Sorry y'all, my internet went kapoot after I posted and didn't come back up until I was at work, so I had to work and now I'm back, and hopefully my internet at home will keep working! I need help, just to say. I called my mom to complain about men in general and she told me "I hate Dave because he's a lazy s.o.b. and he needs to quit milking the unemployment system because I'm tired of paying for his lazy ass, you'd be better off if he would get a shovel and shovel snow out of your neighbors yards. This is why his first wife left him, because he's lazy and refused to work and you should leave him to. He's nothing but a s.o.b. and I don't like him."

I want to know where she gets her information because he's too hyper to be lazy and when he was married the first time he made $120k a year working for Fitjusu and Compaq. He cleans everything, cooks all of my meals, built a veggie garden and maintains it, takes care of the full acre of land, all I know is I'm never calling her again to complain about anything, this takes me back to my childhood with the anger I had to listen to all the time and my goodness!

Yeah Sue! I remember that!! It didn't bother me that much, just took me back to my childhood when she would call me a selfish a**hole all the time. I just bit my tongue and got off the phone as fast as I could. What do you do, ya know? Dave bought me chocolates for Valentine's Day but I don't want to get into them yet cause I haven't had a chance to get him anything yet because of the stupid snow.

Crissy my dad my entire growing up was so nasty and I spent most of my life in my room crying..........until I was about 16,then I stood eye to eye with him and told him to flip off...(not in that nice language ) and from then on I felt better about myself.Today I love him,because he is my father,But NO ONE EVER SAID THAT I HAD TO " LIKE " HIM !!!!!!
And if people don't give respect ,they don't deserve to get it back .........blood or not !!!!

Synda, when I was living in Breaux Bridge, La., I used to drive to Stokes Tropicals for all my hedychiums.
They put out catalogs too, and if you like tropicals, that's the place to get fertilizers for bananas and gingers.

Congrats Linda Kay......It's so much fun to win something!!

Rick and I had a great day together, we went Frig shopping....we talk soooooooooo much more when we are on the road. The sun was shining and just nice...got lost a couple of times,we are such country hicks and God help us when we go to the City.After we got the Frig we went to see Tracy,God love her she is sooooo swelled from the steroids they have her on for the swelling of her brain. But I couldn't miss a chance to see and hug and kiss her when we were so close.It's a 3 hour drive one way to just get to Columbus from here.We left here about 10:30 am and didn't get home until about 9:30 or 10:00 pm.
And boy is my butt is tuckered out !!!!!

Here is the Frig we got,NOT at Lowes,at an appliance place,but Lowes carries it for $1399 and we got it for $ 899.

Happy New Year, Happy Birthday to those that have had a birthday since I was last on here
I may not be here much but I do keep y'all in my thoughts and prayers.
AFS has been keeping me busy that's for sure and work well work is work and even with a new boss it hasn't changed much for the good in fact it maybe the other way...the only good thing is I am now 8 hrs so that means a lil bit bigger check every month.
Everyone is doing fine family wise...I think I have DH convinced to do along the lines of raised beds for the garden this year except we will do them in the ground instead of boxes.

I've been playing with my embroidery machine since my folks were here in Jan and decided to try my hand at making a real quilt more or less
I found embroidered quilt square patterns with pansies on them which my mom loves ( yes this will be for her) and decided to use those as the main part of the queen size quilt. So I have 6 patterns I have used and made 8 of each pattern so far.

Now comes my decision on what to use as as the other material to use as far as colors and maybe find some material with pansies on it.

What do y'all think????
I know there are some wonderful quilters in here and some great minds along with them ...input please!!!

I would love to have it done so I could send it to her for her birthday the beginning of April but I know unless I find someone to quilt it once I have the top put together that won't happen as I am not well versed in how to get that part done with just a sewing machine LOL

Well, as far as that quilt goes, you can use the back fabric and cut it about 2 - 4 inches larger than the blocks you have, and do it quilt as you go, or if you do regular quilting style, you can always tie it! It is going to be o pretty, and with the purple in the pansies, I would say a pretty purple fabric would be nice!
There are some pretty pansy fabric's out there. Let me go look, and I will post links here in a bit.

Frig is in the house.Had to take the doors off of it to get it in the house...LOL.Our old one was a regular 18 CU.FT and the new one is 25 CU.FT. French Doors and Bottom Freezer.Big difference !!!! LOVE IT,LOVE IT,LOVE IT !!!!!! All my appliances are black and black and chrome,down to the toaster,deep fryer,coffee pot,tea kettle......you get the point......LOL.My cupboards and woodwork are stained a driftwood grey and my theme is GRAPES.so my bright accent colors are maroon,purple and green.And the floor is oak.Now to get new counter tops.Maybe next weekend.

ebay has lots of pansies...
I think I would make the back with pansies, and the front sashing with a light lavender or dark purple! There are so many ways you could do this one.
