We have hummers! They came in today! So far we have 2 male blackchinned humers! We were so excited when we saw them this afternoon!

We had a decent yard this morning...showing lots of green and my daffs on the south side. Not so tonight, covered in the white stuff, a couple inches again!!! No hummers here for awhile

After posting dil Melanie came over, saw sme hacking and holding my head so she just left a few minutes ago....could be si us also....promise o e thi g, I'll go get eyes checked on Monday after work, already have an appt. Will get new glasses and if it doesn't help off to hospital I'll go. And if it stays the same tomorrow or worse I'll go as wel.....

I've been up for an hr. Tubby in recliner and me at table having coffee. I couldn't sleep any longer.

Morning all, Well Mooch decided that Goober and I did not need to sleep, So he woke us up at 6:30 am. We have been playing with the dog, reading Craigslist and generally not getting anything done!! Goober has taken Mooch in the living room to watch cartoons,, maybe I can fall back asleep?? Naaaa. I think I will give the bathroom ceiling another coat of paint!

We are going to try to plant some brocolli, carrots, spinich, Romaine lettece and radishes today. But have to wait on Ralph to till the garden area, So may be tomarrow,,,sigh. He works so much and is really to tired to get much done here. Still waiting on new shower to be installed.

I am hoping Crystal will join us on this thread. She is the wonderful Lady I met at Cracker Barrel yesterday. She has the most interesting blog. I got some good info and a couple of chuckles reading it. If anyone is intrested I can send a link.

Shirley, yes Goober is in a cheerleading squad. This was her fist time ever and she did pretty good considering her hadicaps. She has Epilepsy and also is Bi-polar and ADDS. Poor thing has issues but has a good heart and lots and lots and lots of energy. Wears me out when she is here. But that is good for me!! She loves to craft and garden!! So she is like her Nana.

Betty let us know how the headache is today. Still looking for your moms phone #,,,,lol

Morning everyone! COffee is on! I'll be in the back yard watching the hummers!

Hot water heater is still in the back yard. Todd finally got it all dug up, and is going this morning for pipes and parts. Should be back together this afternoon!

Going to rake and pick up more sticks today. Have to take Scotty to see his dear nephew who is 73 yrs old and unliked by me. Hope I can get him down the stairs and up in the truck. Take care Betty and don't wait too long. LOVE TO ALL BEV

I had a sleepless night also. Izzy had me up all night wanting to go out every 45 minutes or so, and very restless. With her PICA I know she ate something just don't know what and have to wait and see.

Shane made it safely to Syracuse, we are leaving in an hour to head up there...it is a 3 hour drive. DH reminded me to bring a clean shirt as last trip out I spilled my coffee down the front of me and we had to stop at Walmart for a shirt!!!

Betty dont mess around with that headache....glasses are NOT going to cause a pain in the back of the head. It would be up behind the eyes and temple area. Dr. Debbie knows.

Bev, you be VERY careful moving Scotty. Maybe you can take him over and forget to come back for him? Oooop that was bad...my bad...sorry!

Shirley & Tubby, have a good day....and I think your baking all these good rolls, cookies and cakes has put 10lbs on me!!!

I have the dishes soaking and then will wash the glasses I took out of the curio cabinet downstairs. It holds all of Tubby's Pepsi glass collection.

Linda Kay , glad Todd is handy and can do the repairs..so you've had no hot water! Love the hummers..got the new better homes and garden magazine yesterday and the are telling us to put out a birdbath, birdseed for the birds who are migrating north...wonder how long that hummer will take to be drinking on my deck? Laurie it's hard to keep surprise birthday parties a surprise..do have fun today and wish your dad a happy 70th. Is the party nearby or do you have traveling to do, if so make some stops so that your back doesn't ache.

I have a March swap to post on Monday. "spring" box, as it wasn't ready last week when I went to buffalo, i must get it in the mail asap so i will not be late..am pleased with it..but decided last minute to paint a special flower pot, one that can't be used. Lol. Decorative and whimsical...pot is done but body base not so off to Walmart I went to see what I could purchase that wouldn't cost a fortune re weight to post , came home empty handed so came up with an alternative and am hoping with having today and tomorrow to attempt it I'll get it done..

Did fill my bag with cough syrup, cough drops and neocitrin ..nothing like trying to do a craft project all doped up lol

Even though I wanted to tell Melanie to go home, wanted to go to bed, I sat up and we chatted, looked at garden books as she would like me to help her do gardens near her feature fireplace in back yard..she's always on the run but last night of all nights she could have talked until morning..

Trying to de die what is the right thing to do, have almost all the fun pieces of equipment to do scrap booking but did!t have the cuttlebug even though I'd been picking some of the pattern slates...2 weeks ago I called scraps of joy which is a few blocks from work and asked if the had one, no, but she could order one, I said ok and asked the price, she said $114.98 and it's the newer model and it would take 2 weeks to come in...at Walmart this morning they had one, looks the same for $60.00 so what to do, almost half the price of the other and for all I'd use it for it would be meet my needs but then I'd be leaving the scrapbook studio with the one I ordered?

Shirley, by now you've found a bunch of projects to work on???

Betty there is always a reason for a headache, they don't just show up because they want to. My step-dad's niece fell and had a migraine for 5 days after, on the 6th day her husband got home from work and found her on the sofa. Turns out when she fell she dislodged a blood clot and because she didn't go to the dr she had an annurism and died, at 43 years old. NOT SOMETHING TO PLAY AROUND WITH!

Oh poo, maybe Debbie's right and you could forget that he's there and leave him behind. Seems like they all deserve each other.

Well it's going to be about 73* today but no one said anything about any wind!! Oh well, going to go garden anyway, it's supposed to rain tomorrow.

73...omg Crissy what I wouldn't give to be sitting out taking in the sunshine..are you just working the ground for now or are you planting new plants? Did you ever get the brakes done on the ATF..might be a good day for a ride..

I just pressed send and got a call, Darlene had been talking to Rita, another friend and she just called, she's in midland, has homemade soup with her and bringing a timmies coffee for me, said I need mothering, lorry did you guys also give her a call? Lol

You know, I just remembered that my old next door neighbor that was a friend then just started using me and only calling me when she wanted something...well she sent me a text 2 weeks ago saying she was going to come over and get her plants that she left with me last weekend. Well Ms. Flake flaked, never text me again or anything else, but didn't hesitate to post on Facebook last Sunday that she got to spend Saturday with all of her friends, that says where I'm at in her world right there. Last Wednesday she text me telling me that she is buying the house that has supposedly been in escrow for about 3 months now, I said enough is enough so I deleted her text and I think that since I haven't heard from her since I'm going to plant her plants in my yard. It will make her mad but I don't think she's ever coming back to get her stuff, just keeps stringing me along like she does. What do you all think? I've had them since Friday, December 31st, 2010 and she was supposed to pick them up that following Monday and I still have them.

Think you are on the right track Stacey, tell her you had them all prepared for her picking them up and that they were looking a little sad so you planted them..not good to move them again so next spring if she comes you.'ll give her cuttings...likely hood she will be back in my opinion is next to zilch!

Well the dishes are done and the glasses washed and dried. Will take them down and put away and then vacum and dust a bit more. I have four sacks of corn to unload and gather eggs. I need to go and mail a pkg. off to the GD. I better take a couple of pkgs. of bread out to the chickens. They love it. I get this from the bread outlet for them and the dogs to mix with scraps. They think it's a treat.

That's terrible about the bus crash. Are the roads that bad? It's a bit cloudy here and some wind, but when I don't have to shovel it, it's okay. Tubby is awake now, will go see if I can get him something to eat. I doubt it.

Crissy, Betty is right. I don't think she is my kind of friend and I doubt that she'll be back. Besides if she does show up I let her know that since you weren't included in her group of friends and was just using you that you keep the plants for taking care of them. So much for that!

How many chicks do you have....do you know about 10 years ago when I lived o. The farm I showed a few of my chicks and goats and won ribbons...

We have 10 chickens and about 7 or 8 guiennes? I think that's how you spell it. I would really like to butcher these chickens and get some new, but I haven't made up my mind yet. I should sell the quiennes off as I can't let them run loose because of the dogs. The chickens I have for the eggs. We use to have alot more animals, but have gotten rid of most due to Tubby not well and too much to care for. I would love to raise a calf again, but the pasture fence isn't done and I've to spend alot for grain. We always made pets out of them knowing what was gonna happen in the end, but if they got out on us it was easy to call thier names and have them come. I can't imagine showing any of them. We did have pigmy goats for a while, and Tubby did have a pair of reg. goats that had twins. The one dog watched over them like they were his own. We had geese, variety of ducks and turkeys. It was alot of fun. We would love to watch the geese and ducks take their little ones to the ditch when it would rain and swim. People would park along the road and watch them.

Oh well, I better get back to work. I could write a book about our animals we've had.

Betty, Crissy is right about the blood clots. That is what took my Mothers life also. She slipped and fell, and two weeks later got a blood clot and she was gone from a massive brain anurism.

Temperature seems to be falling quickly, Rita visited and I brought me a shamrock plant,pretty white flowers, the Cathy dropped in and finally I'm alone sooo out comes heating blanket and a pillow...

This LindaKay, will have it checked out, had neocitrin and cleared a bit of the head, should really be going and getting the flower pot done but couch is just too comfy..wonder if the restaurant at the corner would deliver French fries...lol

Today was VERY productive and I am pooped! I got out there and planted the plants that I know what they are in my front flowerbed, like tulips and other miscellaneous bulbs, those poor things were sooo wet and sooo root bound they weren't going to make it, there's no way. When I was doing that David and his girlfriend he has living with him, Risa, left so since he told me I can go over and get whatever she left whenever I wanted, so I took it upon myself and went over and worked on the mess Diana left, and boy did she leave a mess. I found a full container of Miracle Grow Bloom Buster, and I brought over all the plants in pots that are starting to come up so I can see what they are, and dug up some daffodils since I have a blank spot in mine. I don't know if they'll notice I was back there or not, I'll tell them know later after I rest and have dinner. She left a slew of pots. I have the miscellaneous no id plants sitting by the back fence and gate, so if she calls and says, "I'm coming over!" (she never asks, always tells) I'll have quick access to David's back yard and will move them all back over there real fast.

LOL I thought I had posted that 2 hours ago! I came to the computer and there it was, still sitting on my desktop just waiting for me to click the send button!

Wow - Shirley & Betty - I don't know Anyone with farm animals... how educational that would have been to have raised with a farm nearby... Mom always told me she would fall in love with them .... then slaughter time would come.... she had 7 dogs when she passed....

They JUST started FFA at the highschool and youngest is into it...

OH - Guess what DH told me he heard on the Radio (maybe Crissy or someone can check this out)....."Three of the 5 Major Seed Producing Plants were located in Japan and destroyed in the Earthquake/Tsunami which will make Seeds very difficult to come by Next year".... Hmmmm interesting.....

Betty - thank you for asking about the TV shoot... if we had some time and a few drinks.... it might make for a pretty funny story... but end result... it all came out okay.... Whew ! LOL!

Deb reminded me... also heard that animals around the world were "up at 2am" when the Earthquake hit.... wonder about that one too....

I planted Lobelia, Verbena and some moss in the flagstone path today.... Lemon Basil to plant tomorrow... Perhaps the veggie garden as well.....

We are back home, and exhausted!!! Betty, bus accident was in The Bronx in New York City....horrible!! Thirteen people died and 6 critical injured last I heard.

No mall shopping, but did get "big foot" Shane some track shoes. I felt horrible he has been wearing a size 11 track show....from two years ago!! TOnight, he got a size 12.5!! He is goign to be 18 next week (24th) and he is still growing so much.

Competition was fun, but exhausted I am!! Lots of big schools this time, all across NY State. Our school didn't do as well as usual, but five of the kids still walked away with medals, and some kids received more than one. Shane won a Bronze medal in the Art catagory, and also one in the Music catagory.

We drove home in the rain.....and after leaving at 10:00 this morning, we got home at 9:15 tonight....tired!

So waving....and will be back probably in the morning. Will see how I feel after having some tea and honey!
