We have been getting rain and will be for awhile. The Sierras and down as low as 2000 ft have been getting lots of snow. I'm getting bcak into somw swaps. First is the windchime swap.

Got my $50 Gift Certificate today from Stokes Tropical ! I can't believe I won !!!!!!

The irony of life...someone that is my friend ( or I thought ),here on Dave's and on FB and just in life in general is angry at me ( won't talk to me )..........Because 1. We got the new Frig and they want one, 2. Because I won't split the Stokes Gift Certificate with them, ( their words ), I am kinda speechless......Jealousy and greed is a very black hole and will consume you !!

Well I have joined the Pot Holder Swap......I have never made a Pot Holder or anything in that line so it should be interesting and Fun !!!!!

There's a Bob Evans at MB, we wanted to try it out. But when Kel saw the line of septagenarians, he thought the food might be bland!!!

Did any of you watch Top Chef last night? One of my favorites, Angelo, got axed for salty food. Anyway, I believe he was set up by his so called 'buddy'.
The thing about salty food... if you noticed.. why do the tv chefs always have to layer their food with salt?? And we've been warned to avoid salty food for our health!!

LK, I hear you on the exercising! Take the steroid shots since they work for you.
You'll get exercise enough when you start working regularly in your garden.

I've had my share of disappointments with some DGers too.
There was one that truly made me critical of myself.
She kinda disappeared and knowing she had marital issues, Kel called the cops in her hometown to seek info about her. I had been worried that her husband might have physically harmed her and her kids. My concern turned into a humiliating diatribe. She d-mailed a mutual friend upset that I should go looking for her :(

She had disappeared for a long time, and knowing she had marital issues, Kel called the cops in her hometown trying to locate her when all mails and calls went unanswered.
I was worried that she or the kids might be physically harmed.
Instead, she reacted angrily and dmailed a mutual friend to tell others not to look for her. I did apologise when she finally returned to DG.
Up to now, I'm still treated like a pariah. But the satisfaction is knowing she's unharmed and very much alive.

Jaye I haven't been able to keep up here, but I'm glad you're doing good on the eating thing. All those things in your list are the things we don't eat. With the exception of alcohol. :)) Can't give up everything now. Even been using the smoker and making our own sausage and smoked turkey. No nitrates. It all tastes like food is supposed to taste.

Oh well, back to the daily grind. Actually had to work today and now I'm pooped.

LK gave some thought to that potholder swap. I think I could have managed that much sewing, but I was afraid to join with all you experts. :0)

My ex who's a Christian called me up just 2 days ago, because that's what his doctors told him. He has very poor circulation in his legs due to his heart valve.
Ex was worried that he might be doing something wrong if he started 'imbibing'.
This is MY opinion. In the bible, Jesus made wine out of water.
He didn't make grape juice, appear. He made .. yes.. I repeat.. wine.
I'll treat my wine as medicinal biblical juice ;)

insulbrite is an insulation that goes into pot holders, it reflects the heat, so your hands don't burn. That and the batting makes a potholder.

Well since I was on earlier We had a Delicious pork roast for dinner,had a car wreck in front of our house (2 -18 year old boys hit a deer) thank God no one was hurt,I guess not even the deer cause it kept running.....probably went off and died in the field somewhere,and got a phone call about my 1:34 pm post....to which I was not so gracefully rip a new one.But over all it's been a great night.........LOL.

Judy you'll have to go to Maggie's for the beer ,mine is one Twisted Ice Tea and 4 Peach Margaritas ,but I'll share any and all ,oh yeah and behind the Almond milk is the Patron Silver Tequila .......LOL.
