before, drained when she left but said it was good getting everything out...she was saying the guys that mike worked with are coming to see him on Thursday and that Brock, his best friend said he would come in a few weeks, didn't want to overdo with visitors but Ann will call him and tell him perhaps he should come soon!

Shirley, perhaps Tubby is relieved that the time has come for him to say enough is enough and that you support him, hugs for you both!!

(((Shirley)))) ((((Tubby)))) My thoughts and prayers are so much with you. I think the hardest part was when my Mom knew "no more" could be done. And...the fact there was not much she had control over, it was a relief she had some control of choices in her final say and care. It is a great gift of love that you give that peace of mind to Tubby.
And seeing that picture of Tubby, sure made my day and evening brighter. We are all right here with you both.

Susan, glad that you are doing ok, maybe you should rely on crutches for a few more days...then off to physio you go! Hope someone else is doing the walking for you?

I'm in shock, as soon as I pressed 'send' a few minutes ago the telephone rang, it was the Barrie hospital saying that I could get my MRI tomorrow night at 10:30pm..imagine that..unbelievable!!!

YES!!!! Oh Betty...that was such a blessing. I have been praying for that

Debbie, just went to listen to my voice mail, with coming home Sunday night and taking painkillers and bed immediately and same last night I didn't check..her Sunday voice mail said it was on URGENT request..didn't realize I'd be doing the happy dance getting hospital appointment..lol

Holly - re: "Nice & Neat" that may be a contest we'll hold once everyone's garden gets up and going.... willl be the "Most Embarrassing" part of the yard/garden. I have a couple... LOL.... I call it "Sanford & Son"

Betty - I can't believe that (if Deb has her way) then Tubby will get a First pedicure before you will ! You get those toes into the beauty parlor! We'll go when you come visit me! I had a WWBD moment today. ("What would Betty Do")... was approached by a homeless man... wanted a dollar... we offered him a hamburger (it was at a McDonalds!) and the man said "No ... I have plenty of food" and showed us a bag he was carrying with crackers, etc. he kept rambling on and wouldn't leave.... so we finally left...but wasn't sure how I could have better handled that. I said "good afternoon" and "god Bless you" and he said... "you don't really mean that do you..."

Best: DSD spent some time today apologizing to me for her behaviour as of late. Not like her. She's growing up I hope !?
Worst: the homeless man incident....
Learned: I could have handled both the above better, I think....

I sat down a read a whole book today and now my eyes will not focus,, but it was just sooo good I got caught up in it and could not put it down. It was called Vannished by Karen Robards. A reall thriller twister. I read it front to back in 7 hours straight and am now going to bed to rest my poor eyes,,

Mary, I am one of those moms that...when a child starts apologizing like that I think two things. "What did you do?" And "What do you want?" Sure hate to think those things....but she suddenly has a consious. Sure hope its a new leaf turning over for you.

Regarding the $1 and the homeless man. I try and think of it this way, there are things they might need that money can't buy. I know sometimes a YMCA will let them come in and shower for $1 or so. A box of bandaides? Or...a box of wine. You just never know. I think you did what was right for that situation.

Regarding the peticure.....I have only ever had TWO in my life. The first was for my birthday two years ago....before I left with Betty. And the second was last year before my trip to Florida. Gosh, it felt so good.

Will finish up the cleaning tomorrow...but sure got a good headstart on it. His room is back together....and all clean. Tomorrow I will finish tackling the bathroom.

I am so excited to stay home tomorrow!!!

Betty...I am going to squeeze in that room...and will be right there with you during that MRI. Behave yourself!!! And let us know when you get done.

No worries about dredging up old memories. I am very good and relaxed now about talking about Mom and all that happened. AND...I know in my heart if I had to do any of it over...not much I would change with her care and all that I did. I am at peace with all of that part. Yes, I do miss her terribly...but thats just natural.

Thank you all very much for the well wishes, prayers and Hugs. They are greatly felt and appreciated. I've been up since 3, couldn't sleep anymore. Tubby is sleeping and the dogs are all in a past out as well. I spend too much time thinking, I just need to keep hands and mind busy right now.

Betty am so pleased to hear you are going to get the MRI today. I know you won't hear right away, but hopefully your Dr. will call with the news soon and it will be good. It would really be great if they could move the Doppler up also. I'm glad that Ann was able to come and you had a good visit and she got the card. It'll be nice that Mike's co=workers and his buddy are coming to see him. God Bless and keep them both in his arms.

Susan am glad to hear that you are able to move around without your crutches all the time. The main thing is so you don't over do and give it the time to rest and heal before you go and really start doing a bunch of stuff. A little physical therapy will probably help to strengthen it.


Mary if I were you, I'd just go to the RoundUp and have a good time and meet people. From the different things I have been trying to read on DG I don't think they set a minimum of what you have to bring, the idea is to meet people, visit and share what you do have. Go girl and just have a great time. If I could, I'd come get you and we would go together. I hope that the DD is turning a new leaf, maybe someone else brought it to her attention on how she has been behaving and made her see the light. Most of them do grow up eventually, it is just at a different rate for all. Saying prayers that all continues and everything will be all right.

Debbie just take it easy with all that cleaning and don't forget to rest. When my girlfriend was here yesterday, her and I sat outside for awhile. Yes, when you hear of someone that is going to pass it does bring back alot of memories. I try to dwell on the good things that happened and not any of the bad. My friend and I shared a bunch of those memories yesterday, it was good for both us. We shed a few tears and laughed and tried to figure some people out, but that was impossible, so we just moved on to happy times we had with the ones that we loved and still hold dear in our hearts. How did phys. therapy go for you? Did you have alot of discomfort afterwards?

Kris that would have been so wierd to have to run into that situation of knowing both the victum and the person who was doing it. Yes, I hope for his sake that he really does mean he is sorry, I guess he'd have to tell the victum that also and hopefully he will be able to turn his life around. The main thing is that no one got hurt in the robbery. Will be thinking of you and saying prayers that all turns out okay. Have a great time at the RU.

Okay Thunder, I went back and reread the post. I think the brain is half way functioning today so I got it. Funny how we all have those aches and pains that we learn to live with, I say it's God's way of letting you know you still living, of course once in awhile I have to remind Him that enough is enough and that I'm not laughing anymore. I just tell myself that there are millions out there that are so much worse off than I, with my aches and pains, chuckle, give thanks and go on.

Well, I'll go get me some coffee and lean back for awhile. I have some towels to fold and put the laundry away. I can do that without making a ton of noise. I'll check back in a little later.
