Money Matters - Part 4
Hubby went to Toys R Us today(not his choice, bil needed something) He said there was no one there.
Had the house filled up with propane and 100 gallons put in the garage tank. Same day delivery, same truck same driver and the same time.
House 2.90 per gallon
Garage 3.45 per gallon.
I called and asked why the difference in price and she said. That you have to use a minimum. I said thats crazy and she did drop the price to 2.90. At the end of the year if you dont use the minimum the price goes up! That is just totally nuts when you make your home and property energy effecient. There should be a law on this.
That is crazy
Delta is hiring 1000 flight attendants. Over 100,000 have applied!
They'll pick the best 1000 and overwork them.
Wonder if they'll have to go through the body scanner as part of the interview.
For the job or the scanner?
Photo automatically attached with resume. (lol)
Gas is high because oil is at $89 a barrel!
Funny Sherrie!
- and gold is what now $1,400 an ounce? When it was $300 everything was fine!
2.89 gas for regular
I have to check around here. I know it's above $3.00.
Not complaining about gold - I've done well with my precious metals fund!
gas here is $2.99.
Heating oil prices have risen 6 cents in past week.....it's only going to get worse.
Paper towels, soap, razor blades, garbage bags, everything is going up! Then the stores don't want to sell the small sizes of products, they'd rather stock up on the big sizes!
Head and Shoulders costs an arm and a leg!
Not the best way to start a recovery.

This is my friend's eBay page in case anyone cares to browse. I can absolutely guarantee fairness on his part. He has a 100% positive feedback. His stuff is mainly books, but he has photos, stamps and other stuff too. Price range is from below $20 to over $6 thousand.

Not sure if he hits auctions. I'll ask.
The more I read about China, the more worried I get. I have felt for a long time that their economy was a huge bubble and the recent news backs that up. If/when it bursts, the effects cannot be understated. It will drag the entire world economy down with it. Same fundamental problem as elsewhere - built on the sand of credit and bad loans.
gas companies are playing their games again! The price at the pump was 2.99 over the weekend, yesterday it came down to 2.96. Around here they drop it all week and then raise it on the weekends!
I have some Chinese money from the 1800's in my collection, very nice little coins. They save money on gas too, they use bicycles.
Yes, that would be nice, I'm tired of driving with all these nuts on the road.
Gas is now up $3.14
2.919 here this morning
Where NOT to retire:
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/the-10-worst-states-for-retirees-2010-12-09
Why anyone would retire to Jersey is beyond me....
As for retirement I am 65 and have 46 years at a Large communication company with excellent bene fits but having two High School kids still at home I think very little about retirement. We all enjoy luxury and don't want to scrimp so I will work away while I can.The heating oil I always prebuy and lockin a price it makes me more calm.Even if I had to borrow I would prebuy. The best asset to economics is pay little or no interest. When I married for the second I told my wife we would take no vacation etc until Credit cards were paid off and have never carried a balance since no matter what.
Congrats Sherrie, you'll master it!
