I tip my barber 3 bucks but my comb-over is about shot!!!! May end up get a buzz cut if I can talk DW into it. Added info on lettuce - other day DW was shopping and skipped the "iceberg" at 3 bucks a head!!!! Guess I'll go back to growing lettuce. I have grown leaf lettuce under light in the basement.
Coffee Break #55 More rain coming!!
My hair stylist is named Bosch. He is a true artist.
By mistake Jack left the lights on downstairs, for the vegetables, 24 hours a day for the first three or four days, years ago. The lettuce was edible by day 4.
polisher Victor??
:)
Thanks for that story, Pixie.....Plymouth State was DH's college.....he was co-captain of their first basketball team.....I will send something to that fund in his memory. I have a top loading machine that has never given me a day's problem....I don't like the front loaders that I've used at the laundramat to wash spreads etc. I do tip my hairdresser even though he's the owner.....he's working hard!
Polish and buff, and lots of tlc.
Thanks guys...going to stick to the top loaders I think...just not sure if I like the front loaders enough. Hard to change after doing laundry since I was ten! LOL I like the dryer we saw today and the door swung out instead of down which I liked a lot. My husband said he can put that on a platform so I won't have to bend as much. He did like the rock idea and I said OK if I could get a new rock for my finger!
Lots of rain hear and lots of water in the already wet basement...grr...yard is a mud pit on top of it.
We used to play Money in the Middle, but this is ridiculous!

Ewwww, LOL!!
Cute monkey, people are crazy!
That is a cute monkey!
It's cute until it eats someone's face!
I love my front loader. I've had it for a year.
Rain has now turned to snow :(
Jan, remember aptitude tests?
Bear is to woods as my Addy is to Petsmart
I tip my hairstylist cuz she has it tougher than me, and because she'll actually spend it and stimulate the economy! And do my own cheap color, and cut son's hair so I figure I can certainly afford to tip her.
DH cuts my hair--no tips, even though he grumbles.
Massive mag 8.9 earthquake hit Japan last night. The first shock wave will hit Hawaii at 8 am our time.
Massive tsunami went with that quake!
Yes, that's the product of the shock wave.
The entire West Coast of the US including Canada & Mexico are on alert. It's the smaller islands that can be completely devastated by the waves, where the max altitude is ~11-12 feet, - the coral atolls.
DB is trying to contact friends there.....his military contacts say it's bad, my heart and prayers go out to them.
Yeah, I wouldn't want to be in the path of that shock wave, people get washed out to sea, -gone..
Saw video of tsunami in Japan, all those people.....my heart is heavy.
just heard about this on the news this morning - hope they get the reactor under control!
The tsunami is hitting Hawaii as I type and will hit California coast later on. They have closed a highway and evacuated a town in and around San Fransico.
Oh, how horrible....I just saw it when I went onto the computer.....
Already affecting the market, another reason for $6.00 gallon gas
when is the best time to dig and move a butterfly bush.. I have a volunteer from last year
What a tragedy. Upgraded to a 9.0. That is beyond devastating. Weird, I just watched a show about quakes and tsunamis the night before.
They believe the crust ruptured 150 miles long and 50 miles wide. That is staggering.
The NA plate, which dives down under the Pacific plate, suddenly snapped up releasing all the built-up strain.
Now it looks like a major radiation leak may be happening.
SF this AM.

One man was washed away in Calif, four others were rescued in Oregon before they ended up in Japan, (or thereabouts)!
Yes, he was taking photos.
How doubly tragic for Japan to have to deal with radiation now.
1000X normal radiation at that plant.
Yikes!!
There have been some unusually big flares on the sun ejecting matter towards earth this week also, coincidence/ or maybe everything is related to each other in some way.. who knows.
