Seems it was downhill after 30 for me! That's when my aches and pains started. Never had back pain until then - especially when I got the house (33). Never had the neurotic stuff, thankfully. Approaching 50 now, I'd rather be 35-ish. Halfway to 100 and closer to 65 than 35 is a bit tough to grasp! However, I don't lose sleep over it.
Coffee Break #52 - JETS!!!
Good attitude. Attitude is half the battle.
When I told my doctor I was retiring from teaching, he said "And the next big thing in your life is you're dead." Cheery fellow. Maybe I bought more time by subbing! Age 50 was my worst....bitten by a tick, triggered psoriatic arthritis, had to be on prednisone for years.....off most meds now, & the joints only really hurt if I do something foolish....like weed for 3 or 4 hours straight!
Hmmmmm is that so bad?
I often complain about retirement. The winters are horiffic, not enough to do thats meaningful.
Summers are fantastic, busy! busy! busy!
Optimist: Today is the first day of the rest of your life.
Pessimist: Today you are one day closer to dying.
for sure
I just mark off the box that says undecided in those cases.
Work up with a migraine....I HATE that.
30 was good but things started to slow down
I HATED 40... gotta a few more years till 50 so we'll see...anything has to be better than the last almost 2yrs.
Getting older is way better than the alternative!!
That's Jack's mantra, Victor.
60 and forward has been the best.
Everything I read says 55-ish and over are the happiest years for most. Responsibilities done!
can you send me those articles victor?
No. I was lying just to make the older folks feel good. ^_^
i knew that :)
Some guys have all the luck.

Poor deprived wife!
Little do you know how much truth there is in what you said Victor.
I am glad I am just a tadd cynicle. I dont give a flying for any sad news story. There isnt a single news event that moves me to unload my bank account for anyone.
There also isnt anything new.Including the starved wife in Germany.
Jo, I know very little about anything I say. ^_^
That was a weird story! And am I happier now then when I had to get up at 6 & work every day, followed by cooking, cleaning, gardening, etc.? You bet!
Victor! give yourself time and you will know everything.
I'm much happier emotionally and financially (almost) now than I was at 40 but physically I'm not...back problems crept in much sooner than I would have wanted...am contemplating a microdiscectomy in 2 weeks...I may back out!
Still a mess in front of my house, seems now they can't find the leak but it sure smells! I hope we don't have to leave, who the heck will take in 2 Great Danes and a smelly bulldog! LOL I can see both my DILs faces now!
Poor, Guy...
Ronnie, hope you don't have to evacuate
Supposed to get my stitches out tomorrow but with this weather, it seems doubtful. Might have to remove them with my teeth. Can floss at the same time!
I like a Multi-tasker.
Talk about multi-tasking! You're taking it to the highest level, Victor.
ge - same thought!
Actually I hope someone takes a video.
Wonder if Miss Confetti Dancer will remove the stitches...
WOW Pirl. Thats a quick thinking on your feet idea.
Victor isn't shy about posting some of his secret fantasies.
Good idea!!
WOW my Bestnest Trellises came. I think that was 4 days or less.
Installing today?? ^_^
12v drill that's what I have, if I need more 'umph' I use the B&W electric, what I need now is a table top drill press, probably by end of August. ( -taking it's turn on my wish list, lol!)
Victor ! Not today either.
Its too snowy. SIL might have to cut one leg off because they go on a slope.
Its driving me nuts to wait for March.
I had staples, not stitches for my hip......thank God there were only a few....they hurt coming out! But I'm sure you're braver than I, Victor.....
Lots of staples in the back of my head for the Trigeminal Neuralgia operation and never felt a thing when they were removed 10 days later.
Roads look good enough for me to still go - after I put the second one on the bus.
I am surprised they made them go at all
Back. Stitches out. Things are looking good. Saw the photos form the surgery. I thought the lighting and composition could have been better. ^_^
The roads are clear, Allison. I'm sure that's why. Also - they have already used up all the alloted days so from now on they start losing vacation days.
