To add my 2 cents. I turned 67 in January. My mother would be 107 if she were alive and my dad would be 116. My mother was 89 when she passed and my dad was 72. I think we all mellow with age just like a good wine. I cherish my relationships with all my friends who seem to matter more now than in the past. It doesnt matter if we've actually met in person I just like people. (and my gardens too)!
Coffee Break #53 Endless Winter
6A It is a book by the late Lord Mountbattens grandson who survived the explosion on the grandfather's boat which killed his twin.
In the past I have bought British iris & other gardening books. Hatchards is a good store if you wish one of those.
Interesting, Lucy. I remember when that happened. I believe it was in county Sligo, where my former electrician was from.

Thank you for sharing, I'm a bit of an anglophile so I would find that interesting, as well.
(A sibling's Ph.D. dissertation was on Disraeli.)
Jeepers, she looks young !!!
We should look as good!
My Mom has always had a great mop of hair! I think that helps.....when my son was standing near the window yesterday, I noticed how gray his hair is getting....my husband had the gene, was totally gray by 40......
My grandfather was totally bald by 24.
I was totally bald at birth!!
Not even fuzz?
Maybe a little.
That was my little Elvis. He's more blonde now in summer, brownish in winter.
Too cute, Victor!
She so DOES NOT look 96, wow! What's her secret?
no kidding.. she looks great!!!
She looks great Robin! Should I live that long, I should be so lucky to look that good!
We all want her secret!! She looks very vibrant.
Yes, she really does!
I would have guessed her age as 63, or there-abouts.
If she has a "magic formula" for her longevity, please share!
Got my wife a heated fleece blanket (she's always cold) and a pair of heart earrings. (This is where all of you say awwwwww!!)
AWWWWWWWWWWW
Got DH chinese food because he's been sick....coughed so hard he cracked a rib and pulled a n_t. There will be no rolling in the sheets tonight.
Ouch! Really?? Hope he feels better.
Thanks Victor, it's been a long few days for him and not much sleep on my part......the couch sucks!
Thank you for the comments about Mom....her secret is genetics.....her mother's family was all very long-lived, except for my Mom's youngest brother who died in his 70's. She does eat healthy, never smoked, and always had a happy attitude.....not too much ever bothered her, which is why I sort of grew up like Topsy......I take after my Dad's side of the family! Victor, I'm sure your wife will love her presents, & that photo of you is too cute! Pixie, hope Brian is feeling better soon......nothing more annoying than a cough!
Awww, Victor how sweet
That must have been one hard cough, Celeste
Has anyone heard from "Dahlianut" lately?
Or am I just out of the info loop?
She pops in now and again
thank you...always liked her individualized writing style!
Anyone see the meteor?? Was seen in PA, NJ, LI & CT.
Too busy working on his Valentine's Day dinner, Victor. He gave me Godiva, cards and a huge bouquet of flowers so I'm making him a special dessert.
Very nice, Jack of Hearts!
You bet! We get to treat each other to lobster rolls in Maine next week!
Nice.
Happy Valentines Day everyone!
I finally took photos of my drawings. They're better than the previous photos, but not as good as I'd like. Sorry about the big copyright and all... I had to. Here's just a simple spoon exercize.
Marilyn, your mom looks great! May we all live so long and healthy.
Arlene, enjoy your evening!
Celeste: OUCH! Hope Brian recovers soon.
