Sigh! I think you're right about Spring, marti. :(

Spring.. it was monsoon season and still is now, but warmer....

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

This thread has gone from starting with how cool it was in March to now how broiling hot it is is June. Mid-90s here today. Maybe by this weekend we'll get a bit of a break. At least we got a rain storm a few days ago. We really needed that with these kinds of temps. Weather gone crazy! :(

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

Well, today the huricane season officially started with Adrian.. not that Im in huricane alley, but the monsoon season in the midstates has not quit yet.

Thunderstorms due here today. right now thunder is moving in on us.

Watseka, IL(Zone 5a)

5 more days of rain predicted here....why bother putting up the pool when we can just run outside to take a shower!

Clarksville, TN(Zone 7a)

Same old, same old here ... 90+. :( Hopefully we will get another rain soon. It cools things off at least for a little while and takes a lot of the humidity out of the air. Not to mention the fact that I don't have to hand-water for a day or two. :)

Update on my grandson! They took him to his regular Doctor last Tuesday. The Doctor was not real concerned and said that he was sure the babysitter was upset and it was an accident. When my DIL asked him about his thoughts on returning the kid to this lady's care, he said he didn't think it was a bad idea, after all it was an accident and she would be more careful. Anyway Tuesday afternoon, Wed and Thurs, they drop him off at the babysitters and he cried and said he didn't want to go there, he wanted to go back to Patty's house. This morning when my DIL took him over to the babysitters, Elijah went crazy and started screaming and crying and would not let go of his mother and was calling for his dad. DIL took him back home and called the old babysitter, Pat,and had a long talk with her. She has agreed to take him back in her care even though she nolonger has a license. DIL's parents have agreed to foot the bill for a preschool for Elijah so that he's learning will continue to prepare him for kindergarden next year.

Yes, something definitely majorly wrong at that babysitter's for him to react that way. So glad they have found an alternative plan. ^_^

I wish I was there. I'd be having something to say about my GS caregivers. DIL's parents like to teach him to play games that are not approperate and when my son put his foot down about one of those games call, Slappy face, the FIL fell down and broke my GS collarbone. He tripped while carrying Elijah while Elijah tried to play slappy face with him. Instead of telling the boy "No" don't do that. He just tried to walk along a country road and keep his face away from the kid. Well, he tripped. Elijah got hurt and my son would not give me their phone # or address. He still will not give me the information and he hasn't given them the information to get ahold of me.
