I had the row of blocks on the left side, and the two blocks on the right.....just did the ones in the center...still need to do some more filling in...but at least now I am "on the way" !!

Shirley lol things just break hun. I was hoping it was something a tad more simple than that. Blah! Glad you're home safe and sound and don't you catch a cold! There are plenty of them going around right now!

It's official, I broke the Bluetooth on my computer, I think I fried the adapter. OOPS!! I have it all wired up for now and it works better than it ever has LOL Go figure!

Crissy - I remember now you are mechanically inclined... I'll have to remember when something breaks. The window on my Tahoe won't come down... (Drivers side). My sis is like you & made me turn off engine and turn back on. That worked one time she was in the car with me and never since LOL.....

Shirley - Hope you feel better gal.... Good call cutting the cold off at the pass. I have wondered if folks like Zicam....

Betty - I believe our gal Judy is suffering from the WB's. "Winter Blues". Judy is John Hancock a particular building? what does your hubby do ?

Judy - I get the WB's as well. Sometimes I think they should just erase January off the calendar. I mean it doesn't even have the Superbowl anymore ! So why even have January ?

We had a particularly Rough Beating this morning. I mean Meeting. Our Boss had given us all an 11 page article to read. She asked... "Who read it?". A couple of girls mentioned a few things. So she had one girl read a paragraph on Page 7. In the paragraph.... she had had someone type "Call 555-4702 and leave a message". (Her phone number) Get it? No message = no one had read the packet.

Funny huh !?

I'll check back in a bit... I'm so excited that I am mailing my book to Thunder tomorrow !

Hi everyone - done losted ya all!!
Betty emailed me saying peeps were missing me (well, Betty & Mary, anway LOL LOL LOL)
Sorry I've been MIA - Thursday I found out we had a "viewing" to come on Saturday so got crazy-busy with cleaning, then to Choir Practice (redid our duet, my DH & I), then more cleaning.
Saturday baking for Robbie Burns Night - had a harpist, Celtic Choir, Bag Piper who "piped in the Haggis" then speeches by our resident Burn's speaker, then A Toast To The Lassies, and I did a "reply to the Toast to the Lassies" and roasted the Laddies LOL
Our choir sang 6 Scottish songs as well. A good feast and a good time was had by all.
Oh, and the offer on our trailer was "garbage" so we turned it down and countered - they didn't come back accepting the counter, so "their loss" LOL. On the plus side, we found out that the City is not going to move the trailer park - they "lost" the land they wanted to move us to. IF they ever move us, it won't be at least until 2018! By then we'll be out of the park. The price of the trailers will go back up again, too, apparently. Good, eh?

Anyway - job's going great - had a meeting with the Exec Director and Director, and they love my idea to make my job more productive (give the receptionists more work, and take reception duty Away From Me!!, etc, etc, etc), and get me a blackberry so I can get more emailing "on the fly".... etc, etc, etc.
Anyway - it's a good match for us, so I'm happy. I'm being enabled to "do away with things I shouldn't be doing". ^_^

AND, I won't be delivering the Church newsletter - just create it and print it, which is a HUGE relief to me!!

Crissy, you broke your computer, and now it is working? Don't understand the bluetooth yet?
Shirley, hope your not getting the crud? Seems like everyone is getting it! Keep taking your zicam, and get lots of rest.
Thunder, that quilt is going to be so nice! Can't wait to see it finished.
Susan, your get together at the church sounded really nice! Did you make your pie suckers for pie day?

Mary, years ago, when I was in 8th grade, the teacher pulled a surprise quiz on us, and she told us to make sure you read it all before you answer any of the questions. Well, most of us just went down the list and started answering questions, and when we got to the last question, it said stop at #1! We all failed that test!

Betty, were you were busy with Noah today? Hope your not sick again with another headache!

Hey LK ! Very funny ... seems like I remember a teacher doing something similar.... Well... Good thing I just hung my head down and didn't pretend to have read the article !... She knows we willl be reading anything she gives us from now on ! how's your weather? We've had a cold weekend but not too bad compared with our northern neighbors.....

Yes, Crissy - I made the "pie on a stick" cuz I couldn't find the white sticks....... so I used the flat ones like you get on popsicles.... So, Crissy - not gonna move to AZ if, as Jaye says, it's Hurricane Alley, but sure hope to sell our trailer, soon!!

Oh, and it looks like our trailer park Won't be moving - the City lost the land that the old administration wanted to move us to. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay!! IF we move, it would be 2018 at least, and likely not even then!!!! The offer we got on our place on Sat was awful, so we turned it down, and now our agent says the prices will likely go up cuz the park's not moving yaaaaaaaaaay again!!

Morning all, want to stay here and chat but it will have to wait..read all your posts though and DO have comments but will have to wait until either Paul fixes my computer (Crissy broke mine as well) at work - no internet, don't know how I accessed it yesterday for the few seconds I posted but did..anyway let's hope it's not a major deal or I'll hear about it!
Not a lot of patience my boss (BIL) has...

Did go to the doctors and he said my problems were twofold, that yes I do have the flu but not the regular flu, the one that causes extreme migraines , chills, the feeling that every bone in your body has been broken (yep that's exactly how I feel) said other than bedrest and lots of liquid, telling the world to leave you alone not much can be done..

As for the problems with my legs prior to this flu he gave me antiinflamatory (?) drug which will take me to 6 week mark..pill once a day and said after that if it works I'll not be able to continue because of my kidneys and we'll have to go insearch of another med not so strong.

We went back in time and I've been his patient for 36 years..had he had time to check my file he was going to see exactly how many times I'd visited him..lol..not many he said! It was nice having a visit with him, he was much calmer and not on the run at the night clinic..should find out when he's there again to book further appts..

Greg/Mel called last night, apparently all their telephone calls are included..said he felt like the rich and famous in the suite the were given..they had just come up from a b.b.q. on the beach for about 300..sure are enjoying the lap of luxury and the sunshine..said it was hot enough not to use the pool but used the ocean to swim...now that was a Christmas gift from his boss, bet he'll be wondering if he gets the same next year..lol

Well, got to clean up, get a lunch ready for Noah and get him ready for school before I leave...

It was a day off school yesterday for him so he went out about 2 to the outdoor rink and didn't come in until I came home..made supper and had to wake him and after he ate he asked if I minded if he went to bed .. 7:35..wow, even beat grandma ..

Tonight I'll get him t.v. bingo cards as well as those for Ann and I..

Yes LK, I uninstalled the driver that was messing it up and the bluetooth still doesn't work but I don't care, the computer works better than it ever has! LOL I always fix my own computer, that's why I bought the degree, right? So I can fix my own computer and never get paid for it??? LOL LOL LOL!!!

Well I am among the living but just barely. I feel like a Mac truck ran over my whole body. I've been on the couch since 4:30 this AM. I finally had to take some pain pills and a Naproxsen to get past some of the aches. The sun is shining but I can't tell ya it helps, but does look nice. Tubby is sitting up in the recliner. I had to bring it back up from the family room this AM for him. He was so restless in bed, I was up every 10 min. trying to get him comfortable. I'm gonna lay down for a bit more and then I'll get up and get a few things done.
Okay I know Oklahoma is tornado alley, but never heard of Arizonia being hurricane alley. I thought the hurricanes pretty much stay at the coast line, or is there something I am missing?

LOL Shirley you're not missing anything. From the eastern Rockies on East is tornado alley, until you get to the northeastern states but they still get tornadoes up there.

Okay I'm still among the living. I just ground the roast & veggies up and so we are having hash. We neither one have to chew. LOL We are old and so the easy way out is the best.
The GD is on the plane. She arrives a little after 7, she'll stay the night with the olderst girl and I think they are all coming out tommorow afternoon. I didn't get anything accomplished, just to tired and don't care. There's nothing that won't wait.

What did I learn today?
Well, learned more about what's happening with our trailer park - NUFFIN', and that's the way I like it!
I also learned we can increase our "asking' price for it, and others are doing the same. One couple increased their asking from $25k to $65k!!
Well, I also learned I'm Really Glad we turned down the offer we got on Saturday lol
Of course I also learned that as of March 18th the amortization period for mortgages will go from 35 years to 30 years..... hmmmmm wonder if that will affect the pre-approved mortgage we got a month and 1/2 ago? Probably not. At least not if we can sell our trailer and buy a house before March 18th......

OMG Crissy, I'm so sorry to hear about Tiga..Dave should have perhaps waited until you got home to tell you! Can just imagine the state you'd be in to drive..do hope you made it home without any mishap...know Tiga was like your child, my heart goes out to you both, hugs my friend!

No internet..Paul worked on my computer about 1/2 the day, now we've a call into Jeff, let's hope Jeff over the weekend can make it to Barrie and see what he can find..Paul's quite good with computers so it must be nasty whatever it is..sure makes for a long day.

Shirley, starting to think I've pass my 'bug' onto you..exactly how I was feeling, like someone took a baseball bat to all my bones and broke them. So glad your grandaughter will be with you tomorrow-what a godsend.

Ann was over for t.v. bingo tonight, Noah played as well..no winnings but Noah did get down to 1...tomorrow night I must get him to hockey practice at 8:30...bit late for me and not fond of being in the cold arena but got to do what you got to do.

Must go take my meds..not used to taking anything and just remembered..

Thanks for the coffee, it is 29 here this morning, pretty cold for us! Just a light frost on everytning. So glad I moved the plants inside last night!

So many questions

This is what is keeping me so busy today Betty...
It's January and that is sort and put away all the paperwork from 2010 and set up some files for 2011. I have a new program for the computer in which I scan the bill, put in the payment info (ck#, amt, date, etc) and then save it to a stick. Each month I save a copy of the bill and the payment info and then shred the paper. No more file cabinet used for bills. Of course there are some things I must keep as paper but I'm trying to scan as much as possible and eliminate as much as possible...Right now I'm taking a short break for more coffee and then I'll get it finished up for another year.....I know if I stay here much longer I won't finish it.......

Barb no need for a file cabinet . Then there is more room for fabric.
Now we are calling for snow not sure we get it but still raining. Hopeing the temps do not drop to freezing.

thanks for the comments on my quilt, yes I make many of them two sided !! usually have a few blocks left over from front side, and pieces of fabrics used in quilt block making...piece them altogether for back side.......

this one is a bit more "complicated" than most of others I have done.....but it is the last one I will do for this son (while he is still living in my home) he goes into the Navy in May.....I want it to be very special.....

Not much snow here Betty. When it soes snow, it is usually a few inches, but is melted by noon!

I'm glad Dave called me when he did, I would have been furious if I got home from work thinking everything was ok when it most certainly was not. I actually wish he would have called when she lost her balance and equilibrium and went lethargic but you never know, she's done this before, which makes me wonder and think Dave is right in thinking she's been having strokes for a long time now. I need to call the vet but I just don't have the heart yet. I am doing better though, we cleaned out all of her food, medicine, and litter box yesterday after I got home, I guess that's the appropriate time to do that, and I came to work today, started not to but thought that getting out amongst others was a better idea than sitting at home crying all day over it, I can't change it but Saturday I am going to work on her grave and get it ready for a memorial garden even though it's in a horrible place for that, wish he would have waited to dig her grave until I got home. Oh Well! I just went downstairs and got some coffee and started chatting with people and I realized that I am going to be fine, it's just the shock of the whole thing.

So I cried my contacts foggy yesterday, let them soak in solution overnight and now they're foggy again and I forgot to bring my glasses! Why are they foggy?
