Allison, so sorry to hear about all those frustrating problems with Sears. Wow! That's all I can say. Hate outsourcing. Too many jobs leaving this country and customer service going down the tubes. Get well as quick as you can!
Harper, I have to add a "Wow!" in a good way to your drawings. Extraordinary! I have been an artist for years, and I've never drawn trees that looked as good as those. Great!
Voted for your display, Allison!

How cool is that ice rink kit? If I was a kid I sure would be wanting it.
Karen
Almost got DH talked into buying it or making me one. ^_^
nice Celeste!!!!!!... Brian can do it!!!!
Threw the DGD's into the equation.....they wouldn't think about going on the lake and I could teach them. I hate the lake but the nearest indoor rink is at least 15 miles away you can only skate on Sundays at a certain time.
I really like that skating rink, they price isn't too bad either. I'm sending the link to my son!
I saw that ice rink but shaped round in another catalog...that is the coolest thing...I really would love to get one.
can't wait to see all the ice skating videos!!!!
Just dropping by to share the joy of this:

Make sure your sound is on.
Loved the ice rink....much better than skating on the reservoir as I did when I was a kid....parents would have had a cow had they known!
that's the one they had on the news the other day Pirl.... they said the first girl was on the phone with her sister to calm her nerves
Nice Pirl!!
I'd love to see them do that at an airport. (lol!!)
I loved the amazed expression on some of the kids' faces. I wonder how many adults who were not in on the chorus joined in. There were some who were singing without standing.
I would have started singing!!
Can't sing very well.
My cousin used to get up on chairs and sing when she was a little girl, (quite the ham of the family).
-She made a career out of it, she sings professionally with the Barry Manilow troupe now.
My granddaughter was just about 5 when my daughter took her to the city by train to see some show. On the train she burst into the song from Pocahantas, The Colors of the Wind, and when she finished the other travelers all applauded. She's won awards for singing since then.
Way to go, WC's cousin!
That's great Pirl, if they show a talent and there's the opportunity to encourage it, it's possible to go far!
Two other first cousins of mine (my mom's side), had the talent and got as far as radio and TV but family responsibilities and the need to earn a steady paycheck cut the dreams short.
Pirl, one of my FB friends had posted that, and I, in turn, shared it with my FB friends, also. Love it!
WC and Pirl, you 2 have a couple of talented relatives.
I have a friend who is special needs. He always dreamed of being a DJ at a radio station. A few years ago his dream came true, and he's now a regular on a very early morning show at a local station, and sometimes fills in for other DJ's there, too. It's not really his own show, but the person who normally does it likes to get a lot of breaks from doing it himself, so David takes over. He doesn't get paid, though. He also runs the boards for the morning show, take calls, etc. sometimes. And just recently he started his own DJ business doing parties, etc. He has his own page on FB: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/pages/DJ-Wolfson-On-the-Go/157999974234817 He loves telling people how he's living his dream as a DJ.

That's a heartwarming story, Karen. Pirl, didn't get to hear the link, because I have no speakers!
Allison - sure hope you are feeling better! Rest, rest, rest. I know it's not easy for you this time of year with all of your decorating! I'm glad you posted that about Sears. My friend in Connecticut who just renovated her kitchen bought Kenmore appliances because her old Kenmores had lasted forever. She has had nothing but problems with absolutely no redress from Sears, and she told me a nightmare story about one of the washer repair guys that came to their house (one of 4 over a period of 4 months!!) To make a long story short, she and her girlfriend who was visiting actually chased him out of the house. These were expensive appliances and 3 out of 4 are not working. No more Sears for me, thanks to you taking the time to let us know that issue, Allison, along with my friend's problems.
Harper - FANTASTIC!!! OMG how you are succeeding!!
Very cool ice rink! Great argument for DGDs, Celeste! Could actually be a life saver!
Wow, Sears is really getting a bad reputation. I know they used be really good, but they sure are going downhill.
