Naaaaaaw, I excersized with him too.
Guess I didnt pay attention because I am a yo-yo dieter.
However I realized the importance of exersize because of him.
Thats Entertainment Pt. 6
I still liked the '20 Min Workout' much better...
I walk in the neighborhood and thats the amount of exersize thats just right. Takes me about 20 mins. to do the street.
Jen, I've seen all the Spidy movies. I don't remember is the aunt sewed his costume. You could be right. Hmmmm...... I've always loved the Spidy movies.
Karen
Man I must be losing it... I remember when she saw his 1st costume, she like "oh I can do better" and he was all nervous because he thought she was going to find out he was Spiderman, but just thought he was going to a cotume party.
hmmmmmm, maybe deleted scenes????
Oh so maybe I'm not crazy after all.....
Never saw that movie, was it good?
I saw it once or twice about 25 yrs ago, didn't pay too much mind to it, thought it was 'quaint' and mildly entertaining, now that I'm older I see other dynamics in the movie I didn't then, not a milestone, - more of a dated 'cutesy woodsy' but the dynamics are still valid today.. and of course the acting is superb! ☺
Loved Jimmy Stewart in Harvey
"Harvey"--- a true favorite, especially the "dictionary" scene with Jesse White.
Yes, great one. He is one of the best actors and is under- recognized, in my opinion.
Have to get that one... Harvey. I've been downloading all the ones I'm not familiar with or haven't seen in a long time. He made so many good movies.. saw 'the Naked Spur' with him and Robert Ryan the other night, another one I liked..
He was extremely versatile. Not many can do comedy, drama, noir, westerns, etc.
I had forgotten Jesse White. He degenerated to TV ads for appliances I believe. He was wasted there.
Who played the aunt? Hysterical.
Yeah, I think he was the lonely "Maytag" guy for many years.
But hey, show biz is fickle, and a big, steady paycheck is always welcome.
Thats right the Maytag repairman.Neat ad
Easiest job in the world.
Hollywood had more respect for "character actors" 50 years ago, rather than today.
Now, they only care about the main stars (they always did), but secondary roles don't get the public's respect it once did. They used actors with bad teeth, unfocused eyes, etc. Now, they've all been "sanitized for your protection."
The TV series "Barney Miller" was a smorgasbord of non-famous character actors.
Missing it after 30 years....
Barney is one of my top 5 tv shows of all time. Great characters, great writing.
Loved the show, didn't like the theme song for some reason
I liked it. Nice jazz riff.
Boston area 6a
I'm not sure I agree with you on that.
How about (geezermoment) ,the actor who played with Meryl Streep in the movie about the ghost orchids. He was a mess and I loved him.
Seymore Hoffman comes to mind for Cold Mountain.
Steve Bischeme who now has a TV series of his own "Boardwalk Empire" loved him on Sopranos and Fargo.
Secondary actors work longer I believe. The pretty faces of the stars blurr after awhile.
boardwalk empire is good.
Its on too late at night for me. I have it sved on netflix
if you like the soprano's you will like this
I cant wait. Just watching the last disc of The Toudors. Now THATS TV
we never watched the tudors - did just rent the sparitcus 1st season that played on strz - was a bit bloody and a lot of sex (i think the cast was from cinemax at night)- besides that it was pretty entertaining:)
I've seen clips from Spartacus. Surprised at how much they show!
like i said cinemax after dark - still it was pretty good.
The Toudors is about Henry VIII. It has alvish costumes and is fairly historiclly accurate.
Today is the anniversary of his marrying Ann B.
To Anne's Eternal Regret...
Saw two good shows tonight. One on Queen Elizabeth and one on the Valkyrie plot.
Lots of interesting stuff with QE, very intelligent woman.
Victor! wich Elizabeth did you see? What was the Valqyrie plot title? I'm dying for good stuff to watch until the snow melts.
I wish I had been more of an English scolar. The archived works from the Henry VIII must be fascinating.
The Howards were quite a bunch. Ann Bolyn's cousin was Henrys wife too. Serves the old coot right for takin on a teenager.
Elizabeth was on Nat Geo and the Nazi plot was on Smithsonian. Both very good. Never knew much about Valkyrie. Crazy how close it came to killing Hitler and saving millions of lives. They said from that point (July 20, 1944) to the war's end less than one year later, the Germans lost half their war dead!
I wish I got that channel. All other recent specials, movies etc ,seem to support the fact taht the German army was deserting fast and had no amunition or food.
Forget the war movies of the 40's Dana Andrews wasnt very convincing and they were mostly just barely factual because the parents at home were worrying enough.
I cant believe there is a currant movement in Germany that supports the notion the holacost never happened.
The Elizabeth show focused on why she never had kids. Interesting theories, including anatomical problems.
There have been many movies about her life and most emphaszed her virginity.
Doubt it.
I cant remember who starred but it was lavish( Glenda Jackson?). No wonder the public revolted.
Yep Glenda 1971
