Yes. Hate to drive these days. And truckers are the pits.
Coffee Break #55 More rain coming!!
Emergency at a second reactor now. And possibly a third. 170K people evacuated already!
What a mess..
The Diablo Canton reactor in California is near a number of active faults. It's built to withstand about a 7.5 quake. Duh!!
It's right on the beach too.
Nice warm water for the swimmers!
- Good for evening swimming, the water glows in the dark!
Worrying about mercury in my swordfish would be obsolete.
No, I think the mercury is fresh. ^_^
thanks for the reminder Ronnie... I did forget
Yes thanks and feel better soon Ronnie.
Feel better soon, Ronnie! The situation in Japan just keeps getting worse...those poor people. How do you clean up a mess like that?
Best to you, Ronnie.
Feel better Ronnie
Feel better!
i just realised it is really 2:36 in the morning!!
um, only add one hour- it is two oclock NOW by my watch. Hope luvs is fast asleep and getting better. There was a big outbreak of 'stomach flu' at a swim meet at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, sounded pretty unpleasant all around.

Oh, dear....not good! The good news is my Huskies won the Big East Championship......can't believe it....they were seeded #9! Out of 16.....
That's good news, Marilyn.
Hope you're feeling better this morning, Ronnie.
Exciting end to the game. I watched.
Donated to the Red Cross for Japan. If you can, please do.
They even had a volcano erupt now.
The earthquake shortened the length of the day, caused us to spin faster. Also shifted the mass of the earth by 6.5 inches. - the 'figure axis' shifted.

Thanks for the well wishes guys♥ Everyone I know that had the bug had it bad and longer than normal. Lots of ginger ale and crackers today...yummy
So sad about Japan, really makes you count your blessing.
Read that yesterday, WC. The fault also shifted by quite a bit.
Before and after shots.

The Japanese use farming space very well.....sad to see what happened.
Nat Geo is showing Countdown to the Next Mega-Quake at 8 tonight.
We did lots of work over the years for the Japanese nuke companies. Wonderful people to deal with. They are demanding, but extremely polite, gracious and professional. At the end of each program, they would take us out to the top Japanese restaurants in Manhattan. Been to the one in The Waldorf and a couple of others. Private room each time.
wonder if it will be the yellowstone quake - end of the world for us when it happens
Yes, the Yellowstone will dwarf every other disaster we've faced.
New video. Holy crap!

wow!
Weird how when we think of a dangerous tsunami we picture a huge wave. It only takes a foot or two to carry all these vehicles away and take down buildings, etc. It's the volume and speed.
That was hard to watch
Certainly was, as has all these videos. The death toll will be nowhere near the '04 one (hopefully), but this one is so much more emotional because of all the videos. The '04 one hit poor areas where there were not many people with cameras.
I can't watch.....just too sad.
23 of the same GE-designed reactors in the US.
I'm with you, Dem.
