I'm here. JB

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

I see Chatty Cathy made it.

She sure is quiet today. No, JB, I didn't see anything from admin. Where did you see all this stuff?

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Hey Girlfriend. Just paid my bills. Broke again. LOL...I hate when it comes and goes all on the same day. Oh well, such is life.

Back in February, we got notified that DG was on FB and they were adding something new. It is in the DavesGarden Forum under Adding Something New I think. Anyhow it has to do with those people who use FB so maybe you would not have gotten it since you are not on, but it is in the Forum, so it is news for everyone. I have never had any problems with Facebook. The security is good and I have so much security on my machine thebells and whistles go off when a bird flys over. One of the people who list thousands of items was complaining because everytime he looked up a plant, another vendors name appeared. Her name started with an A.....duh.......but Terry came to the rescue and explained the reason. Some people just can not stand to share fame and fortune ....those of us on this list do not compare with those Master Gardners that are online with all those plants. I personally do not have the time to keep adding plants to the Plant list. I only add when I get something that is not listed.

Later, I must get busy. jB

Hi Everybody, I had a good visit with my doctor - about three times as much time as Kaiser allots but we had a lot to cover. I told him about the magnesium oil from Sunfood.com which is clearing up sores I get on my arms that hurt and take forever to heal. All my tests are good - he is happy and I'm happy. He gave me shots in my left knee and right foot. Lots of medicine. And, thanks to discussion here, I asked him about a shingles immunization and got it 20 minutes later. How's that for service. I have to go back late this afternoon for a mammogram and then I can head for home.

I got two new tangerine trees which I have to put as out of sight as possible in the van and hope I don't get looked at too closely when crossing the border.

I hope to have a slow, uneventful trip home.

Everyone take care. It is definitely spring here in San Diego so it should keep moving north.

hugs, katie

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Good for you Katie, I sure hope you do not get caught crossing over the boarder. I got stopped one time coming home from a visit and I am very dark complected and look very Latin (not Mexican) at times. My smarty pants husband pretended he did not know me and when he realized they were serious about me being illegal, he then became an attorney again, and we were soon on our way. The jerk used to play nasty tricks on me and that was one I almost killed him for. Those years all you had for ID was a Social Security Card and that is all I had, plus a drivers license. LOL What a time I had. Where do you cross the border? I am so glad for you and your good health report. I hope some of that wears off on me next week when I have my appt. with my new cardiologist. If not, well we will go from there.
Be careful going home and keep in touch. Hugs. JB

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Good afternoon
well I managed to get the piles sorta cleaned up. now I am working on a tote beside the bed with mostly horticulture stuff. its tough to through away some of that stuff. I know I plan to hang onto the walters garden and terra nova catalogs. they are so awsome.
any of you out there been ferreting away those lovely silver eagles the us mint puts out every year???? well I just checked and silver is up to $34.00 an ounce. wow what a difference. I will be cashing in on some of my holdings. but I do plan to reinvest once the $$$ comes back down.

jb thats funny.... I know the border agents have no sense of humor at all.

Katie do you loose much in the way of conviscation at the boarder??? do they just take it away or do they ticket you too???

mulege, Mexico

The worst things that have ever happened at the border are: 1) had to give a border guard $20; or 2) got turned around and had to go back into Ca., pack better, maybe go to a different corssing or something. I often get pulled over to be checked but they usually let me go when they see bedding, clothes, stuffed animals for kids and books which are most of what I take over. I often give them a bag of cookies or candy after they have cleared me to go. Can be a pain in the neck but usually not too awful. I think men are more at risk for being thoroughly checked. Fourth of July last year was the worst they seemed to want to ruin the holiday for as many Americans as possible.

Anyway, I'll get my mammogram and a bag of cookies and see what happens.

hugs, katie

Quote from Pughbear7 :

Ok who wants double orange daylilies??? I am hopefull that I will be able to get them out the first couple of weeks in april. Please chime in even if the answer is no. the pic is of the flower. I am trying to do away with plants I will not be selling so that its mostly production.

Dave

I would like one or three. Whatever you might have to spare. Did you get a chance to read my d-mail. If not, please just look at the bottom of it, as it is really long....sorry!

Here is a new bloom for today...

Katie ~ I think CA is worse for bringing in citrus than MEX, but I could be wrong. That is one thing I miss having. If I had a warm GH, I would have dwarf citrus of all kinds. We can have apple trees here, though. When I lived in Southern CA when I was growing up we always had lemon trees and a huge avocado tree. I would like one of those, too, since avocados are expensive.

I am glad that you had a good checkup and thorough, too! Yes, it would be nice to have an uneventful trip....still I hope you can have some fun. Are you taking any pictures? Of the beach? Well, just be careful and take care or yourself.

I took this today, as the snow melted and this was underneath....

How much are the dl Dave? I may be interested? Do you take Pay Pal?

Rosamond, CA(Zone 8b)

Dave Oh my gosh I saw that story from OK about the miracle puppy that was Euthanized twice and survived. The second time he was hit in the heart with the needle. Still he lives. Now there are 100 applications for him. Yeah. Thank You Jesus for that one. Poor baby, he seems to love people and is a happy little guy. Can't imagine why after all that.

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

Well I am here but gone. I worked myself to death in the garden and I am leaving at 5:30am for the greenhouse out of town.

Jnette, I think what you think is a sidewalk is the edge of the raised bed. The hole was to connect from the irrigation valve to the raised bed and had to go under a very deep wall.

I hope to have everything in the mail next week. I have one worker coming Saturday to help me clean up the rehab. Should be interesting.

I will respond to above posts tomorrow. Evelyn, love your flowers. We were 73 today and 73 tomorrow and higher on Sunday. But 2 years ago we were 100 degrees the first week of April, so we shall see.

Later friends. Sharon.

Rosamond, CA(Zone 8b)

We are supposed to be in the 70's too for the next two days. Yippie. I am so jealous Sharon. From the minute I went in to work this morning, I just wanted to leave and be in the yard.

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

We are still below freezing at night and no higher than 30s during the day. I am having a hissy fit as usual. The sun only shines a few hours a day and the plants are getting yellow in the greenhouse from lack of sun. I hit them with fertilizer last week hoping that would help, but it did not seem to do anything. I am going to give them some Iron and fish emul. this week. I can not have them looking like that to ship.

Off to town. have lots to do today, plus lunch with the kids down the road. Talk later. Hope you are all well. JB

Miles City, MT(Zone 3b)

You can run but you can't hide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Can sure as hell try Lee. LOL

Man JB, your weather sounds like ours!! Below freezing at night and 30s during the day. BUT, ours is into the 40s during the day this next week (they promised!) LOL. Also a couple of nights actually above freezing coming up. Yeah right.

Going over to the Indidan Reservation today to start exercising again. Should have been doing it all winter but between my sister, Bob's and my appointments, we just couldn't seem to get together to go. Of course, now that spring is coming and we won't be able to find time we are starting to go again.

Got so much to do to get that TV hooked up. I want to paint that wall while we have things disrupted. Going to wash it first with TSP. I sure wish we could get that Greased Lightning concentrate here. We found it in the spray bottle, but I want to mix it with water for cleaning heavier than that. It really works good in the kitchen tho. One of the guys on another of the forums here told me about it.,

Gotta go take a shower, ttyl

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Katie I think of your crossings when I watch that tv show border wars. it said they look at vans, single people and men. I am sure they look at you when they don't run the xray across your van as it would show bodies in the van. Its nice that you give them cookies when they are done with you. I am sure its a welcome change from what usually happens to them. I know I would not be all that nice after sitting in line that long just to go across the line, but its that or just tear down the fence and let it flow. the sad part is the people short cutting the system just to work here.

We are in the spring rains pattern now but i am sure we will get one las snow storm. last night the news said they found a pile of snow left from the last snow/blizzard. we have gotten into the 80's a few days and for snow to still be here wow.

lee we try really hard to hide from you but for some reason you always know where we go??? how can that be??? lol

nice pics evelyn I live the iris. I am building up my collection of the water iris and japanese iris. I don't know why I have a fascination with them? it must be the huge flower. but I really don't like the bearded iris but I have seen a few I would not mind adding to the garden.

I am thinking about adding the creeping phlox to market place but i have to get pics 1st. what is a fair price for them?? at the moment I only have blue and pink. I have to redo the last bach because I didn't strip the bottom leaves and I think thats holding them upbut I really don't know if its just time or the skiped step??? I know the blue and pink took a bit of time and cold weather to get them going.

JB have you thought about adding lights to the greenhouse? some of the light would give you the right daylight all it would need is a timer. I run an incandescent bulb in the gh to keep the temp up a bit more than freezing. Kim thinks its a waste of energy but I don't as the plants inside show the difference with little to no cold damage.I

I am thinking of replacing the green house with a 20 x 24 gothic style with a double layer poly covered and inflate the two to make a pillow of air.
Its kind of a sad story but back when I was in hort school we had a bad snow storm and one of the local garden centers had their people go out and spray the snow down with water in an attempt to get it off the roof. It collapsed the sad part is all they had to do was unplug the fan that filled the two layers and the heat from inside would have melted it all away.

well thats about all the fun facts i have to share today. stay warm
dave

Miles City, MT(Zone 3b)

You all know the story of the bad penny It always shows up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

You know Dave, I have never used lights in the GH because I am never in there when it is dark , LOL, and I have two heaters, two fans, radio (plants love music), water, all I need is a couch and a stove and I can move in. Anyhow, lights just never came up. Do not know why. Maybe that would be good.

Memorials started to come in today for Doc and I am swamped with work. We have several thousand dollars already from only 14 people.
Each one must be individually answered, plus the family gets a letter and a list (not the amounts) of the names and addresses of contributors to the Memorial. The kids went to the viewing. I was not about to go. I want to remember him sitting here in the kitchen bitching and laughing as he did so many times when he wanted blood samples taken to Lynn's office or when he just wanted to hide. Coggins tests are required here in NJ for most horses, especially those being shipped in and out of different farms for breeding and racing, and the blood samples must be taken to the Dept. of Ag. for testing, so since Lynn went in everyday and he would drop the blood off here to be delivered to Trenton. We will miss him so much. The funeral is tomorrow. NO, I am not going. I am going to stay home and have a drink and light a candle for him. LOL.

It is warming up a bit, we are to have a partly sunny day again tomorrow and rain on Sunday.

Today my neighbor who owns Byrne Farmers Market, his two daughters who run it , one of the workers and I went in town to our favorite Italian restaurant for lunch. We ate Philly cheese steak sandwiches and broccoli and cheese strombolis. I doubt I will want dinner tonight. Oh my God it was good. The place was packed with servicemen from the base. This was the first Friday after payday for them.

I am weary and babysitting for the dogs tonight. Kids had a EMT dinner to go to, so I am going to sit and watch TV on a small compared to yours screen. I am not jealous, I think it is wonderful if you have space to have the big screens. The kids have one the play the Wii game on it too. Stupid darn games but they have fun laughing at me when I loose.

Enjoy your day. Hugs. JB

Pawleys Island, SC

Hi Everyone, just thought I would pop in and see how you all were doing. The trees here are blooming and it is gorgeous. I got out today and took Mom to the hospital for testing. Then we had lunch and just hid from all of the guys for a while. It was a great day, but now my right foot is screaming and I intend to eat cereal for dinner and then not move!

Dave, I would love to have some of your daylilies. I still have pollen in my freezer if you want to trade some this spring. As soon as the lantana puts out some leaves, I will start cuttings for you too. I understand about the piles Dave, Burk and I have that habit too. LOL I wonder what it is, but I know I need to get rid of lots of piles around here...

Lots of my perennials are coming out and I worry about it being too soon, but Mother nature knows when it is time I guess.

Sharon, I haven't had the oxalis taken up yet, but I will let you know as soon as I can.

Did anyone else want cuttings or plants from me? Just let me know. I have all kinds to share.

JB, I have lots of epi cuttings that broke off when my son took them out of the greenhouse. I am saving them for you. If you want some of the camellias to try too, just let me know.

Jnette, I thought I had lost the clock vine you sent me, but the other day I saw that it had some new growth! I am so happy!

Some of my tiny plumeria seedlings are beginning to break dormancy too.

Gotta run, I just thought I would say hi., Linda

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Well you all sound pretty laid back tonight. Sorry about your friend JB. Not fun.

Bob, my sister and I went to the Res. and got some exercising in, Had lunch at the little sandwich bar there, then went into the little bit bigger town and got some molding and other things so we are ready to start the project of working on the wall where I want too put the new TV. A good weekend project.

Wow, see we are going to be in the mid 40s all next week and even right at freezing one night. All the rest are below.

Well, going to just relax a bit tonight. Made Faglioli for dinner last night and some French bread that really turned out good. I was very pleased with it. Anyway, there was enough left over for tonight. So, that is easy.

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Linda we crossposted. I would love to have some Lantana cuttings. If I get them early enough this time, they might be real nice plants this summer.

I realize how hard it is to see how everything is blooming and so nice and all you can do is look at it and not get out and work with the plants. But don't push it. It just isn't worth having it break loose again. They say 6 weeks for bones to mend. And I think that is push it.

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

Linda ~ Is your oxalis a hardy one or to be taken inside during winter? I love all kinds of oxalis. Do you know the species of it? Thanks! We are glad that you are having nice weather. We are all ready for it too!

Today was better. It was 26° last night and 48° today, not quite as warm as yesterday, but relatively speaking, it is getting warmer. The rain has washed almost all of the snow away and now we can see all the branches down from the windy snowstorm a couple of weeks ago. It has taken that long for it to melt, but it probably wouldn't have except we just recently got a warmer storm with lots of rain. More on Sunday. Steve has been cutting the big branches and especially the biggest one that might have been a lot worse as it fell and just damaged the side of the roof a bit. I am glad to see it finally down as it was half-broken off and partially down...

JB & Jeanette - It's about time you got some sunny weather. Maybe a sunlamp would work on your plants and you too...LOL!! I get depressed when it stays cold and cloudy a lot. Keep up your spirits. Dave might be right about the light in the greenhouse. Then you could keep your plants company and read in there...or whatever...

Here is a picture of our new drapes. I think they are a bit fancy to go with the logs but the color is nice.

Thumbnail by evelyn_inthegarden
Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

Jeanette ~ Oops! I did not mean to step on you. Are you OK?

I wish I could put some lantana in the new "Hot Bed" for Steve but it gives me a rash, so I had better not give it a try. It would just be an annual here anyway. In Southern CA they grow into huge shrubs. That is how I discovered my allergy to it, as I pruned one back so I could access an area to plant my veggies. They veggies did so well in that sheltered area-side yard. That was in Santa Monica. (Many years ago..)

So do you put them in hanging baskets? Or grow them in pots for your deck?

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Evelyn, I like your drapes. They go fine with the logs. I would like to get some drapes for my livingroom. With these big windows and just open at night I don't like to sit out here by myself. Kinda dumb I know. There is no one out there but it would even help with the heat I am sure.

I put the Lantana in containers on my deck. Yes, it is like an annual here too but if I had a greenhouse I would take cuttings and restart them each year. I read that with most plants that is the way to get the better plants rather than holding the main plant over. I did that with my brugs last year. Last fall I tossed the roots out after taking cuttings. I sent both Dave and Dawn cuttings about 2 feet long, out of the top of the plant. Branches. So, they should bloom quite early for them, depending on the weather, fertilizer and water. An experiment for me and very interesting.

Rosamond, CA(Zone 8b)

I am going to start putting them out on my shady porch in the day in about 5 or 6 weeks I hope, maybe sooner and bring them in in the night.
I will take a picture. The one is a monster and the other, is alright.

I must have missed something big Who Is Doc JB?

Oh don't be haters. We are supposed to be 80 tomorrow, it was in the 70s today. Sunday and Monday it is supposed to rain again and cool a bit again.

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Dawn if you are having that kind of weather why are you waiting so long to put them out?

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

Pughbear7 wrote:

Evelyn: how is it my weather is nicer than yours and I am 2 zones colder than you???? just a thought to ponder ...

Sorry, Dave ~ I don't make the rules! The zones are minimum temps, right? It doesn't account for storms during late winter or early spring, like last year. Our minimum temp for zone 8 is 10°, right? It doesn't say when that temp is going to be?? Usually our temps are not lower than 15°. Right now it has been warming up and the snow is melting and revealing all the broken and downed trees. Oh, what a mess we have to clean up! The night before last it was 25°, and the night before last it was 40°, and then it warmed up to 50°! Today, however was cooler. So definitely a warming trend. Maybe...just maybe we will have a warm spring. As this last storm was warm and washed away most of the snow, this next one is supposed to be warm as well. Now we just need a bit of drier weather in between the storms...like about a month...LOL!! As I said before - we are all waiting for SPRING!

Rosamond, CA(Zone 8b)

Because our weather is Scizzo here. All the way through June here. It can be 100 one day and 35 in the nights and one week it can snow in the day and be 20deg. in the night. Our poor plants are always in a perpetual state of confusion.

Dave is the news in your area talking a lot about the poor dog that they tried to Euthanize in the heart and it was up running around the next day all happy, after 2 attempts to kill it? I just cried. It is so sad. I hope this dog gets the perfect home till the day it dies after a long life.

I went to the 99C only store and bought a bunch of plastic pots for my petunias and got a bunch of crap to ward off my gophers and stuff for the soil. I am going to be out in it till the afternoon when I have to do something until late. Ho hum. I bought flower seeds there too.

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Morning, sun is shining and it may get to 60 deg. today. Then BOOM, down it goes again and we will be having several inches of rain and wind. That is it for now. Anymore may put me over the edge. LOL
Then again, this is a good day because
I SAW A ROBIN TODAY. I MADE IT THROUGH THE WINTER AND I AM EXCITED.
Will get back to you all later. Hope you are all going to have a great day.JB

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Well, Dawn has high and then low temps, JB has a beautiful day going but then might get wind and rain, and all I get is the white stuff. Yep, it snowed again last night. This is the time of year when it snows just a little bit at night, just enough to make it nice and clean, cover up all the nasty stuff out there.

It will do this now about a couple of weeks, or more, before the snow is finally gone. I would be surprised if we get any more big snows.

Well, gotta have my coffee before I get busy cleaning and painting in here. ttyl,

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Not much going on here. I try not to watch the news much excet for the weather and then its hit and miss.that is a sad story though.
Good thing to see birds of spring JB. we have had quite a few especially the cardinals.

Linda I would like some cuttings of the camilea's that are hardy here. I am trying to get some of the more exzodic plants that are hardy here.

more later
Dave

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Dave, I would love to have some of your cardinals if you can figure out how to catch them and ship them. : ) I remember them, are they the red ones? from a trip I took to Indiana. One of the ladies invited me out to see her house. They had built a lovely log home with decks on 2 levels. We went out on one and there were red cardinals flying all around. Jumping thru the branches of the trees.

They are just like our Blue Jays only red. About the same size too.

mulege, Mexico

I'm home safe and the dogs qare all really glad to see me. Lots of unpacking to do sop I'll get back later. The trip was kind of strange but no major problems.

hugs, katie

Sierra Foothills, CA(Zone 8a)

Katie ~ After you rest and settle in, I am sure we would all like to hear about your adventure to and from CA.

Today I saw the geese flying north. Does that mean it is spring already? They were awesome, and of course, I did not have my camera with me. I heard them first, and then looked up. They were so very high in the sky.

It was about 60° and breezy. A new storm is approaching, but it is supposed to be a warm one again. We worked outside today cutting up branches and cleaning up the area around the house. We got about 5% done! Also I sowed some seeds in one of the square foot gardens....
Cimmaron Lettuce
Red Sails Lettuce
Red Grendbloise Lettuce
Summer Purple Broccoli
Violetta Italia Cauliflower

Almost all of the snow has melted. there are just a few patches here and there. Jeanette, I wish that you snow would melt now, too? When does it usually melt? (And stop snowing?)

Steve is getting dinner ready and I will be sowing some more seeds and putting them outside on the shelves on the back porch. I guess you could call them wintersowed, but it is almost spring. I have an area downstairs in the bathroom counter, which Steve made for me to sow the seeds when it is too cold out, or in the evening. Last year we had late snowstorms. I do not know what this year will bring.

Does anyone here grow veggies from seed? I know Dave grows some. What are you growing this year? Someone sent me some true potato seeds. Has anyone even heard of seeds from potatoes - not "seed potatoes", which are just small tubers. These are tiny seeds, even smaller than tomato seeds.

I must go now. Have a nice warm evening everyone. And welcome home, Katie!

P.S. Does anyone have anything in bloom yet? I have only a few things. Violets, hellebore, primrose, violas, and a few crocus scattered about. This poor crocus had been smashed by the snow, but I think it actually was finished blooming as it bloomed before the latest storm...

Thumbnail by evelyn_inthegarden
Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

I have blue scabosa, daff's, pansies, viola's and I saw some other color from the dining room tonight so I will have to investigat. the scabosa turned out to be evergreen here for me and its getting huge. oh yea I have some spirea and forsythia also flowering.
Dave

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Morning Glorys, The Robins and Blackbirds are the only signs of Spring here. Nothing is blooming except the pussy willow. I took cuttings of the regular pussy willow today. I would love to have some pink ones but I forget who said they had them to send me some.

The weather today is nasty but warmer than usual. It is in the 50s but the storms are to arrive with heavy rains and wind tonight. That is just great. I hate night storms because then I do not know what is blowing away until morning. LOL.....

Jen, are the temperatures warming up in your area? Day and Nighttime....please give me an idea. I have several things to ship to CA and Missouri and Wisconsin and I am holding off until my night time temps are above freezing, but the way this weather is popping up to fast and some areas are really getting cold and snow now also. I am at a loss to know what to do.

Wednesday is my day with the new cardiologist and I think I have made a decision. I am going to listen to what she says and then depending, I am finished being a guinea pig and I am not taking anymore tests. I feel great with the exception of the anxiety of the unknown of what they are looking for and how they want to find it. I have no aches and pains related to the heart. I am not out of breath, my BP is borderline but meds take care of that and my cholesterol is 180 and falling, so, I am finished. I will take my meds but I am finished with these tests. If I drop dead. So be it. I have had a good life and intend to enjoy it up to the last minute. One day at a time. So there. When it is your time to go, no test is going to keep you here. In most of the cases I find the cure is worse than the problem. My new lease on life begins today. I am back in control and I intend to stay there.

I am glad Katie that your trip was good and you were not picked up for smuggling plants.

Evelyn is the broccoli really purple? Sounds neat. I love broccoli.
The rest of you hello and I hope your day is warm and sunny. HA! They had those awful tornadoes again in the South. So scary.

Be back later. Must get some work done.J B

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

Well, JB, just a little over a year ago I stopped taking all my meds except the ones for my anxiety and depression. I take two extra strength Tylenol when I go to bed because I work my body hard and when I go to bed I feel like I have been run over by a truck but in thr morning I am back in good shape.

I have great cholesterol and my blood pressure went down.

I do use my inhaler if I start getting my cough back but since I stopped using vermiculite, I really have not had a problem.

I had one worker for yesterday. And I chose the one I wanted. We got a lot accomplished and about three more days I will be able to sit back and enjoy.

Suppose to be beautiful today and Monday. Mid 70s and then back down to low 60s with high winds on Tuesday and Wednesday. I am planting my tomatoes tomorrow.

There is a web site just for us oldies. Sorry, I know there are some youngsters on here. It was established by Google for children to send to their older parents to help them with the internet and computer. Address is TeachParentsTech.org. Try it out and see what you think. There are several tasks I am not really up to par on and I am going to visit the site later today. The mention was in the AARP newspaper.

I am way behind in posts so forgive my briefness. Have a great day. I am going to put the house back together today and cook. Sharon.

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

I'm game Sharon. I'll take a look.

So far this week they say we will have 2 nights right at 32 degrees but the rest are below, and all the highs are mid to high 40s, That report is for you JB.

Evelyn, I only start tomatoes and peppers from seed in the vegetable group. I don't plant any other vegetables. Don't have a place for them. The potato seeds sound very interesting. Let me know how they do.

JB, you are right on with your attitude about your health. If I could say the same about mine, I would say the same thing you are. I would love to be in as good a health as you are. So, I'm absolutely with you all the way.

Well, the realtor is driving me crazy with an offer on Bob's mom's place with her demands to EMAIL the offers back and forth after he signs them. I used to do it on the last printer I had, but have not dealt with this HP printer that much to be able to do it at the drop of the hat like she wants me to. Actually, HP did not include user manuals with this model I am finding out. I found it on line and now know why. It is 165 pages which would take a half a ream of paper and almost a full ink cartridge. Just think how much they saved by not including it.

Paperless society I guess. Anyway, it would take my whole day just figuring it out. I am not going to do it. He will take it to the bank tomorrow and have them fax it to her.

Gotta get busy, ttyl
