Thanks Victor, DW might be taking a flight down there, haven't decided if I'm going yet..
Coffee Break #55 More rain coming!!
my condolences wc
Thanks Bill.
- wish it got easier as you get older, but it doesn't...
very sorry wc. Losing parents is bad enough, but your own generation is extremely tough.
Happy Birthday to your son, jumper!
Thanks Iris, - yes it is..
Sobering - now the worst-case scenario is a strong possibility.

They abandoned ship, no one there to stop it now.
WC, sorry to hear, prayers for your family.
Pixie, contests, hope all is delivered safely,
Victor, tell your cousin they will survive twin, mine just turned 30! Best of luck to the parents!
Thanks Dem,
- Victor, if that stuff melts down it's going to make Chernobyl look like a picnic!
Depends on the power of the (steam) blast and the wind direction. Hopefully out to sea.
Let's hope! -We'll know soon enough!
Ugh... this is terrible.
Charlie took along time to come out....guess he saw what was going on in the world.
He was just born 20 minutes ago @ 5:45 , so he shares a birthday with the lovely IrisMA.
A very Happy Birthday IrisMA!!!
congrats!!!!
thank you, Tell Charlie that I said hello.
WC sorry for your loss. You are right it does not get any easier as we get older.
Twins ARE great - mine are now 32 and a delight, but I do wish I had asked for help when they were little. No family was close by.
Congrats on Charlie! I love that name. It's my oldest son's name also.
My heart aches for Japan.
Congrats and welcome Charlie (Brown?)!! Born on the Ides - the day I got my house.
Cannot believe some people actually make horrible jokes about the disaster in Japan. Gilbert Godfried, 50 Cent and one of the NY Liberty players, among them. Happy to see Aflac dropped GG immediately.
Me, too! Nothing funny about that situation....Sorry for your loss, WC.....my brother suffers from Parkinson's, very hard for me to see him getting so weak......Pixie, congrats to you and your family.....send photos of Charlie!
Those people want to be noticed, they'll do anything and step over anyone to be the center of attention.
- Thanks Jan & Robin.
Sorry for your loss WC
Congrats Celeste, how big was he?
Happy b-day to your son, Jumper
Watching a tv reporter right now describing the operation of the type of reactor that is affected in Japan. Almost everything he said is incorrect!
Yes - engineer, not that you have to be one to understand the basics.
Thanks for the b-day wishes for DS.
I don't understand why people make fun of disasters. It's very rude.
Today is Buzzard Day in OH. The turkey buzzards have arrived in Hinckley, OH. They always show up on the 15th.
Weird! They're always around here.
I hink they head a little further south and then show up again. They have official spotters and make a big deal of it.
- Thanks Jen.
I heard yesterday that the US sent 2 specialists from Nuclear Reg. to assist Japan but they didnt know the design of the reactor below the water line..
I said What!?? How can you advise someone about something like that if you're not 'in the loop'!?
Either the reporter doesn't have accurate information or meltdown has begun and they want to keep it quiet for now.. - or both!
(I've never seen many buzzards around here, I think the seagulls keep them away.)
All buzzards are sent to Ohio from here. Postage going up.
That sounds fishy, WC. I read a second team is on the way. I'm hoping GE people, who designed the dang thing!
I am not a fan of boiling water reactors. Most of the ones built recently are pressurized water. Safer, in general.
Welcome to the world Charlie, your our new future!! Congrats celeste!
What a cute little guy!! God Bless!
Thank you Victor!
Like the beenie hat? LOL

Now he needs a dog named Snoopy!
I was worried that he was the 'bad' guy in a black hat western bandit. but then I saw the Patriot logo.
LOL Lucy! Yes, his Dad is a NEP fan.
my sister that lives in OH went to the festival ... she said it was pretty freaky how many landed there
