Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

St. Peter will meet you at the gates with a rock! (lol)

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Tonight I watched Next with Nicolas Cage. Great movie! A good, entertaining flick. I love Cage, anyhow.

Karen

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I love Nicholas Cage too

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

watch a bit of AI last night - steven tyler was pretty good

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I'll need to watch it on line.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Cage seems to be either very good or very bad - no middle ground!

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Flight of the Phoenix was a great movie.

I loved Cage in Matchstick Men. Excellent!

Karen

Watched a good part of Dances With Wolves tonight. I've always loved that movie. Too long to sit through usually, though. And too sad.

Karen

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Never saw that one, WC. Trivia - my dad flew with the second person to fly across the Atlantic - Clarence Chamberlin. Took him up as a kid around LI.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Great movie, Stewart was a real pilot so he knew how to look at the gauges in the same sequence a pilot would in real life.
- Awesome about your dad! ☺

- 'Dances With Wolves' I equate with the end of a civilization..

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Avatar was similar, but on another world, except in that film the natives got rid of the intruders. I was glad to see that happen. They couldn't make it happen in Dances, though, or they'd have to rewrite history.

Karen

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

If I remember correctly I hated the ending of Dances with Wolves

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

It was not a happy ending. Very bittersweet. But then that's how things ended for many native American tribes. So sad.

Karen

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Flight of the Phoenux with Stewart was great. I believe they tried a remake but the cast changed the dynamic and it was awful.
Dances w/Wolves was good the first 2 times and more than that is really boreing like most of his moveis.
This is a riot. Why would anyone with limited motion problems try this stuff.
They get to Fla. and think they'er 30.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

OMG! I got a good laugh out of that one! I can't believe some of the things these people will try. I felt bad for the poor guy on the skate board!

Karen

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

They must get to florida and think they are 20 years younger.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

You must be right. I've been to Florida, but I didn't think I was younger. Was nice to escape the cold, though.

Karen

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Great way to break a hip or 2

Hubby found 3pk movie set of the Spiderman movies with Toby McGuire in the clearance bin at Walmart.
We saw the 1st 2 but never the 3rd one, so we made it a Spidey weekend...one every night.

The 1st one I thought I remembered his aunt sewing his costume for him????? Was it edited out??? or am I remembering something from a different movie, does anyone else remember that?

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Sad, I used to watch him when I was kid.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Me too. 96 is long enough tho.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

- I liked him too, but if he lived any longer it would be considered punishment!
It's ok to live that long when you have fame & money. (lol)

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I agree about punishment, quality of life has to stand for something.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

He was in very good shape all the way. Been an idol since I was a small kid. Loved doing exercises with his show.

Don't remember the aunt sewing the costume.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I excercised with him too...maybe he's the reason we are still lean?
