Looking back on OJ's life, thinking of when he was at the height of popularity and someone people admired, then seeing how he fell is amazing. There he sits in jail with so much time to think about how he messed up his own life by his own bad choices. It's a shame for his children as well.

I seriously doubt he thinks much at all, or ever did.
He certainly will never take responsability for the death of Ron Goldman.

Bret Farve (sp) is another example of privilaged thinking. Same for all the other sports stars and Charlie Sheene. He will kill himself before long.

"Privilaged thinking" describes some large patterns of bad behavior, across many cultures, and many an era.

That Pentagon guy died from blunt-force trauma, according to the ME.

I think the pentagon guy was beaten and robbed wandered around in a bad neighborhood, and then killed and dumped. That looks personal to me. They took the time to put him in a dumpster.
Most robberies just shoot and leave.
I must watch too much TV.
Thats the way I see it. It will be months until we find out what really happened, if ever.

Thanks, folks......it's still a little puffy, and I couldn't drink from a bottle of soda (shouldn't have, anyway!) but it feels better than it did this morning......continued knocking off icicles with a shovel, tried to shovel off the porch roof, but no luck......photo of a house collapse near here has me worried....the owners are in Florida, won't they be surprised when they get home!

Be careful out there, Marilyn! Those icicles can be like daggers when they fall! I must say I do have some concerns about our house in NH, but we do have someone we pay to keep an eye on things. Fingers are staying crossed. We have no heat on in the house, so that keeps the snow on the roof from turning into ice. I think they have had much less snow than my son in Conn. has had, according to my friend there today.

With regard to your injured lip: 20+ years ago, I resumed the habit of drinking with straws, both at home and ALWAYS in restaurants.

Guys should not feel effiminate for using them, they control bacteria levels and leave the lips "neater" between sips and nibbles.

Don't consider it wasteful, since I re-use home straws indefinately (after rinsing) for water-based beverages, which is 90% of what I drink at home (water, diet soda, and diet powder drinks, like Crystal Light).

Like on TV's "Frasier" (a great series!), I prefer the "bendy" straws.
