That's very sad about the woman swept away. There was an Amish family washed away in a flash flood last week that was sad too.
I'm feeling guilty about not getting out there with the liquid fence. The deer will just have to trim until Saturday. By the time I get home it's too late.
Nice day today but the wind is cold. I always associate March with winds. It would seem that we are gradually getting warmer, but Thursday is supposed to be cold again.
Weather in your garden # 90
CRAP!!!
I'm being an optimist by convincing myself that 24 degrees is right over my house!
Oh, that's very depressing.
Glad to see it's in the 50's in Orlando.....Garret & family going in another week.....kids will all probably get sick!
Not too promising!
Got a big chunk of my to-do list done before being too tired to continue after 2:00, so we went to the best nursery. It was closed, and then we went to another, it was closed too. Went to the farm, but they had only a few house plants and I was hunting for beach plum bushes. Frustrating. Island living.
We finished up cleaning up the south woods that is mostly cedar and scrub oaks. Then we moved a big pile of stones and did the preliminary work on some new stone stairs. We cut the hill side to accommodate them and laid them all out. Looks great, but i am going to leave the final work for DH as he likes doing stone paths and does it well. He comes back tomorrow from his skiing trip to VT. He got in 25 runs at Okemo so he was happy.
It was sunny and blustery today in the mid 30s. But we had a steady North wind of over 15 mph with some big gusts up around 40 mph. Tomorrow it is suppose to be warmer. Hope there is less wind. That takes its toll.
Here is a partial shot of some of the pruning that I have been doing with my helper pal from Brooklyn. There is more not in this shot. We will be adding lots more tomorrow, if my body can move. We will start to burn on Thurs if the wind lays down. Patti
Looks nice Patti, and I agree, the wind wears you down.
Pixie62560, It really does, but notice that we have no snow. So sorry for you all that do. Patti
Looks like your going to have a nice bon-fire!! Don't forget the marshmellows!!!!

Don't like that map Victor
Saw that map the day before yesterday.
... I wonder who makes those maps. (lol!)
37° here feels like 27° with a Southwest wind at 13 mph, humidity up to 78% and we have mostly cloudy skies here on this Wednesday morning!
Going up to 48° here today with mostly sunny and windy conditions, tonight's low will be 15°,
- with a windchill of 1°
32 now... going to 50 today
27 going up to 39 today...i'll believe it when I see it!
Good morning. 30 degrees here and supposed to reach 45. Yesterday the wind spoiled everything and was very cold. Well, I guess that's a relative statement. The wind is definitely not as cold as it has been. I wore no head covering. The sun is glorious! I'm watching those daffodils and crocuses every day. No robins but the birds are singing. Maybe there will be a spring after all.
Sunny and 37. Nice day before the big chill.
34* and snow showers.ugggg
36° sunny & quite windy oh for more snow melt.
Good morning.
Currently 30 degrees and partly sunny in WNY. Some light snow expected for later today.
Have a blessed and wonderful Wednesday, folks.
-Dave

48 and sunny. We're to get more rain Sat. We don't need anymore for now! The ground is saturated with all the snow melt.
Sunny and breezy again...not looking foward to cold weather tomorrow I was getting used to the warmer temps
It's 50° right now
45 and sunny, little wind. Went to a walk with the wonder pooch "shaggy2dope" (my son named her years ago), she trees squirrels, chipmonks and knows how to sing(also crazy ad is on two different doggie psych drugs!) I found a bunch of DL's that i didn't get into the ground last fall. laying on top of the yard, sprouting....
Snow showers and sunny periods. Wind gusting to 35 mph.
Temps ahd been droppng since mid morning.Down 8 degrees since 10 o'clock.
We are due for a very cold night, single digits.
Pixie, love it. Hope you get a big melt. We are at 44 now,but very windy.
I am done for the day. Cleared a mess more around my new stairs. Moved tons of dirt to new beds and did a bunch of pruning. Then I managed on getting a huge hematoma in the middle of my forehead. The wind caught the front door and slam it back into my face when I was going out to the car to go to the airport to pick up my DH. Instead, I am on the couch with an ice pack on my head and and feeling a little dopey. I sent my pal to pick him up. I bet I get a nasty black eye. Pretty. Doesn't hurt now, but It sent me to my knees. Patti
Enjoy it while it lasts!
It's a blizzard out there now....I opened my mouth too soon!!!!!!!!!!
Ugh, sounds like a pretty hard impact! Feel better Patti!
49°, at our high for the day so far.
hope the head does not hurt too bad patti
Oh, so sorry Patti!!!! Hope you don't get a black eye...but in the mean time think up a good story just in case :)
Oh, sorry, Patti. I responded to Celeste before and did not read your post. Feel better! Ice it well.
I am feeling horrible today. The cols turned into a nasty sinus infection. Can hardly touch the left side of my face at all. Did not sleep much. Started a z-pack.
Sorry Victor, same thing happened to Brian back in Dec. Then it was pneumonia is Feb. I can hardly wait for April :(
feel better Patti & Victor... so sorry Celeste
Thanks. Hope the weather improves, Celeste.
