Laura we did have quite a bit on Saturday but then 3 days of rain melted it all, no snow on the ground but that will change because flurries in the air..big fluffy flakes..lol

my DH says we won't get $$ - it will go to pay off.........$$ ah well - it will help LOL

She is only responding to us on her cell phone, so if she is just coming out of surgery, she may not be in an area she can even use it. Unless Keith brought the lap top up.

It looks like her sister is on her way to help out and stay with her & the kids.

Been jittery all day worrying about her!

Well, been to the laundromat, just me, myself and I..got the rag quilt washed twice and dried so now I can box it up..sitting doing last row of another afghan then I can parcel it up as well..
Lonely place to be..lol

Working on 2 rag quilts but after paying $6. a washing machine load and weighing the cost of getting my washer fixed due to my stupidity I'll be first in line when they are done to head back to the laundromat..

Won't get much done tonight, falling asleep so off to bed I go..gab in the morning

Got a note from Maggie. She had the surgery, had an epidural and is not in a happy mood. I don't blame her at all.

I am waiting for permission to share it all with you, but just know, she is out of surgery early this afternoon, and on her road to recovery.

I can't explain why... it's a long story...and regarding some others than my family.....

Betty, I am sorting through several months of paper right now...matching up with a list... 6.5 hrs, yesterday lol and only got thru 1 month!
Now that I know what I am doing, thought of a system last night that should work pretty well. My view from his office is spectacular!!
I even watched a Deer munch on some brush, very pretty, lol long as it wasn't in my yard, gave me sort of a sense of peace.

OK..I've got to run for a while, only working till about noon today.

LOL Debbie, those charts I did are birth charts and they never change. Thanks for posting about Maggie, my goodness who is ever happy after having major surgery like that? Your groggy and nauseous from the anesthesia and morphine, and yet your still in pain, you can't move because of all these tubes and what-not, did I mention your nauseous and in pain? lol

Joyce did you get a good feel from the interview? Are you aware that they're extending unemployment benefits again :-)

Betty, no new snow here. BUT south & west of us is getting pummelled. The NYState thruway has been closed since about 11:30 or so last night...and last I heard it was STILL closed. White out conditions. Betty, that would be up near the fairgrounds in Hamburg and area.

favorite color is deep dark purple...and I wear contacts & glasses if reading.

Lightly snowing here Debbie so dring home shouldn't be a problem unless it's snowing closer to home.

Odd being here alone, everyone is either at appts. or home sick, wonder if I can take a Friday sick day..lol

Hi...I am back!

Well, my new system worked out pretty good. I was able to get through all of Octobers work in 3.5 hours opposed to 6.5, so I was excited a bout that..Basically, I totally worked from the monster piles after breaking them down into months. LOL, he had me separate and sort by weeks. They all stacked oldest date first. I am printing the worksheet by latest date so...Today, I worked backwards and then as i went separated the two documents making the nice neat piles of two in the exact same order as appearance on the final list!!
LOL, i could do it his way, which could give me more time, but I hate touching the same same paper twice- lol, again.
Anyway...OH gosh, it sure didn't take long at all to fall back into old routine, Came home, worked on kitchen, did some laundry. helped with dinner Listened to everyones day, helped DH with a tiny project...Fell sound asleep at 9:15ish...
This morning did more laundry and off I went!
Anyway, Betty i am getting enough to not have to declare and to give me some Christmas money! He only has a certain amount he can give. We are stretching it as best we can.
BUT...I also found out he is starting up a new business in addition to this one, so This could turn into a full time job for me! I mentioned in jest to keep me in mind for a secretary and he said that he will!! LOL and this all started because i practically begged him to let me help him, said i'll do anything, even joked about cleaning their house! Sooo, we shall see what the outcome is in near future, i hope.
The best part right now, is I basically am making my own hours...
Now the only thing is I haven't seen or talked to Julia in days!! She has been getting home from work at 1:30 in the AM, sleeps,goes to school then work home again very late. lower lip hanging out, I sure miss her, now I know how DH feels...

Good evening everyone. I'm sending prayers of healing for Maggie and prayers of celebration for your sister LK. Prayers of compassion and understanding for Mary and of health for Tubby and Bev. And constant prayers and hugs for Ann and Mike. And prayers of Thanksgiving for my Norm. He had his 18 month PET scan today and it came out clean. AND he goes for a full time job interview on Monday. It has been 1 year and 11 months out of work and we sure could use this.....Please say a prayer for him..

Betty, I'm so sorry about your washer. We really do depend on them don't we? And Judy, maybe this will turn into a job for you!!! I'll say a prayer for that too.

No snow at all here. A pounding rain and wind last night but nothing else. I'm hearing that we may see some snow over the weekend but only flurries.... With all I have to do this time of year, I'm grateful for small favors!
