I have some old bowling balls that I am gonna paint and glaze to make my own glazing balls to sit around in the flower beds. Let ya know how they turn out, but that won't be for awhile. I won't have to worry about the wind that we get out here blowing them around.

Mud Elf what if you amke a paper mache egg over a balloon and let it dry and then sclupt around it? Just a thought! You can pop the balloon when it's dry and I wouldn't worry about the paper mache.

Victoria Harbour, ON

I'm here, just finished my itinerary for voyage south. Lol, now comes the fun part, return voyage. Lol...no Kris, won't be in your neck of the woods this time, perhaps another...

Judy, glad you aren't in the land of the missing...it's been a terrible time for you and your family and am sure it brought back so many memories of the time you had to deal with the same..I so admire how you celebrate their lives..much better than the funeral home..

I cannot believe how mature Jacob is..looked at the photo of you, steve and jacob and wonder if he's standing on something to make him taller? Wow, no more baby for sure!

Tell Jacob congratulations and he's got a lot to be proud of...can't believe the size of those wrestlers...gee whiz, I'd not be looking forward to them in a ring, shaking my head no/no/no!

Prayers for you and your family....just sent you a few hugs as well!

Crissy, you've been in my thought all morning, had such a wonderful time with you in Memphis the last time, even though Debbie and I kid you that I would love to meet up again...know it's a drive for you but it doesn't hurt for me to ask right...Crissy know we chat a lot but you don't have to try and comment on everything, just dropping in with a high is fine and appreciated!

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Thanks for all the nice comments, I really do love my gardens. It is so nice to look around and see all the things that Ric and my sons have made or done for me over the years.
Judy, so sorry for your family's loss. How proud you must be of your son, he is a cutie, too.
Mud_Elf, I keep thinking I will use a palliates ball to make a big round object to sit some where.
Betty, Sorry to say that having a DH that gardens doesn't protect plants from the riding mower. LOL
I can't count the number of small shrubs and plants that have been run over through out the years. Last year even after a warning he got my EE bud just coming up. He tried to tell me it didn't count as being mowed as he didn't get it with the blades just hit it with the tire. LOL
How about a little something to cheer us all up today. My crocuses are looking very bright today.

Duh,, Why did I not think of that??? Great idea. I will try it!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Holly, you did cheer me up with that photo..can't believe it's what is in your yard already...gorgeous.. don't men have all kinds of excuses..you must show us more photo's..I'm just sooo envious!

Kris, just ask Shirley, think she thinks of solutions all day long..

8 more minutes and I'm out of here..lol

Greg is running late and won't be over until 7pm..gives me plenty of time to get the chicken and dumplings done then like a good mom I'll kick him out so he can get home early and I can play t.v. bingo unless of course Ann will not come and then I'll con him to sit and play with mom...

Ames, NE(Zone 5b)

Just finished vacuming the closet and wash the walls going down to the family room. I have some rolled carpet that I think will try a lay in the closet and out a ways. It will just make it a lot nicer. I could put down tile I have. Again I'll have to think on it. I'm done for the night. I'm going to peel some potatoes and then we'll have supper.

I have to say that chicken and dumplings sound mighty tasty. Betty those flowers you have growing in pots are probably grape hyacinths. They are darling and those and the bethlehem stars will be the first to show their faces here. The corcus and stuff come later.

I'll have to finish the bathroom wall before I can put the cuboard back in the for the towels. I think I'll look at the paint tomorrow when I go to town. I'll start on the other floor tomorrow and by then it's time to dust and vacum the upper floor.

I talked to the daughter in Wis. last night. She has a phone interview with a hospital in Omaha and is going to call and she if she can do the same with the other two in Lincoln. Her and the granddaughter that is still in school would come out and live with us till they find a place to rent. They have horses so it will have to be in the country and the granddaughter wants to start school before the year is out so she can make friends. They will have to come and help get what pasture area we have ready as it needs the last of the fence up and the gates put back on. If it works out it would be great. I'd love having them here and so would Tubby. The son-in-law would stay there for a while, they have 4 dogs and don't want to leave their house empty till they sell it or rent it out. He has retired from the prison system so is looking at getting a part time job. He needs to do that.

Okay, enough for this chapter of the book. Check in later.

Ames, NE(Zone 5b)

Tubby is tucked in for the night and he told me he won't do dialysis it all this week. I will have to call and let them know. I told him I would bring up the potting mix, seeds and trays for him tomorrow. He can plant a few things and I know that will brighten his day. I know it's hard on him not being able to get the gardens himself. We talked some and he has asured me that he's not ready to give up. He said he would tell me when the time comes. I can't wait till he plants seeds tomorrow.

I will close for the night and check back with everyone tomorrow. We hope everyone has a wonderful evening and I know Betty is going to hit the jackpot so she can get a camper and travel to see us all. " Come on Betty"

Sweet dreams to all! and God Bless and keep you well.

Lyndonville, NY

Good night Shirley, sweet dreams to you and Tubby. I know he will enjoy planting the seeds. I always find that so healing.

Hugs,
Debbie

Victoria Harbour, ON

No jackpot Debbie, in fact ann got here and had lost 1 card, know that we'd have won on that one. Lol...

Tired so will respond in the morning but wanted to give you ann's update

Appt. Did not go well, it was yesterday and not today, the girls were with him when the specialist gave him at best 3 months but likely less...as you can imagine they are all taking it badly...she called home while here but said Mike would not answer the phone, doesn't want anyone to know...the doctor said the growths were larger and therefore they would stop chemo but if mike insisted they'd do another round but dr. Felt it would do nothing except perhaps make him I'll...there are new drugs on the market, not tested as yet and doctor said perhaps he could be in a testing group but not so sure he'd be accepted into the program because his lungs are so filled with growths.

I could see that Ann was done in, looked as though she had cried all day with no more tears to shed at least for tioday..said it's difficult to get throughout the day but she must..she is praying that Mike will get the summer I'm and enjoy his boat...hope is all they have right now..both girls are taking it so hard!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Betty I will be deeeelighted to drive to Memphis to see you, it's only 3 hours. When are you going to be there?

((((((JUDY)))))) I agree that a Celebration of Life is the way to go. Congrats for making it to State, that is a huge deal even though you don't realize it until you're grown lol

Holly no it does not! They forget where they plant things and when they're riding they don't pay attention to anything, I swear it!!

Shirley I am so glad Tubby gets to plant seeds tomorrow! That's exciting and is very healing!

I had an interesting day, got an email via Ancestry.com a few days ago from someone named Angie asking about my very partial family tree! I introduced myself and to make sure it wasn't a scam I asked her who she's related to. She told me who my father is, who my grandfather was (he passed when my dad was 12 so I never knew him,) who my dad's sister was, and who dad's sisters kids are! I'd say she's doing a family tree herself and it's not a scam. She is the great-granddaughter of my grandfather's sister! I never knew he had a sister! So since my mom is working on the family tree herself I told Angie that my parents are still the best of friends and my mom is trying to put a family tree together but she doesn't have any leads and my dad is the most non family oriented person alive. I sent the email to her and to my dad, figured between the three of them maybe they can put the whole thing together and find out when we came overseas.

Baton Rouge, LA

Hello To All !

well a few replies first.... Shirley....you'll have to tell me more about the eyeritis... I remember Mom having that while visiting me once...had to take her to emergency room... wondering if it is something I should be telling my eye dr. So glad DD might be coming to live closer to you ! Sounds as though you are such a good influence on the DGD as well....

Holly - Very pretty pic ! Love the bridge as well... Are the pink flowers azaleas?

Barb glad you got a visit with Sean.... I am looking forward to days like that (looking WAAAAY into the future though LOL)... I have a quasi "Coke" collection... almost accidentally... it started the ONE time I visited Canada and I thought it SO cool that the Diet Coke said "sans sucre".... LOL Now I have all kinds of coke stuff from handling their advertising...

Judy - CONGRATS to Jake ! So cute how he fell asleep... Makes a Momma's heart so full.... I started "Growing Pains" today... but will be reading it slow.... (so much going on) would be so cool if you get Whirligig from Thunder soon so we'll be reading each other's books at the same time LOL.....

Prayers for Ann and Mike. Hard to say anything else. ((HUGS))

Crissy - Wow - a Family Tree... that is so cool... I'm sure you could help them out with the online stuff. We had a cousin of my Mom do all the work on one branch of our tree...and there is an entire Book now... inch thick... and website with info. The neat thing is this was years after I had named my son for that side of the family "Brock"...and they have reunions in the even years.....

Oh Thank you all... Dianne, Betty, Shirley, Barb, etc.... So funny about the refrig/freezer. Crazy... I would still consider it fairly "new".... We bought RIGHT after Hurricane Katrina which was BAD timing because supply=low demand=high and prices high at that time.... So last night like Keystone cops routine... we start transferring everything to small refrig/freezer outside...throwing stuff away... sending teens to store for ice..... Hubby makes round trip (an hour) to in laws to store stuff....Then he comes home and works on it.... and now it's working again....

But we still don't trust it.... so we'll see..... You know "THEY" don't make stuff like they used to... The last Refrig/Freezer I had I bought in 1994... USED for $500 and it worked right up to Hurricane Katrina... 11 years ! USED !

Hugs all,
Mary

((((Judy))))) and family, big big arm wraps. Life has not been fair to you all lately, so much hurt. But with your wonderful son, some happiness to hold onto through the rough times. Yes, I agree the Celebration of LIfe service is wonderful. Have everyone bring a favorite memory for a scrap book and a picture if they can....it makes a great treasure for the family.

Betty, so very sorry to hear of Ann & Mikes sad news. Not good at all.

Crissy, that will be fun to find out the family tree. My cousin Wayne and I have been working on ours for a couple years. Amazing the nuts falling outta that tree!!

Sweet dreams, hugs to everyone

Debbie

Baton Rouge, LA

Belle apparently does NOT like the flowers I planted this weekend. Will be a VERY different Gardening Season with a Puppy this year :(

(thunder)Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

Hi Mary...give her a spot that she can dig in....and when ever she digs where she is not supposed too...tell her NO...and bring her to the space where she CAN....takes awhile but she will "get it"

worked for our lab years ago!!

Ames, NE(Zone 5b)

Good Morning!

Tubby watching TV and me playing on the computer. I'll make some breakfast in a little bit.

So very very sorry to hear about Ann & Mike's news. God be with them and our prayers, thoughts and hugs. Please let them know that we are all with them.

I can't believe I'm posting before Betty this AM. If I beat her that's unusual or maybe my computer isn't working right. Well, I really don't know anything yet and haven't started my day so to speak, will check back later on.

Have a good day to all!

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

The little bridge was a gift and it fits nicely in my garden. My young Grandchildren love walking over it. In the fall I have a light up witch that lays under it with head and hands on one side and feet on the other side.
Mary, The pink flowers are inpatients the azaleas are the larger bushes in the back. Here is a spring pic that shows the azaleas in bloom. You can see some of the pansies and hellebore blooming also. In the background you can see the wisteria by the driveway.
I am picking up Chinese today and heading up to my friends house for lunch. She had knee surgery a few weeks ago, I go visit about once a week. Last week we cleaned her houseplants while I was there.
Shirley, Hope Tubby has a good day. It certainly would be nice to have your daughter and family closer.

Thumbnail by HollyAnnS
Ames, NE(Zone 5b)

Oh Holly love the picture. I want to plant two Wisterias by the entrance of the one flower bed. Tubby has put in four old tree tunks and I will have to add the branches for across the top and down the sides. I will do that this summer. I can just see the wisteria growing up and hanging down. Do you have to add acid to the soil for it? I love impatients and put them in the shady areas and vinca in the sunny spots. They mound themselves so nicely.

Tubby has eaten breakfast and I'll go get started soon on somemore chores. It's suppose to get up to around 70* today. I'm gonna hang a few things on the line to freshen up before packing away.

Tubby's brother made a few of those bridges. I couldn't think of a place to utilize it so I never had him make one for us. He did make a wishing well and I have it in the middle of one of the flower bed that is above ground. I am slowly adding mums to that area and will put a fern in the center of well to hang over. I can fill in around the mums with marigolds as we have tons of seeds. I never planted any of the Mexican Sunflowers last year, but I will this year. I love them as they get about 5' tall and the prettiest orange flower. I collect the seed heads from most of our differnt flowers so we don't have to buy seed. I have hibiscus seeds that will go in the ground in the fall as they need to go through a freeze. I did that one year and had a 60' row to transplant. The seeds are all mixed together so I never know what color I have till they bloom the first time. The south side of the garden and the west is planted with hibiscus that we started. It's about 90' total.

Chat later!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, it's a pouring down rain type of day here so I've thoughts of no snow left by the weekend except for maybe another couple of storms just blowing through!

Shirley would have been on earlier but I had company at 7:15 a.m.
Darlene's mom needs a heart operation and is getting frustrated with not being able to do housework, as Cathy cleans for a living I suggested they contact her..only problem is Cathy does not drive and Art/Mae live 20 minutes away so meeting place to pick Cathy up was my house, she's an early riser so she arrived just in time for coffee..

Crissy, if all works out as planned we'd arrive in Memphis around noon on May 22nd, they want to do Graceland and then off to Beale St. for the evening and we'd leave early Monday morning to head towards St. Louis and the Arch and THIS time Debbie, I'm going up, keep thinking how beautiful it was and what we missed by being afraid..lol..as well, Cahokia Mounds is only 1/2 hour away so I'll throw that in...

Think the last time I took this route Bev was somewhere nearby?? have to check that out as well...on my way down, I'm going to try and stop for 1/2 hour at Joyce' just long enough to give her a hug..

So this morning, I'm off to see what can be seen once we leave Cahokia Mounds...

One of the travellers isn't sure she'll be able to make it, I'm trying to do this itinerary so that she says 'awe, I just have to go' lol

Victoria Harbour, ON

Mary I had problems with refrigerator once, moved it out,saw the hose and put air compressor to it, lordy you'd never believe the dirt that came out of it, think that particular fridge is still running..glad for now it's working and you can put $$ aside just incase it acts up, you'll be worried now though just incase to you home to everything thawed. I look at the features on new appliances and am overwhelmed by what they can do and where are the $399.99 refrigerators..oh yes, that was in 1981 right?

Mary good luck with Belle, my neighbor cannot keep a garden planted, the minute she tries, her dog digs it up, last year they did 2 railroad ties high and even then he was on hind legs digging, even my kitty Missy was in helping him..she wasn't impressed, think I promised to purchase a 'bleeding heart' for her as a replacement plant.

Thunder you've such a big yard though that you could easily find a digging area..it's so nice when posting about dg garden friends that I've visited that I can make comments as to what is where, their yards etc. COOl isn't it? What do you have planned today, won't be many days left and your company will be gone. Any news from your son??? are you still able to keep in contact?

Crissy, you (we) can become addicted once we start doing research on our ancestors..glad you'll be able to learn more about your family! Just the other day I asked Melanie if she still had the family tree book I did for her when she and Greg married but she said it was packed away in boxes and she'd get Greg to go in search of it...my sister Sharon is working on our family at present and it would certainly help her out as grandma and grandpa had little stories about their parents/grandparents that I added..hope they come up with it!

Holly, the light/hands/feet would make a wonderful Halloween display, lordy you are creative as can be. Love the shrubs..how old is your garden..I've been doing mine for about 4 years and I always want the mature gardens that my neighbors have but don't have the patience to understand my gardens are 'baby' gardens..lol

Victoria Harbour, ON

has a post go into cyberspace so thought after typing I'd press send as not to have it happen again!!!

Shirley, how wonderful it would be to have the family relocate..wonderful for you and for Tubby! Is it like here, hospitals always looking for nurses/doctors?

Didn't win at Bingo Shirley, but, if you remember I have the little camper I bought last fall, hasn't been out yet, will soon be time to start organizing what I can and what I can't bring with me, how light I have to travel, after all it's a 'wee' little thing...

Laura, isn't it today you are off to pick up your unit...I can see you smilling from her..how exciting!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Betty many prayers are going out to Mike and Ann, I'm so glad she let the girls know even though he didn't want her too. My grandfather was the same way, but when he was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure and given a year he didn't have a choice but to tell us because my grandmother had Alzheimer's and couldn't take care of herself. He still refused any help that came along and if someone helped anyway, he got mmmaaaddddd.

Mary I don't know any names and that's what she's looking for. I've forwarded her to my mom and dad lol

Ok Betty, whose coming with you? I'd like to take that Monday off and spend the night again. Dave's 50th birthday is the Friday before on May 20th, maybe if I bribe him he'll come along. I know Memphis in May is going on the whole month of May and there are festivals and stuff, maybe I could interest him in that.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Crissy, I looked for when the festivals are but I can't seem to find any that will be held that weekend! Seems the big festival is last of April and May 1st. if I'm understanding it well..

Suzanne and Linda (SIL's) and maybe Rita are suppose the by the 4 of us but that could change..spent to morning looking at going to St. Louis leaving Memphis early morning, but lordy that's a bit out of the way and make for a 14hr. drive on Tuesday to get home..so will talk to the girls and see what they want to do

Is it bothering Dave that he'll be 50..that number seems to really affect people..

Lexington Park, MD

YUK I have the stomach bug going on here and trying to get over it.
Betty let Ann know that our prayers are with her and MIke and the girls.
Holly love all the pretty flowers and trees .
Did I hear road trip?????
Off to lay down for a bit.
To all have a good day.

Thank you so very much for all the Hugs,Prayers and kind thoughts, I really can use them and I am delighted to Armwrap Each and Every One of you. Wish I can do it in person, but believe you, me, It is truly heartfelt.
LOL, so much to comment on, I hardly know where to begin.
Betty, winking, I will start with you. Goodness, I am so sorry to hear that you are still having headaches!! Please, Do as all your friends have said, because WE love you, get this checked out. Bummer you are sick with, sounds like the horrible cold I had, lol-yikes, I didn't send it your way! (I didn't have a headache tho...hmmm.) At any rate, I do hope you get to feeling better, like now!
...OMG, sounds like you do need to check with a lawyers advise, just to be sure things are not amiss, bells and whistles going off! But I do hope that in fact it is just a matter of finalizing the situation, yikes, I guess time to close that chapter, maybe they just finally see it's overtime on moving on. I do hope you will benefit with what is owed to you, you gave it your all and they abused that! Yep, probably a good move not telling mom…Sure hope she is better by the time she is to have surgery!
Ohhh, Betty, I just love the materials for The Wood Spirit quilt!!! Really Love the color choice, I see, Bears and fish and Birds, how gorgeous that is going to be, Can’t wait to see it!!
...Oh goodness, Please, give Anne a giant ArmWrap from Us, so hard to come to terms with all that is happening.
Prayers continue for Mike and Anne as well.
Woohoo, time to travel with your little pop up tent!!! How fun and exciting to create your Itinerary, lol I can just picture you with your map, GPS otherwise known as Thelma, (giggle giggle)! and calendar to mark dates!...Woohooooo, Be sure to Mark Sistah Gathering, Kidnap Debbie and head for Glenview!! hehehe, hear that Debbie, start packing, so you’re ready.
Liz will be here on July 29th!! She and Kenny want to go to the Cottage, like the next day! I think it will work. We are hoping for the Gathering to be either that first weekend in Wisconsin or the second weekend in IL, I guess it will all depend on when and where everyone wants to go!!
LIZZZ, you better jump in here and help with this timing thing!!! hahaha.
Betty and everyone, I have got to tell you all what a sweet dear Sister, our Liz has been. My gosh, always right by my side, taking calls and listening to me blab or cry or just *&^%% away! Sistah Jaye too!!
Waiving Hi to Crissy!!! How is your MOM? You are absolutely amazing with your knowledge of Weather!! I think you should not be a computer person, you should have been in weatherology or something…Sending you lots of hugs to get through Spring. ..

continued, next post!

Glenview, IL

Loving that you have been in the gardens. As far as the old neighbor”friend” Well, I think she’s all talk and if she hasn’t come this time, she isn’t coming, lol Personally I’d have thought everything mine when she didn’t come the first time…So plant away!
Laura, So glad to see Dad’s birthday was a success! How cool to get him trees. Love Lilacs, make sure to put them in a very sunny location, lol you probably already know that! I have a small one that needs to be transplanted to the back, it’s been in the front in lots of shade between that and the deer chowing on it’s, having a rough time! How are you feeling? I hope your back is getting better everyday…Oh, isn’t it exciting your new Camper is ready!! Have you picked it up yet? And lol, have you al decided where you will travel to “break” her in?? oop, got to make a list now of needed items to gather to make it a home on wheels.
Dianne, How are you doing way out yonder?? I hope your little piece of the world is warming up and you seeing nature come to life. Do you still have ice on your lake? Spring I, must say is My all time favorite times of the year!! I just adore seeing the Robins coming home, and the plants awakening from their winter splender, ohhh and how cool, We will be having our first outside fire, possibly this weekend, will have to celebrate, Nature…
Big Armwraps, about your Friend. Whatever your decision, you have all the support you need from us. You are a good friend and I sure hope/pray your friend, will not do anything drastic.
As you all know, I have been really out of sorts for the last couple of years. But my infatuation has returned with a vengeance last Fall!! I can Harley wait to get out there and do some gardening.
Lots to do, So, I’m quitting making a mental list and actually writing out a list I can cross off, as I go…And a lot of tender loving care I owe my very neglect gardens…Time for my moon walks to get a vision again.
Bev, So cheering me up to see your splendid gardens!! Beautiful as ever. Glad you, have been able to get out there and work a bit…Please, please go at it slow and easy, Ask, your friend to come and do the heavy stuff, We Love you.
Kris, How wonderful, Goober cheering for the first time! She’s adorable…So love that she enjoys gardening like her grandma…Think I already said how much I like that Potting table, Also, have enjoyed your other picture….Hahahah, goofy me always thought Mooch was a kid!! He is a pretty dog!
So, I see you are working on the mermaid…Funny, As I was skimming photo’s yesterday, I found one of Julia and her rendition of a sand sculpture, it was a mermaid!! Smiled with you in thought.
Barb, I think it’s wonderful your boys came to spend Spring Break with you!! Yep, I can relate to all the noises and learning what to shut out and what not to…LOL, I used to tell my kids fight about anything but if blood is drawn, I’ll have to settle the situation. Even with all the other kids over, goodness almost couldn’t wait till dinner time and everyone would go home!
So now have you resumed to your projects, what are you working on?...Mine got put on hold again, but I intend to get back to them sometime today! Got Rows to make, But I finished yours, winking, so sorry

Continued next post!

Glenview, IL

it’s taken forever, will get it in the mail hopefully along with Linda Kays, and Thunders by Monday is my self set goal!
Debbie, Debbie…I can just picture you so very Proud of your Son and the boys! Great looking group, and I just love Shane’s Hat!!
So glad to hear the Talent show was such a success, did you tape it? Congratulations to Shane for winning a Bronze medal, something to be very proud of, a nice thing to add to his portfolio!…And again Awesome that he was excepted at the College of his choice!! OMG, so jealous he is continuing on with his music!! Always wishing Julia would have stayed with it, but not! Sooo, Clapping hands for Shane, 2 hours away isn’t so bad, I hope that means he will come home pretty frequently.
Bummer about your foot still so sore, And hey, you best listen and move slowly, at least your wearing shoes again, that’s real good!
ROFLOL everyone about all my cleaning, Comes to a point where I can’t stand looking at a mess and just attack things. LOL, it does help to take other matters off my mind…And here is the ‘dirty’ truth about under that sink. First, Steve went to do a honey do list for someone and he was commenting on how incredibly dirty the place was!! Then Jake and I were watching the last CSI show it was about hording and dead bodies were found in the house…lol, no dead anything under my sink, whew! And finally remember I told you the Cuz came and borrowed my cleaning supplies? Well that did it, as I was looking for stuff, He was standing right over me seeing how filthy it was, So the real reason of it getting cleaned was My total embarrassment!!
Linda Kay, Wow, Love seeing your Hummers! Geesh, I don’t know how you capture them on film.
Hahah, I guess having the camera very handy does the trick, lol mine is always on the other side of the house or batteries are dead…One would never ever know I used to be quite the photographer, not any more, I am always to caffined up! So pictures don’t come out as nice. Anyway, just love your Hummers, so glad Todd will be caring for the birds while you are on your trip…A bitter sweet trip this one is, and I hope it all goes well four your family…Be safe and sending armwraps.
Speaking of Birds, how about a Skittles story…When we got back from our trip, Steve went into our bathroom, bird followed him, Well he finished what he was doing, turned off the light and proceeded down the hall, lol Skittles flew through the dark landed on his shoulder and said” Whatta you doing?
LOL, DH hadn’t heard him say that, so he found it to be pretty cute! Then last night Skittles playing ball, rolled over on his back holding his ball in his claws, way too cute, of course camera in the other room!
Oh and Betty, don’t know if I ever commented on the finding Jack a new home. I hope the bird is adjusting well…
Mary, Lets see, You, are funny had many chuckles over a few of your comment, re vaccume cleaner,
The church Bulletin was hysterical!! I read it a couple of time, continued laughing out loud too.

LOL..Continued next post!!

Glenview, IL

Awe, now even though you are a new gardener, you’re doing a fantastic job!! Your gardens are coming along beautifully! Well, it’s cute, but not so cute of Belle wanting to help you. Bless you Judy. My heart is much lighter since hearing from you. I don't know what rock I was under but I wasn't aware of your family tragedy. I'm so sorry. Please forgive me for not responding sooner. I'll say special prayers for your family.
Betty, what can I say to Ann? My heart is so sad. After talking with her these times, I feel so close to her and I don't know how to express myself to her. Please give her an extra hug from me and let her know she is never far from my thoughts.
I went to block of the month this morning and I saw some of the most beautuful fabrics. Jinny Beyer has some new ones out in her line and they are stunning. We were told that prices will go up starting Next week on some items and all by Apr. 1st. Time to go back to the store when it is not so busy. All her fat quarters are on sale at 20% off so it may be worth my while to check it out.
Off for some lunch. Have a great day everyone......

Tubby is taking a nap right now. I'm gonna go hang a quilt on the line to freshen and load the stuff that needs to go to the laundromat for washing. I'll bring it home and hang on lines to dry. I haven't decided if I'll go pick up paint today or not, depends on what I get done.

Yes Tubby will set up to plant the seeds and I won't plant him upright though there were times when I wanted to. LOL!

I need to stop and get new license plates for Durango. I've got the ones for the truck but haven't put them on yet since I need a new battery. Well, I better finish my pepsi and go check the birds first and than I'll see if I can get the ATV going so I can hook up the cart to put the weeds in. wish me luck. I don't know what I did with the key. I'll look around for it. I have to call this friend of Tubby's and see if he still has the starter we need for one of JD lawn tractors, if so I'll see if I can pick it up and then install it. I'd like to have it ready to go when I get the garden cleaned out.

Be back later gang!

Wow, that was quite the post Judy, you are so amazing..I'm so hoping you are continuing writting that book of yours..some people just have a way with words don't they..you must have been up at 5am writting that one..lol..

It is much appreciated...

As for the reunion Judy, need to know what is happening shortly, everyone starts booking summer vacation about this time and I want to make sure that I'm first with the correct time schedule where everyone will be coming...so PLEASE give me specifics..

So laughing about the cleaning..at Christmas being down cleaning moms place out and also watching the hoarders I got where I was going through every closet/storage box and yes, even under the beds to see what I could dispose of..haven't done the under the counter cupboards and I think if I don't do so soon I'll have potatoes with eyes longer than 6" ready to plant.yikes...science projects for sure.

Greg decided as I have left overs from last night and he so enjoyed and I said I was having pork roast and rice tonight that he decided to visit mom again..love it!!!

Laura, hope you are feeling better! Did you have to cancel picking up your unit!

Barb, last night I told Ann another card was coming from you along with prayers and hugs..she started to cry..she said to tell YOU ALL, how much knowing that people out there were praying for his well being..

Last night I found it so difficult, as some of you said, "WHAT CAN YOU SAY!" guess it's time to listen vs. gabbing

Victoria Harbour, ON

Dang you tire me Shirley..you are working on pure fumes..best take a few naps or you'll need fixing! Tubby had better watch himself lol or you'll have him taking on the job of 'scrarecrow'

Barb, wonder why fabric is going up in price?

Can't believe that we are paying anywhere from $11.99 to $18.99 for a meter of material, only 3" longer than your yard..no wonder I keep purchasing fabric when south of the border.

Did get an e-mail yesterday I think it was saying that my shipment was in the mail..think all I chose was Christmas, not sure

Hoping this weekend now that I'm feeling better that I'll be able to get to some sewing..amazing how time flies and I don't want to be behind in the blocks and want to get my 3 - 12 month of Christmas quilts done and the Spirit of the Woodlands done before october ..they will need quilting as they are gifts. I'll shhh shhh as I know you don't want me gabbing about that holiday already!

Betty from what it looks like by going to http://ask.com and searching Memphis in May 2011 schedule it's the triathlon and symphony weekend. I don't really care about either.

I'll have to catch up in a bit.

Two reasons why cotton is going up in price.
1. The Asian women have decided that quilting is fun!!! So they are buying a lot more of it.
Since a lot of cotton is now grown in Asia that makes it nice for them.
You do know that cotton is no longer a plentiful crop here in the US and that most of our
fabric mills have either closed or gone overseas so...
2. Shipping costs to the US have risen dramatically. Therefore, higher prices.
According to my LQS she held her prices down as long as she could but cannot do so any longer and
still stay in business. So-----------

Wow, often traveling south Barb I see cotton fields and have wondered if they came up with a synthetic cotton?
Hate to think about how much our yardage will cost after what we are paying now!

Enjoying sitting here watching kids on roller blades playing road hockey without jackets, am sure some will be in bed tomorrow with pneumonia lol. Walked the back yard, still white but in few areas I see soil and am seeing a couple of green leaves, how exiting is that..

Crissy, neither interest me either....with not having a whole lot of time I'm sure with what we have we'll have a full slate.

Received a wind hime from a swap this afternoon...too cute, pair of flippers, will have to take photo tonight and post on wind chime thread, if weather continues as it is soon I'll be able to find a limb to hang them on

Supper is ready, just waiting for Greg , hopefully he'll arrive shortly before I fill myself doing the sampling test!

To Our Dearest Friends: Mary S., Thunder K., Betty P., Debbie G., Laura B., Dianne M., Kris S., Barb J., Judy S., Susan M., Linda C., and Christine R. -

OMG! You gals are just too much! Let me tell you the story -

Today it was beautiful out and after hanging up the rugs to dry on the clothes line I took a little stroll to the mail box. I grabbed it and when I got in the house and up to the dining room table I started to go through the mail. There is this large envelope from Strokes and proceed to open it. I couldn't believe my eyes and I quickly took it over to Tubby to show him. He couldn't believe it either. We cannot begin to tell you what a delightful surprise it was and how touching and dear to our hearts. You gals are absolutely the best of friends that anyone could ask for, How Blessed We Are!

It'll be fun to look at the catalog and pick something out and think of all of you guys when we look at it. We'll let you know what we decide on.

From the bottom of our hearts we say THANK YOU ALL SO VERY VERY MUCH AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL! We will keep you always in our hearts and prayers and God Be With You All!

I don't know what is wrong, but it won't let me type hardly. I have to hold each key for a second or so. I can't figure it out. HELP! I will have to call DELL and see what they say, so maybe gone for awhile.

A post like that is sure worth all the sore fingers from voting and voting and voting!!!!! My smile is as wide as the Mississippi!!!!

Lyndonville, NY

Teary eyed....you just made my day so much brighter! Shows our VOTE does count!!

Lots of hugs,
Debbie

Shirley, don't you ( me) ( we) think that when you hear people say people only think of themselves these days...one must be careful making ties with folks on Internet...laughed at when we say there are earthly angels abound. How we all got so blessed with each other?
Lord does work wonders does he not...look at all the wonderful, kind, thoughtful people we've come across just by opening our hearts...you just have to feel sorry for those who cannot do so!

How much fun it will be for both of you to leaf through the catalogue and pick something special!

Debbie, you are in hot water with Greg, yes you are....he ate supper, made him a tea, he got up to have a cookie that is sitting on the table only to realizes they weren't real, ' fake food he says, cant anyone give
you real food? '

Kris, sending you a special thank you!
