these virginia bluebells are about to expire, they are always a joy to see in the flower beds..
Brugmansia seedlings
I see you have iris under a tree. Maybe mine will do OK after I give them a little TLC. I think they have been left unattended for years!
I took tomorrow off work, maybe I can get a little flower work done. Take my brugs out of their styrofoam cups and put in a pot. I put my VFT outside today. It hasn't done anything since I bought it, and I don't water it with tap water. But it is just setting there. Maybe I used too big a pot to start it out in?????? I just don't have any energy or ambition.
Please put my husband and I in your prayers. BIG prayers, please. Thanks to everyone!
Hey Girls I am loving this, all the photo's everything looks great, Charlene, I love Iris, Debra you have been working hard Girl
I love the photo's I put some more Brugs in the ground yesterday, I also planted my Plumeria's
Crit, I will put your Husband in my prayers, I hope everything gets better for you, soon
Elizabeth
Wow, everyone has been so busy( including me). Your plants and yards are looking great,Ladies! I have been out planting and moving things around. I have put any of the brugs in the ground yet, but most are out side still in their big pots, and up close to the house. I'm still working on a plan to plant most of them up close to the house, where the watering and fertilizing will be easier.
Retta, I finally have your box packed and ready to mail out in the morning. Sorry it has taken me so long, but I think you will be happy. I am sending you both rooted and unrooted cuttings. Would you be interested in a small desert rose(adenium)?
I love those iris , Charleen. I have a intermediate dark purple on, that is gonna pop any day. It is a re-bloomer that blooms in the fall too.I'll take a pic when it blooms.
Debra, you weigela is looking great.Your are ahead of mine.Mine have leafed out, but I haven't noticed any blooms coming on, yet. I love weigela, they take care of themselves and once mature, they are just cover in blooms that the hummers love.
Here a pic of one of the flowering crabapple trees blooming right now.

Good afternoon Everyone
Dee, that tree is a beauty, I haven't got all my Brugs planted yet, but they're almost all out of the basement. I think I will save some to plant at the other House, the closing is the end of the month, so maybe all the work will be done by September, I like the fact that it's on a half acre
Retta, I will get your box ready to mail out within the next 3 weeks, I want to make sure it gets there safely, it's rainey here also, from the looks of the forecast Thursday is the only day without rain, but the Brugs are loving it, have a great day
Elizabeth
Crit, re-blooming iris come in all different colors.Just do a google search on re-blooming iris and I'm sure you will find plenty.
Retta, I have read about the tomato tree.I hope you will post pics, as it grows.
Thanks, Elizabeth for the compliments on the crabapple tree.Ther are 4 big flowering crabs here, and another darker one is almost picture ready. As you know, I can't take credit for them, but I sure do love them! I'm just soo thankful, that the lady that used to live here, was an avid gardener.I'm doing my best to bring her yard back and make her proud.. I know you are getting excited your new place. Please post pics, when you can!
We had horrible storms last night, here in Indiana. We didn't have any damage, but it hit hard all around us..lots of trees down.My son in law's grandmother's trailer was totaled, when 2 big trees fell on it.She is 84 years old and was inside, but wasn't physically injured at all. She was very, very lucky, but I still worry about her, because of the mental anguish. She is just the sweetest lady!

it's wonderful that your SIL's grandmother is alright, Maria woke me & her Grandpa up at 1:am, the sirens were going off
she was so afraid, so we watched the news until it passed with her, I will the love the photo's, that's one of my favorite trees,Girl you wouldn't believe my Booth now, almost all the things I posted a Pic of has been sold, if this keeps up I'll have to go to some auctions, the other day I checked the book just to see what had sold, I was amazed how much did sell, that's that much I don't have to move, at the closing I'll take Pic's plenty of them, so you'll get to see how much yard there is
Charlene, your helpers are just Beautiful, I wish we could have those but not in town, I go to the fair every year just so I can see those little guy's, your Brug beds looks really nice, you have some nice size one's, I know your's will Bloom so much sooner than mine will, all this week they are predicting rain, the only decent day will be tommorrow, then it's back to rain
if it keeps up there will be flooding everywhere, thank goodness it's dry right now
Elizabeth
everything looks so good.. it is no rain here, everything looks like it is fried so far.. shoulda stuck with my thought on keeping all inisde i guess..
I wish I could have poulry, i sigh and beg whenever we go to the Atwoods here, they have so many chicks and ducklings.
I miss the country.
Dee, I am looking forward to seeing your gardens, too, as well as Elizabeths and charleens. Reta, soon we will be all happy..
Haven't moved my brugs outside yet, going to do it this weekend, I HOPE. Might as well water them in the yard as in the house.
Abigail's husband's name is Jake. He is a handsome fella and such a grand pair except when I'm gardening. ☺ finally got mine moved out and allergies kicked in and was worthless for rest of day.
Going to cut back necxt year I think. but have several that has come back from rootstock and overwintering. How great is that???
Debra, that sure is a pretty flower, I would send you some of our rain if I could, today is the only day that we're not suppose to have rain, so I guess I will mow the grass this evening
Charlene, I hope you get better soon, allergies can be awful, it is great that you had some come back from the rootstock
you did a good job with your Brugs
Retta, you'll be amazed how fast they grow when you get them in the ground
I'll check back in later today, I am going to enjoy this sunshine while it's here
Elizabeth

put the plants back out on the porch yesterday.
here is a few pics,
this one is (i have no idea)can you tell me what it is?
Elizabeth, I'm glad your booth is doing so good! Speaking of auctions, I love, love, love them, but it's hard to get a bargain at them anymore. I know exactly how your grand daughter felt. When the sirens go off, I freak out..I grab hubby and the dogs and head for the basement!
Elizabeth, have you walked the yard at your new place, lately, to see whats coming on? Let me know when you get settled in and I will send you a box of goodies for your new yard, if you can use them.
Debra, beautiful azalea! I still don't have any brugs in the ground.I'm planning on working on them this week-end.
Charleen, You are so lucky to live where you can leave brugs in the ground year round, if ya want to. I am cutting back on brugs this year, but I do love them!
Here's a pic of the Onondaga viburnum, in my back yard. It is loaded with flower buds, this year...gonna be lots of berries for the birds, this fall.Debra, this is the one that I told you that I could dig a start of for you. The flowers haven't opened yet, but I think it is a beautiful bush.
Dee
Retta we were posting at the same time..lol..Your first pic looks like oriental lilies, to me. I love hyacinths. They smell soooooo good, don't they?
I forgot to tell you...I sent your plants in one of the PO's triangle tubes and they are taped to the box(over the baggies), so you will have to open it along the side seam...lol.The desert roses are small(I grew them from seed this past winter) but they are growing at a decent rate.
Dee
yes charleen he does, same markings but jake has more hair and bigger.lol
dee,the package arrived just a few min.ago and i have the cuttings in h20.
will get the rooted ones planted in containers after i have my dinner.
thank you
retta
Retta, Jake is soo cute.Is he part snauzer(or however ya spell that..lol)?The viburnum is about 9 1/2 foot tall.On-line it says they can get 12-15 ft and just as wide. But, the people who lived here before us must have kept the width pruned, because mine is not nearly that wide.Glad you got the box ok.. did the desert roses survive the trip?
Charleen, that Kaluha, is one cute pup!
Dee
He is a schauzer wa, I'm kidding. I think Jake is adorable.
How Handsome. Look how he is growing!! Isn't that great????
Charlene
that fellow sure is growing, he's something, he has his on ideas on how things should be done, if his grandpa brings him down stairs, he's mad for about 45 minutes, it's my job to get him & feed him, if I do it then he's happy he's not my baby
I am his person, Thank you for the compliment
Elizabeth
Elizabeth, I do believe that youngun has grown a foot since last summer. He is getting so big. What a cutie!
That azalea is a beauty too.
Dee
dee,my jake is a mixture of mini pincher, poodle, terrior.and boy at times he is a terror.lol
i just love the prettiest flowers, wish i could be near mine,.whats the saying (if wishes were pennys,i would be rich).
oh yes dee the plants arrived in pretty good shape, one little branch was broken and i just put it in water.
they are all planted now, even the cuttings.but not outside.the cuttings are in kichen window, and the rooted ones are in the kitchen for now under lights.when it stops raining,in the ground they go pots and all.
that is a big bush.
retta
