(((Babe and Breenie))) Drop in and let us know how it's going...
We went Thursday to the funeral home to make the final arrangements for my Mother. We had been there in 2002 to make the tentative plans, but at that time they thought they wanted to be cremated. Now they don't. Anyway, we had a good time there in 2002. Talking about the music, and remembering past times. This time was a whole other story....I didn't handle it well, and neither did my DM. Anyway, it just made it all so real for me. It's really expensive to get put in the ground, too.....even going conservative it will be around $8,000. That's without the stone. Sigh....Sure am glad that's behind us though. DM said she and Dad both slept better knowing that it's taken care of. They put me on their bank account as well, so that takes some burden off Dad. He's not been real good at remembering lately, so if it gets to the point that Mother can't handle it, I'll take it over for them.
Had a really cool garden club meeting the other day. It was "Perennials that Pop" by Bob Iiames. Gosh he had some glorious pictures to share. He has about 15 hellebores and they're great big bunches. He lives in Englewood and I told him that I was going to pop up to his house to see them when they're in bloom. He told me I'm welcome and to come around the middle of March cause they're at their peak then.
I got online and looked at what they were offering at Hosta College. Sure hope I have enough money to attend this year.
Hope you're all staying warm and enjoying your Saturday.
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Chat with friends..
How is the phone working out Joyce? No problems I hope......Looking forward to some candy soon.

The phone is fine, thank you very much, Barb! It doesn't hold a charge long, but I just charge it every night and it's good for the next day. What would I do without you?
Linda Kay - I know they say not to use extension cords with them, but Tubby never got the power hooked back up to the last building that is close to the pond. I use a very heavy one and once I replace the end it will only be used on power tools outside. I may run in this afternoon as to wait. I will check into the rock swap, thanks.
I have a question, what does it mean when it says the message was edit? Does somebody read over the message before it goes on the thread? Tubby wasn't sure. Just curious.
Well, I better get back to work and get something accomplished even if it wrong. Chat later.
When it says the message was edited, sometime we make a typing mistake, so we go back to correct it!
Bev, so glad to popped into say hello! Hang in there girl, we are all with you, and here when you need us!
Betty - we're feeling better - not enough to go to voice lessons today, nor "undecorate" the church's Christmas tree, or deliver the newsletters.......
Speaking of the Newsletters - it's like a tempest in a teapot about them:
I'd printed 400 complete ones, and 200 of the one side before running out of ink.
Margaret (a friend from church) picked them up and said she'd get the rest photocopied. She went to Bible Study first, and the lady who proofread them on Monday before I printed took another look and found what she thought were more errors, so she decided they couldn't be delivered that way, and was going to have someone else do the reprinting after I fixed the errors (yes, I still had 2010 instead of 2011.....).
However, the church secretary decided to tell someone that the Newsletters were Not going to be delivered at all, because of "errors" and then started the feud......... One person is thinking of quitting the Board, and others are unhappy that I'm being "picked on". I don't see it that way, just that "Perfect is the Enemy of Good" and they're making Way Too Much of this. Others agree with me, and tell me the newsletter looks Just Fine.
After all, we're not a government agency, nor will we be legally liable for errors - my goodness, it's a Church, For God's Sake! As Christians we should be more understanding.
Being sick as I was on Thursday (and still, somewhat), I just didn't have the heart to argue (as I shouldn't - again, this being church business..........). I just wish that people who had nothing to do with the creation of it wouldn't get so involved in it.
As they say "too many cooks spoil the broth"..............
Well, even though some may give up on our little newsletter, I shall not - when March comes around and we're to make the next quarterly paper, I will be there again, helping out.
Thanks for letting me vent.............. *siiiiiiiiiiigh*
Well hello there everyone, love your p.j.'s and nighties, think I'll join you all!
Put 1st set of jewelery intot he kiln and Darlene managed to take them home as they had cooled enough for her to do so..Danie joined us and she got quite creative, did 3, funky guitar, tie and a musical key, at least I think that's what it is..did a few glass pendant holders but decided I think I want to get out that glass saw and make some circular ones..lordy goodness know's what you'll get in the mail, just chalk whatever it is up to a learning experience for me..lol..just know you'll be shaking your heads!
Bev, as always look at that photo..guess if I got out of my car to take photo's it would be better than sitting the camera on the dash and pressing 'take' lol..so love seeing them...is it Scotty getting you down?
Hope you are taking care of yourself though and doing what doctor says.
Was that photo Bev taken in your yard?
Barb, sounds as though you and Norm are spending a lot of quality time together, I soooo envious! Can't wait to see your project, couldn't you share what you've got done up until now..might get Laura and the rest of us excited to sew/sew/sew...
Laura did you win the soccer game?
LindaKay, don't you love it when you just know what needs to be done and yet they'll argue a blue streak that it's not right! So what goodies did you buy that you should not have seeing as you had extra shopping time? lol
Shirley, it's like decoupage, if you've time you could try the decoupage medium, give the printed side of the photocopy of a print you like 2 or 3 coats..once completely dry, get a dish out that will hold the photo and ever so gently with your finger, rub/rub/rub ... rub almost like you are afraid to wreck the photo..every once in awhile you have to change water as the water and paper turn to pulp..think the original medium was at michael's and it was called picture perfect, something like that, they may be able to help you..anyway when you are done you'll have just the ink skin, I paint the surface of the rock so that it will enhance the photo you will attach....let me know and we can go through it step by step...
LindaKay hit it on the nail Shirley, I sometimes forget to say hello to someone or shortly after pressing send I think 'should have added' so you press edit just below your screen name and it opens the post up so you can change or add..great feature I think!
Susan that is so ridiculous, omg, no one I'm sure would have noticed the 2010 seeing as it takes us 1/2 the year to remember 2011..no wonder it all started a war..what a waste of time and money for ink especially when you weren't well..drats you can even purchase a newspaper and find error if you are bound to do so..and these are church people right? compasionate and caring??? hmmm
Joyce, prayers that you have a job come spring and can attend the course you want..sounds as though you are getting involved heavily with the group..nice to see, we'll learn from what you learn..as for the funeral arrangements, sure would have made things easier for me when Roger died had they previously been looked after...that being said, I really should look into it..have the tombstone on his grave alread with my name, just waiting for me to leave the earth, haven't decided about cremation or reg. burial, should think about it more and let family know my wishes, because we are prepared doesn't mean it will happen tomorrow..am sure your mom plans to be with you for many more years..
Got a stew on, decided to put the bread machine on..not sure it will be ok because the yeast date expiered Aug 2010..thought I'd try it though..Danie she's make bread but is gone to pick up her 3 teenage boys and it would be too late by then..
I'm usuall very quiet on weekends so will have to have patience, perhaps they can play downstairs and I upstairs, if I find I'm out of my league I'll just head to bed to read! Know she needs time with her children..sure hope things work out for her and hubby, but more things happen and further apart they get.
Better go check on the kiln and my stew..wouldn't want to overfire kiln and burn my stew not would I?
Gab after
Thanks for the info on edit. They say you're never to old to learn. I'm taking a short break from cleaning. I did get the pics. hung. They only got leveled by my eyeball and Tubby says that it's not very level some times LOL.
I will check into the decoupage sometime. It's another thing to put on list when I get to Omaha. I did the rocks carried in. I'll wait to wash them when I know I'm gonna paint.
Bev I'm sorry to hear you are having a bad time of it. If there's anything we can do to help let us know. You can always bend any of our ears. We all care, when one hurts we all hurt. Bev that was a lovely picture of the trees and snow. We haven't got any yet, but they say it's coming tomorrow. It's not windy either, this is the calm before the storm I guess.
I have a recipe for 5hr. stew. Once you mix it together and put it in oven you don't open it up for 5hrs. and it is done. Smells good and taste delicious. I can smell the stew now and the bread will be scumptious with it, now any homemade butter to go with that bread? One year my siblings and us made homemade butter to have with the meal. Only three of them got to turn the cream before we had butter. It was alot of fun and sure tasted good. I wish all kids had a chance to do that. It sure brought back a lot of good memories for us all. It's just hard to get your hands on cream that has not been pasturized.
Susan - I understand how furstrating that would be. Our newspaper here has 20 some proofreaders and they still make mistake. The average person that would have noticed 2010 would have just laughed and remembered how many times they make the same mistake. Some people have nothing better to do with their time but stir the pot and complain. I feel sorry for them. They usually don't want to do any of the work just babout someone else.
How's all the colds doing? I hope the Vicks is helping. Laura maybe you need to boil a pot of water and a little Vicks in it and place your head over the pot with a towel over all and breathe the steam in. Just a thought.
I think I better have a snack and get back to work, check in later.
Susan some people are not happy unless they are complaining. Sad but true.
This rock decoupage sound like fun. I have no rocks but when we go camping can pick some up and maybe do something crafty .
Snowed a little then stopped. But cold.
Thank you for your compassion re: editing our Church newsletter - some of the people in our church Are compassionate, but others are, as they say, anal about these things. I think they carried it a bit too far...................
Decoupage, eh? Well, I have a lot of rocks in my house (not all of them in my head LOL)
Oh Bev, love the pictures. You should have a life size cardinal to place in the last photo, I can see one sitting there in my mind. It would be perfect. A little bunny in the third one and lights on the first one. I love it when the trees are full of frost and it's hanging and the sun is hitting it. I always think I'm gonna go get my camera, but never do. I'll just have to keep the photo in my mind.
Bev. those photos are beautiful!
Shirley, that stew and bread sure sounds good! I remember making butter from the fresh cows milk from Grandpa's farm! YUM!!!
Time for bed, been quite the day, used to being on my own, now there are 3 teens here, enjoying their company..Danie will stay up and play games with them and she mentioned seeing it would be late would it be ok for them to spend the night..soooo house FULL to capacity..lol
Bev, you so missed your calling, not 1 photograph you've ever shown hasn't been professionaly taken..amazing to say the list..did you ever do anything about making packages of 8 or 10 as cards and sell them?
Shirley - Would LOVE the stew recipe !
Betty - THREE TEENS! A page out of my book...however my 3 teens are rarely here... what with their work schedules and all...
Hope you all have a good night...
HUGS,
Mary
Bev oh my gosh the pictures are beautiful.
Betty 3 teens. Hope you can enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Shirley stew smells great.
Coffee is on.
Love all your pictures, Bev, but the very first one you posted is my favorite!
Betty, she's not planning on being here for years....that's why it was so hard....she's hoping that she'll be here for months. :o(
Oh Joyce, guess you just have to put yourself in her place and think about what you would want, how you would want to spend the last of your days after having such a good life, am sure you'd come up with the same decision..she's planning on months but it's in the Lord's hand and he may have other plans for her!
Boys were excellent, I dozed off and about 2:30am I could hear them laughing while watching a movie, they are home schooled, usually tought late afternoon/early evening so it's nothing for them to be up most of the night...
Imagine it will be a quiet day as they'll sleep/sleep/sleep..lol
Trying to decide if I want to take a quick run to Walmart..Darlene said they had flannel sheets on sale..want to cut one up that has design that will blend in with all the rag quilt blocks I have in a box from leftovers ..
Made a stew for 20...now I have to figure out what to do with it..hmmm guess I won't have to cook for the rest of the week although Danie made a menu for the week, says she wants to spoil me..no thanks, spoilt enough..guess she just wants to thank me for letting her stay here for a bit..
Coffee's calling, cakes on as well, take a piece won't you...
Morning Everyone!
The snow is falling, we gon't about an inch so far, but they say 8 - 10 by Tuesday. If it's not the best we won't go in for dialysis. Have to think of safety first.
Tubby and I are watching a western, him with his Pepsi and me with my coffee.
Here's the receipe:
Five Hour Oven Stew:
1 1/2lbs boneless stew meat (or round): cut in 1 inch cubes - I use a roast as is much cheaper and better quality of meat
5 med.potatoes, pared and cut into eights - I just cube them
2 cups - cut up carrots in to chunks
1 cup = coarsely chopped onion
2 - 14 1/2 oz. cans stewed tomatoes - I use homemade
2 Tbsp. quick cooking tapioca
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
Combine all iingredients in large bowl, mix gently but well. Turn into a 3qt. casserole, cover. Bake at 275 degrees for 5hrs. Let stand 5 min. before serving.Makes 8 servings.
If using canned tomatoes, I rinse the cans with water and add and also add a little extra tapioca. I like plenty of juice. It freezes well also.
Hope you enjoy. Let me know what you think.
I started to organize all my jewelry yesterday. I've been wanting to do that for a long time. I took an old medicine cabinet and added some holders that you would hang towels on a one time. They will swing out and then I have foam sheets hanging from them and can see all of the earrings. It'll be nice when done. I have over 700 pairs. I'm a collector.
Well, there's not much going on here. Will check in on you all later. Have a great day, prayers and hugs to all.
Shirely
700 pairs of earrings????? I guess you ARE a collector!! That's amazing. I can't imagine wearing a different pair every day for two years!!!!
The stew sounds good. We are to get snow on Wed so may try it then....Thank you for the recipe.
Betty, I imagine having people in the house is going to take some getting used to. Especially teens. No matter how well behaved they are, it's a different lifestyle than what you have been living. I hope it works for you....
Norm is off today so we are going out riding while we can still afford the gas!!1 I love to ride in the country when there is snow on the ground. It gives me a whole different perspective.
Waving to all ~~~~~hope your day is wonderful.
Shirley, thanks for the stew recipe, won't make it today with all the leftover stew I have but certainly will try it! Now that's a lot of earings, I thought I was doing ok with maybe 40 prs..lol..who knows with trying all the different types of glass I might end up with a lot more..most I'msure will go in the garbage..got a few glass holders in the kiln in purple..what I forgot to ask is you frame arm large at the point of the glasses or thin wired frames? so much info needed to do a little project for you all..lol
Barb just filled up after leaving Walmart, got to tell you I sure enjoyed the fill ups in USA vs. Canadian..we are paying about $4.75 right now per usa gallon...not good..takes me about 1 1/2 fillups per week. Enjoy your ride though, nothing like taking the road when it's sunshine and tunes are playing..just don't do like me and end up in Florida, well, maybe it would be ok..Thunder's home now and you could stop of at Joyce's and give her a hug......
Didn't get the flannet sheeting, look too thin and cheap so guess I'll have to visit a fabric shop, if I weren't so lazy (or) tired of driving think I'd go to Cookstown today, it's about 1 1/4 drive..being quiet also is tempting me , we'll see what the day brings.
Danie is already up, see she has the leftovers from the turkey sitting out, guess she's making supper..
Barb you are right, with Rose it was just her and she was off on weekends, with Danie, she'll be here all day and weekends and having the boys I guess most weekends...I know it's only until spring so hopefully I'll have enough patience seeing things not in order like I have them or things on the counter..yikes, a BIG change in the way I live..
But, the $$$'s she's given me for rent will let me spoil myself..
Gab later
You tell me what a package costs + shipping and I'll get send down to you before mailing..excited that you are following through..Danie was on her computer and she showed me a lovely photo, so I told her that I had a friend who was absolutely amazing with her photography, she said you should be encouraged i.e. calendars/notes..she also takes amazing photo's so she can appreciate..once the boys have their breakfast I'll bring her down and show her the ones you posted..
Too funny, she said her boys were intimidated about coming here yesterday, wasn't sure what type of OLD grannie I was, was I one that wanted the entire house quiet??? anyway, by nightime they gave me a seal of approval, think I added to it when I bought a dozen of Tim Hortons donuts when I was out..lol
From what I understand she will pick the boys up 4 days a week at noon and bring them here for their studies, would imagine she'd have them back home by the time I get back from work..if so, would work out fine..changes, always changes..let's hope I can move with the flow..
Betty - Youa are amazing. Hope all works out for you, it will take patience when you are not used to having someone around all the time. God bless ya.
The snow has stopped for now. If we don't get anymore then this it would be great.
Chat later, gonna go get some things done.
Good morning everyone!
Been MIA again but work is finally slowing down.
I don't have time right now to read the posts that I've missed, or some of them anyway, but I'll try to read up some a little later.
I'm looking for a new car: Honda Civic EX Coupe with a manual transmission, and I've learned that they don't make manual transmissions for the EX for the Gulf Coast States. I can order one but it takes 3 months to get it in. Dave wants me to have a salesmen find me one, I'd like to just order the thing, but I'm also wanting to say that if Honda doesn't want to make them for this area then they don't want my business, and I'll go buy a Scion.
It's supposed to snow today!!! Like 3-6 inches!!! I'm so excited, this could shut everything down for getting to work tomorrow!!!
THE DOG ATE MY NEW SOCK! Yes, she chewed a hole in the top of one of the new socks I bought that have a no-skid bottom. I like to wear socks around the house in the winter instead of shoes and these were perfect. She just seems to have a "thing" about toes and socks. Loves to lick them both.
Very, very cold outside today and I have to go out to the fabric store to get some fabrics for my swaps and the fat-quarters for Quilt Club tomorrow night. At least the sun is out and the car will warm up on the drive. Just have to get up the "umpf" to get up and put coat and heavy boots on and GO!
Okay Janice - sounds like homework to me!!!!!! The dog ate it!!!!! I never did try that one in school!!
Crissy, excited about the vehicle you will be getting, how old is the one you now have?? I'm sure Debbie as am I can see you in and out of traffic shifting like a pro racer..who makes Scion's?
Snow? had to go back and see that the post I was reading was yours; you don't often get snow do you? always amazes me which states I think do but I think they don't and those that don't and I think they so..lol..really thought that Barb and Laura would have as much as here, as for Janice and Tracey, yes know they are in upper states and must get much the same..good luck with your snowday tomorrow, I'm wishing for the same but not calling for snow just frigid weather.
Danie and the boys just got home, one thing they brought all the totes to the back for me...managed to get the vacuuming done, floors washed and some dusting, got to tell you, regardless how many times you do same, kitties and doggie leave mega hair behind..where the dust comes from I never know!
Barb Ann was here visiting a few minutes ago, they go to Princess Marg's on Tuesday for a series of tests and also for possibly a final consultation as to if they can continue chemo so she's very worried..she was telling me a tear jerker story..her friend from painting in Toronto who is very what shall we say, not cold, just keeps within herself lost her only son, a doctor at the age of 41, she never confided in anyone just Ann..she was telling Ann that it upset her that people at the funeral would give her a hug, said they were invading her space..well I guess Ann just prior to Christmas sent her an e-mail, guess it wasn't one of Ann's best days; Ann never heard from her and Ann thought perhaps telling her of her feelings might have given her friend a brush off..anyway, Friday Ann was having another bad day, her and Mike went for a walk and there was a card saying a parcel was waiting for her, not knowing who it could possibly be from Ann left to pick it up..Here her friend made her a 'hug' rag quilt, wrote Ann a wonderful note saying she was never a emotional person, would never think of giving a hug or offering one but she could feel Ann's pain and for that moment wanted to hug Ann so she went and made a quilt using her son's old clothing, her mom's, hers, cottons, silks and all done in the 'around the world' pattern and hoped when Ann put it over her she'd feel a zillion hugs...she said she finally felt what other people had shown her, that the only way they could offer support was via a hug and for the first time was sorry she hadn't given more!!!! A touching story for sure..
Called mom, lordy lordy...MRI shows that one knee is completely gone, the other well on it's way, she's losing weight, now she's seeing someone for TMG, her doctor wants her to have her stomach x-rayed..says there is nothing to be happy or smile about, told her to look outside, see something in a cloud? a tree? someone passing by? see what she has, wonderful hubby, home, cottage, dog etc.etc. and that somewhere there she should focus on the best..doubt it made any difference, sure didn't say 'wonderful children' lol that would have put an end to seeing something filled with sunshine!
Wish I could go fabric hunting with you Barb..need some flannel..doggie still a puppy, they just love chewing on socks and shoes don't they.
Barb, how was your ride with Norm? Ann said thank you for the card, yet amazed at your kindness..told her I keep you informed..says she'll take time now that Christmas is over and Mike's doctor appt. behind them to e-mail you.
going to Dianne's for supper tonight, sooo best I go wash up, get dressed, have lunch and enjoy reading for an hour or so ..leaving here around 4pm.
Betty, it so amazes me that your mom is the way she is, considering the way you are! You must have gotten her share of compassion since it seems to have skipped her! (Hope that didn't offend you....)
LOL no didn't offend me in the least, my mom is a caring individual, just that she never is happy..wonder how that happens..I so thank the Lord that I can see beauty out in the world even when it's at it's darkest..a blessing for sure! If only she could see how very blessed she is..wants for nothing, never has but to her it's so little. Maybe the trick is you have to take time to look around you, always someone who would love to be where you are..isn't that the truth?
Talk about lazy, went and organized the back shed, boys brought all my totes out there, nice to get back in order inside, was going to pack the basement Christmas tree but it fits all in one in the corner of the shed so didn't box it up, might find an old sheet and cover it, was laughing, had I know it would so easily fit I should have left the ornaments on it..
Time that I can lift the top of the kiln and see what I treasures came out..lots to learn even more so because I want to send you all something special..
Betty Please close that door!!!!! We don't need the rain, sleet and ice down here. They are predicting a line just a hair north of us tomorrow morning--doesn't help with me worrying about Kim driving in the morning.
Dear Betty
What is it about cancer that brings out the worst in people and the best in people? I'm sitting here in tears from reading Ann's story. God bless Ann and this woman who learned such a valuable lesson albeit so late. My heart breaks for Ann but it is joyous at the same time knowing she has people like this woman and you in her life. She is fortunate indeed. Please tell her I'm still in there praying every day for comfort for Mike and that I send her warm and gentle hugs.
Barb
Marion, are you on the mend..nope, not me sending the bad weather, maybe it's those girls on the east coast, seems they are escaping snow/sleet so might be them.. if anything I'd send it north..lol
Barb, Ann was just so overwhelmed, she knew this lady was reserved so it meant much to her to have a note in the package explaining the hugs she got and finally feeling to urge to give hugs to someone else..I'll have to visit with Ann and take a photo of her hug blanket..
As for the good and the bad, I truly thing that people don't know how to react so some react badly; remember once just after Roger died, I saw a friend walking down the street as I was shopping, went to talk to her, knew she had seen me but she crossed the road..quite a bit later I asked her why and she said she didn't want to see the sadness and didn't know what to say..a simple 'hi' and a 'smile' would have done fine!
Had a lovely evening with Dianne and Paul..scalloped potatoes, ham freshed baked apple pie..yum/yum..now home and ready for bed..Danie has taken the boys back to their house, not sure of this week's schooling but am sure I'll find out tomorrow..all and all they were great kids..Danie let me hear the cd that the boys recorded in the Toronto Sound Studio, still a few more songs to be done but they sure are talented.
Should check the weather before heading off to bed but don't want to dream of snow storms should they say they are coming..instead, going to dream of beaches, sunshine and spring gardening!
Enjoy your evening everyone
Hello!
Well I got all the earrings done, fixed the ones that needs it. Put dishes away and picked up the house a bit. The snow is falling steadily. It's not looking to good to go any place tomorrow if it keeps up all night. They say it's coming from the north, but been blowing in from the east all day.
Yes, cancer can bring out a side of a person you thought you'd never see. I remember my old boss, she was a sweet heart and had lots of friends, so she thought till she got cancer. She had it of the thorat, and could no longer talk. Her friends never came to see her, she talked to me about it. It was so hard on her. I finally asked them why, they said they didn't know what to say. I told them she could write as fast as they could talk and she was the same person who just needed to know people cared. They truly amazed me. Some of them found out when they became sick and no one would come and see them. What goes around comes around.
I was touched by Ann's story of her friend. That quilt will always mean a great deal to her. Some people don't know what a hug is, as they were raised without that in their house hold. I've met people like that, but with patience and time and a hug now and then, they grow to love it. I hope Mike gets along okay.
We'll be glad to send this snow to anyone who wants it.
That fresh apple pie sounds good. Did you ever put a piece of cheese on top and drizzle cinnamon syrup over that. The pie should be warm and the syrup also. It's good.
Well, that's ut fir my chatting, chat more tomorrow. Good night and sleep tight everyone, and please drive careful tomorrow for those that have to get out in this.
God Bless!
Oh Betty I was so glad to read that Ann and her DH are going to PMH tomorrow. I LOVE that place and everyone who works there. Will they get a ride from the Cancer Society or strike off on their own? I never used the Cancer Society for rides as my DH felt he needed to drive me back on the Mon and return to get me on the Friday. I was flabbergasted that the Kingston Cancer Society would provide me with a ride on Monday to PMH and back on Fridays to home (3hr drive 1 way).... there sure are alot of people out there who volunteer to do such things and never ask for anything in return.
Having a bit of a hiccup right now and the doc has ordered some heavy duty medication as relief from the bone crushing headaches. Both Sat morning and this morning I slept till after 8 am - that is unheard of for me. Don't like feeling so lethargic and sleepy so I took myself off of the med today and will see if the headaches will return in full force. I HATE not being in control of my body.
700 pairs of earrings. Oh my I don't know if I could count that high!
Bitter cold here today but great for the ice fisherpeople. I trade freshly baked cookies for fish so am looking forward to eating some cold water perch and pickerel soon. All the little hut villages are gradually making their appearance on the lake.Stormy and I will go out later this week ( I hate walking on frozen lakes, rivers and ponds) and see who wants to trade.
Sweet dreams everyone.
Dianne
Hello To All !
Shirley sounds like you are getting some organizing done ! I need to catch that bug. Thank you for the recipe !
Hey Betty - Sounds like Danie and kids will work out for the meanwhile... Glad they are helping out... one thing to have company...another they show they appreciate your help with their actions ! The Boys must be pretty respectful...
Crissy -congrats on the car...hope you find the Honda... I really like Honda's... Scion is the Toyota, correct? so similar. I remember my Toyota client telling me Scions were easy for wheelchair bound folks to get in and out of.... They were originally marketed to young men but other markets took over.... We Got DS a Honda and I had driven one for years ...keep us posted !
Weather was miserable here this weekend. I never even left the house today. DH made a fire...and a chicken/sausage gumbo. We matched a whole hamper of socks... a 1 year collection LOL... dragon - of course a few went for puppy to play with...what is it about puppies and socks ? We tried to catch up on chores....
I'll try to catch up again soon...
