Best/Worse and What did I learn today-visit with friends!

Well, I ended up having to get help with fixing the computer and hopefully it is fixed. The guy said he found 16 viruses, makes you wonder about all the anti-virus portection we are suppose to have. Oh well, I let them know if anything else pops up.

That trip you gals are taking sounds like so much fun, have a drink for me while you are down there. I figure someday I may be able to go on one, but I can't imagine where. Oh well, that's only a dream and I am not going to waste my time thinking about it.

Debbie how did the dentist go today? Tubby had the most gentle hygenist for cleaning his teeth when he could have it done. Unfortunately they aren't all like that. Hope it wasn't too bad.

Elf what did you find out at the Dr.'s today. I sure hope he was able to help you dear.

Crissy I had tried everything you could imagine to try to fix computer problem myself, but DARN! I guess I'm not good at everything. LOL!

Dianne we are having corn beef and cabbage also. I don't cook the cabbage or potatoes with the corn beef, I don't want all those seeds from the spices in it. I know I'm crazy. I hope Tubby will eat a little when it's done.

Betty I'm so glad to hear that you got off early today. It's about time, you deserve it and more. You can tell Paul I said so. Hope you enjoyed your day.

Okay that's enough for now, I really am chatting about nothing, but it feels good to be able to use the computer again.

Brrrr temperature dropping, either that or this morning I turned down the heat, better go check things out.

Drove to Darlene and Mike's right after work and had a lovely visit..Darlene liked her birdhouse..I took a photo but it does not do it justice, took all Mike had to carry it in the house..lol

Shaking my head here, Darlene and Mike paid for everything when Darlene and I went to Buffalo, more than anyone should do for someones birthday right? ok, I'm getting ready to leave and I get this big heavy box with a card that says 'just because'...guess she and Mike when visiting aren't impressed with my knives..here's a very good set of Cuisinart cutting knives..I'm just too spoilt...then Mike had a few other goodies for me..I went to deliver a gift and came home with more than I went with..

Ooops freezing, going upstairs and having a bath and will be back to chat for a few minutes

I had all but shut the furnace off, no wonder it was cold when I got home....

Holly, if you need a foundation it must be a good size...I so eve those who have a gh ..guess because the back deck is enclosed I could try and start some seeds...wishing you luck with getting it put together..my brother Bernie built a wonderful one for hijs wife, tried to convince him his sister needed one but so far it!s gone on deaf ears..lol

Shirley, worked my regular schedule today, normally we get off at 3 on Fridays but tomorrow I'll get off at 1...jhoping my glasses will be in tomorrow rather than Monday so I can pop over without the Friday traffic rush!

Not huge but a nice size 10 X 12 Harbor Freight. We got an excellent deal on it.

Betty my mistake, I thought it was today, but that's okay have a great day tomorrow and I hope the SUN shines for you. Tubby has made some beautiful birdhouses simular to that one. It's beautiful. I'm sure it did weigh a ton. I'm sure they'll enjoy it and you'll enjoy that knife set. What's the coin on the outside of box for? Just noisy.

Holly the green house will be so nice, I see one each time I drive to Fremont and always think about building one. Tubby and I use to talk about it, but I would rather have a hotbed by the building and start my tomatoes and stuff in there. My Mom had one she made along the south side of the garage. Good luck with it as I know you'll enjoy.

Laura is probably sitting by the fire and looking at the stars. Wish on one for us.

My last two days have stunk.

Yesterday, DH went to the eye doctor, and he has a puckered macula. Which means, another I surgery. While he was at his doctor.....I went to my doctor for my shoulder. General doc said it is a mess. Now I have to see a specialist for my shoulder. Appt. is Tuesday, and they are already talking arthoscopic surgery. Grrrrr! And then today at the dentist....I had the hygineist from haddies.....but no cavities. HOWEVER, He said I need surgery to have extra bone along the lower jaw removed as it is going to cause major trouble!!! What the heck.

On a "positive" note, we went to Shanes soccer game.....they lost 5 to 17! HOWEVER, we picked up oldest daughter....whos hubby is still in Georgia. We all went to eat, and had a VERY good time. DS was quite the entertainment. It is good to still laugh with all the craziness going on.

I think I am turning in early. LONG day, and hopefully I don't have to go anywhere tomorrrow.

Well the shot did not work, It still hurts. I am waiting to go to the RA doc brfore I try anything else,,,,sigh
Doc says I reacted to my meds,,humf,,been taking the same meds for months why react only 2 times weeks apart???? Then says well did you take some benadryll? I said yes but only after three hours of agony. She said well next time take it as soon as it starts and laughed. I AM PISSED now. Looking for a new Doc.

Anyway I am taking my grumpy self to bed before I use BAD words here.

Debbie good luck with the shoulder. I had surgery to repair a torn Rotator Cuff. Surgery was pretty easy but the PT after was pretty hard and long but I have full use of the shoulder and it is as good as new. My arm wasn't good for much for months and the PT just plain wore me out. Definitely worth it in the end.

Good Morning All!

I'm sitting here quitely while Tubby is still sleeping. Just a min. got to get a cup of coffee so I can keep typing. The traffic is really moving down the highway. I can see it from the kitchen window. I'll get ready for work soon. I'm hoping that Tubby will go to dialysis today, but one doesn't know. He actually has done pretty good this week, some of his onoariness has come out.

It's only to get around mid 50's today with a chance of rain tonight and tomorrow. It'll be nice to get everything washed off, it just seems to happen when I finally get the house cleaned and floors look half way decent. Oh well, gives me something else to do right! LOL!

Debbie sorry to hear about all your surgeries you are gonna need. I had to have my rotor cuff repaired. It's not as good as before, but I'm still able to do alot, I just have a hard time holding anything above my head. I seem to have a catch so I have to get it just right. That was my right and I'm right handed so use it the most. My left isn't the best, but I doubt I will have surgery and with no insurance until I can go back to full time I'll make due. Glad you had a good time going out to eat, it always helps to be able to brighten the day. Sorry to hear that Shane's team lost. It's good that he could keep happy and enjoy the evening with you all instead of being upset.


Kris sorry to hear your Doc. say that. I'd probably want to ring his neck. So will you still have to take that med or try something different? We wish you the best so let us know how you are doing. Okay? Hopefully you will get better care with the RA Doc. and the meds won't bother you.

There's not much going on here right now so will sit back and enjoy my coffee and think about things that need to be done and maybe make a list. Oh ya, I found the ATV key as it was in the machine. I got it up and running so that will be nice. I better put the new license plates on the vehicles today. You know there was something else I wanted to say, I thought of it last night but now it is gone. It may fly back by one of these days and I'll remember then. LOL

Had a holder similar to this one but knives nowhere near this set, still didn't want to throw set away so will drop it off at value village this morning!

Holly, that is a good size, the flyer I saw was from Harbour Freight but they didn't have any in stock the time I went nor did they have the pond kit that was on the flyer..when I asked they said not all stores offer same product and I found that odd..will try again next trip over...it will be quite an endeavor to put it together won't it? Hope hubby has a lot of..glad the operation resulted in your now feeling no pain!

Debbie/ Debbie where does it end for you? I'm at a loss for words my friend,sending heart felt hugs and prayers! When will Paul go for his operation and will he have to be off for any amount of time? You haven't mentioned shoulder pain??? Could that have caused some of the headaches? Glad you enjoyed a bit of laughter while out with the family..much needed I'm sure?

Kris, maybe combination of meds and/or changes in your body chemistry may have brought this on..glad you are seeking 2nd opinion..hope you had a restful night.

Most mornings Laura is up before me with the coffee but this morning she's either snuggle in that new camper or outside making us the best breakfast over a campfire, can't you just taste it?

Well, going to get ready for work, short day if I do leave early lol and I want to go looking for my gas container..if weather is as they call for this weekend might get outside and burn..see that for now the entire front yard has no snow..yippee

Glad you found the atv key and its running, will be a big help with cleaning the yard..keep saying i want to purchase a riding lawnmower with a little trailer but never seem to save $$$ for it..must be a great help..glad tubby is feeling a bit better today but a long day ahead of him will surely tire him out. Yikes, terrible when you need surgery but can't get it due to lack of insurance. Feel bad for you all!

On the run

Betty it's okay that I don't have ins. as I just have to watch my peas and ques and be senseable about things. I can have labs done at the hospital for about $30 when I need it and will just have to plan ahead for Dr.'s visits to get meds I need till I loose enough weight to get off BP meds. I've done it before and do it again.

Tubby said he won't go to dialysis and I explained why he needs to go, but the still said no. He said he'd have some breakfast when I get back home. He did eat some corn beef and cabbage last night. There is nothing Irish about either of us, but we both like that dish.

Home from work and Tubby is chilly and taking a nap. I will go and get started on some chores in the house. It is sort of chilly outside right now and did try to rain earlier. Oh well, all the dogs are in now taking a nap with Tubby. Holly you make me jealous. I guess work outside will start early enough. I'll try to finish up in the house before I start out there.

Looks sunny outside but lordy it's cold so didn't work outside but did stop off and bought myself a bike and even went for a ride!

Now I will vacuum, wash the floors, have a bath and once comfy in my mighty I'll relax for the evening...Lenny and Suzanne just called and wanted me to go out for supper and to a movie in orillia but I passed, couch looks more appealing!

Bev, sorry you can't get out to hoe, makes for a miserable day to have to sit inside after a long winter of being cooped up...maybe tomorrow!

This going to be our rainy season. One day good and four bad but that is the way of it all. Am feeling ok. Doc took me off my Plavix the blood thinner because am bruising so easy. Now am just on baby aspirin again.

Well I have a new flower bed. The GH is going in an area of our Veggie Garden, We don't plant the whole thing and he dug out quite a bit of dirt for the foundation. It's good dirt and needed to go some where. I have been wanting to raise up part of the yard for an expanded bed. I already have a small bed and a couple of shrubs in the area so I just laid down some heavy card board over the grass and had him dump some of the dirt there. We are both beat and that bath and jammies sounds really good right now.

Think we're all in the same frame of mind, an early to bed Friday night!
What ever happened to looking forward to Friday so we could be out on the town??

Probably not for a couple of weeks, Now that the footprint is dug out we (that's Ric) will have to get some stone as a base and then the concrete poured. It will take some $$ so I will probably wait till the 1st of the Month. This month was pretty expensive for us 3 Birthdays, 3 Flower Shows and quite a few plants bought. I have pretty much run out of my extra $$ for this month. Here is a pic of where the GH will go. The Veggie garden is pretty messy right now. There is a fenced yard to the right for the dog and a flower bed to the left with the Veggie garden area between. That is the side of the house and one of these days a small formal garden will be in the grassy area between the house and Veggie garden.

Yes we have an awning out the back door but am through potting plants or planting seeds. I have to cut down. We have a dog pen remember Blue? I had to have him put down at the beginning of winter and it just made me sick. I don't want any more dogs.

Wow Holly you sure did accomplish much today, can understand the $$$ bit, some months are a drain on resources...you will be one lucky lady, just think of the hours you'll spend playing in it.

Hi all, just checking in, My foot seems a little better today, not sure if it was the shot or just a good day so we will see. We are moving the lotus pond to right in front of the house. So it is a great big mess in the yard now. Sure wish I had the money to hire someone to do the work. It is more than the three of us can handle. Me with bum foot and RA and DH with bad back, and DB with bad hip. We donot make one whole person between all of us,,,,sigh.

I have asked for Goober and Gryphon to come over in the morning. Maybe they can get some work done here.

Morning all, hope you all enjoyed a good night sleep, lordy I slept in till 7am so that is a plus!

Sitting with coffee in hand watching the sun typist can see it's been another cold night because there is a bit of frost on the car, kitties are at the window watching from living room window the squirrels who are coming in search of food, happy that spring is almost upon us, so playful. I imagine that shortly children will be on the street riding bikes, roller skating and playing road hockey...yesterday I was amazed at how many new mothers are in the community, prams up and down the street, as week, lot of new puppies...just amazed with winter almost behind us how the world seems to come alive, a new season in our lives.

Along with all that is fun comes the "yuk"...lol. So much to clean..am hoping to take baby steps today and tomorrow and at least pick up and burn what I can..leaves will have to wait until they dry

Am hoping to take a bike ride, perhaps a coffee to Ann's

So that's my day, what do you all have planned

Week end of Birthday parties. My almost Granddaughter Marissia's Birthday party is today and my Granddaughter Lily's party is tomorrow. So I will be spending both days with family and friends. Have to go shopping soon as I have left the present buying for the last minute.

Have to take the kitten Axl to the vet, I think he has a UTI infection or something definately going on. Just don't need this right now, but sure hope he is Ok.

Shane has soccer this after also, then work, so going to be lots of running again.

Sun is so bright here although cold, did all my vacuuming (animal hair) washed floors and now spritzing shine cleaner, did the dusting and I figure by the time I do all the mirrors on closet doors it should have warmed up enough to work outside!

Holly, have fun at the parties..hope weather co operates, will be a fun day....do you know what you want to buy or will it be a surprise for u as well..

Good Morning All!

It's to get up to 58* today so see what this afternoon brings. I need to run into town and get a few things and I may take truck in to get new battery for it. Pepsi on sale so that's a must. I just finished makeing breakfast and Tubby eating fried egg and toast. That's good. He has a fairly good week, but won't let me paint those toe nails yet. LOL I'm gonna do a few chores before I go to town.

Betty hope you get something done outside, but do take it slow. It's hard not to get carried away once a person gets started. I have a bike, but haven't ridden in years and riding on gravel isn't the most fun. It is safely hanging up in the shop. Maybe some day!

Holly that will be so nice when you get the GH up. That concrete they don't give away. I am thinking of pouring a pad by the ramp area so I don't have to fight the wet ground when I get Tubby in wheelchair. We'll see what happens. If I do though I think I'll just rent this small mixer and do it myself since it won't require a big cement truck to come out.

Debbie sorry to hear you are having snow, hopefully it won't amount to much. Is Shane's soccer practice or a game? The youngest GD is Wis. plays soccer and loves it. We don't have any school teams, but they have other teams. Be careful with all that running around you have to do.

Shirley, the soccer is a game this time. It is indoor soccer this time of year in a big arena. I actually chose to stay home, as I tend to embarrase the boy. It is on artifical turf....and it just chews his legs up big time when he falls. Now, this probably sounds horrible...but if my girls get hurt, I can handle it, be there for stitches and the works. But if my son gets hurt....I tend to get very upset.

AND, we just got back from the Vet. Axl has a nasty nasty urinary tract infection. He got a shot for the pain, and some antibiotics. Doc said he doesn't usually give the pain meds injection...but can tell the little guy is VERY uncomfortable. Even DH went to the vets with us, worried about "his" baby.

I haven't had breakfast yet....and its almost 11:30 and been up since 7:00. So going to go grab a snack and contemplate what I am going to do today!

I decided to stay home from the soccer game because POOR Axl needed me. Well, he is sleeping ....and guess what? Shane has made TWO goals! I have never seen him make a goal in his entire soccer "career" from Kindergarden to Senior year!

They are still loosing, but came from behind of 10 to 3....now is 10 to 7 with 5 minutes left. LOL

Sitting here Drabble cheering Shane on, go Shane go, go Shane go!!! Did we win? Well, pretty well all the branches and tree limbs have been picked up and burnt, saving the last pile for tonight when the wind dies down..did an inventory and think all my shrubs/trees have made it through the winter..with no foliage and groud plants I can see a few areas that I can fill with more shrubs...need a few lilac trees as well...

So now I'm chilled, smell like a b.b.q.'d Betty and am ready for hot chocolate and a sandwich...might work my way downstairs and clean dust from family room furniture, tidy up the craft room and decide what I can get into....wouldn't you know,in my haste leaving yesterday I left my bag with the pattern packets for my projects..photo copied them so I could have them ready to mail toThunder and ledt them at work...am sure I can entertain myself without them..

So Debbie, what did you decide to do today? Lol at your comment about Shane and being hurt, maybe it's because boys try to hide their pain so you worry that they are doing so while girls you know right off theynare hurt..they tell you!

Shirley, our trails are all paved so nice riding..think I've done enough manual labor today so will keep bike riding for tomorrow!

Betty, I have been doing some cleaning since I am home alone. Ran the "sucky upper machine" so there is less "dog" on the rug. Got a load of dishes done, and took a walk around the yard. My daffs are coming up really well, and see a few little sprouts of green...might be crocus or hycinth...not sure yet.

When driving home, saw a front yard covered in little purple flowers...not so sure what they were. Not crocus.

I am really fighting off the need for a nap. I have done so much running this week, and two nights up with sick pets, it has caught up to me.

I don't know if they won the game, but came from way behind to catch up some I am sure. They should be home soon.

I am tired!! Foot is better, so we did some work outside today. I am not real happy that more did not get done,, but at least I could do some work and not hobble!!! As long as I keep shoes on I do pretty good, forget and walk around with out them and I start limping again.

I fired up the kiln last night!! So I will have some stuff to show off in a couple of days!!
I am re-doing the mermaid face, just not happy with it yet!!

Goober and Gryphon came over at 7:30am and worked till noon and then went home. Raslph and I are talking about taking a nap,, so I will check in later..

Debbie, always makes you feel better when the house is cleaned....I think debbie they are a kind ofmcrocus if they Re I'm thinking, yard down the street had them in the spring, problem with that is I'd never cut my lawn!

Maybe shane's team were just getting their second wind..anxious to hear if they've won...win or lose, Shane was on top of his game today.

The weather channel says it is 84,, no wonder I am so hot!!! I am thinking of turning on the air conditioner it is just that hot right now. DB went to get some ice cream!! This is just unreal. It gets to hot to fast here, and seems to get hotter earlier every year...sigh. Betty think I need to move up north for the summer,,,lol
