Yes Laura, have most of the items in my vehicle but think I'll go in search of the other..it's storming so bad here, not sure we'd be better off going home early or staying in hopes it blows over.
Just got back from our Christmas luncheon and now waiting to see what Paul says..
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Chat with friends..
Betty be careful.
will, payday it tomorrow, Paul just had Cindy go to the bank, wondering if perhaps he'll pay today and as soon as she gets back will send us home and tell me to transfer telephones to my house...
ok,ok dreaming, but that's all that is left this stormy day..
not so, called Greg and furnace is repaired, asked how much, said he didn't know..
Oh Betty here is wishing Paul will forward calls and let you stay home.
Oh Linda, those are beautiful! Love Kinkade. When Betty and I were on our "great adventure" we stopped at a little town....Betty possibly where Casey Jones was....and they had a little store that had so much Kinkade pictures and art products...I just loved them.
Hello!
It is miserable out, raining turning to ice. It started after I went back in to get Tubby. I had to spray De-icer on the ramp to get up. We are suppose to be back at 8:30 tomorrow AM. I'll get me a pair of spikes to put on the bottom of boots and may have to figure out some form of chain for the wheel chair. I really thanked DG when we made it up. If it wasn't so steep, it would help. I'll have to put my thinking cap on again. Went out and fed the birds. It was slow going on the way home. If it's really bad out we will have to cancel till Fri. Tubby was so miserable cuz his bottom has no meat on it. I'k love to give him some. We'll take a pillow or two next time. It was hard to watch him suffer so. He's resting now. The Dr. said the verbal report from pathology was it is the Myleoma. Dang! I'm not sure what that means down the road, will ask more later. I just don't want anymore bad news now. I'm on overload already.
Betty, please stay in a hotel for the night and hopefully it will be better tomorrow. We want you around for a long time to come. We'll say our prayers.
Linda the potholders are darling. Someone will enjoy them. You do great work.
Pumpkin Choc. Chip Cookies
1 - 14 1/2 oz. can pumpkin
2 - eggs, lightly beaten
2 - cups sugar
1 - cup veg. oil
2 - tsps. milk
2 - tsps vanilla extract
1 - tsp. salt
2 - tsps baking soda
2 - tsps cinnamon
1 - 12oz pkg. choc. chips ( I prefer milk choc.)
4 - cups all purpose flour
4 - tsps baking powder
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In large bowl, combine pumpkin, eggs, sugar, oil, vanilla, salt, baking soda,
cinnamon and choc. chips. In separate bowl, blend flour & baking powder. Add flour mixture to pumpkin mixture and stir until well combined.
On ungreased cookie sheet, using 2 tsps. make small dollops of mixture. Cookies do not bake larger; they bake the size of the dollop.
Bake at 375 F for 10 to 15 min. ( mine usually take 12 - 15 min.) I think it will make a difference on size and altitude where you live.
Cool on wire rack, I use an old newspaper or parchment. What ever is handy. Makes 24 cookies.
Hope you all enjoy.
The yuk outside is to last to midnight and then quit. Won't warm up enough to thaw by morning. Will decide then if we go or stay.
Will get back to mending, talk to you all later. Thanks for all the prayer, hugs and arm wraps. They are greatly appreciated.
T&S
Shirley what about air cushion to sit on for Tubby? We call them donuts blow up with air and cushions the butt.
Please be careful outside.
Thank you for recipe will try to bake next week
Thanks for the recipe Shirley, going to try that one, pumpkin is one of my favorites and I think if memory serves me I've a couple of containers of the pulp in the freezer, great way to use it. Shirley could you use kitty liter for the ramp? Myleoma, will have to go on the internet and read up on it...sending hugs for Tubby along with all the prayers! Quite an experience just getting to his treatment..
Left 10 minutes early tonight and it took over 2 hrs to do the 45 minute run..yikes it was stormy and roads were bad but you know, it's one of the first times that I see drivers taking it easy, no one seems to be in any great rush, thank goodness..
When I got home I looked at the front walkway and deck, hadn't been done since I fell and hurt myself so got out the shovel and cleaned it, then was having a few chest pains..ooops remembered that happening last year and the doctor gave me spray to use when I had pains so will keep it close by, no big deal, certainly not a heart attack, just uncomfortable, drats, this getting sick/old is starting to become a drag..lol
So now I'm in for the night, had 3 calls so far checking to see if I've made it home safely so now it's bath and bedtime..tired..
LindaKay, what features are you finding most to your liking..love your piece..
Debbie, you've a great memory and yes it was Casey Jones Railroad Station we were at and a specialty shop had everything made with Robert Kinkaid designs..nice paintings as well...if I remember correctly everything was so unique and expensive that we didn't want to touch..
Laura, when I left the office I said to Paul, 'don't be shy calling me in the morning if the weather isn't the best' and he just laughed..lol
Darlene called me at work to tell me Dannie had called her, apparently her 15 years old took the bus to Montreal as he really was having a problem with her being away...Dannie told Dalene that he'd spend more time with her when she gets back from Montreal..Darlene wondered if she meant he also would be staying here??? hmmmm have to think about that one..
Laura that's a great idea..might work
Thread was getting long, moved us over..
