The last few weeks I have been inundated with ads for seed starter kits. Before I spend any money, I'd appreciate the advice of those that have either enjoyed or feel they have been ripped off. Thanks for taking the time and effort to respond.
Seed starter kits
Depending on what the seed starter kits contain, you can have a good deal or a rip off.
I like (and have decades of experience) the black plastic trays with the inserts of 6 cells each. They have a clear lid that I remove as soon as the plants emerge. The image is part of my set up for tomatoes and peppers. I have regular shop lights that I can raise as the plants grow and I will repot into individual containers (plastic party cups) probably next week. As soon as I get them potted up, they get put into bins that I can carry outside to my sheltered porch during the day. Since I give away my heirloom plants, I pot them individually so folks can try one of something they have never grown.
