I have seen them but think they are a stretch for logic.

Wow! That was really quick, just heard yesterday she had gone down hill.

Yes. What ashame she was married to such a sleaze.

That's sad. Today's paper said she had a few weeks to live and in another part of the story they said a few months.

I am stunned. I cant get around the fact her children already have a new mother.
Life isnt fair sometimes.
I lost a young neighbor last week she was 45 and had battled a virulant form of breast cancer for 5years.
Edwards was a weak sleeze. I hope he doesnt consider a political career for the near future if at all.

I cant help it, I have that happy 'Christmassy' feeling!

- Got a tree stand today, should have seen DW's eyes light up when I told her we were having a tree this year, (we haven't had one since the 1990's.) Probably pick one up this weekend, I don't want to pick one up too soon, I want it to last up until a few days after New Year's.

I put mine up around the 15th, and take it down Jan. 2nd

We set out tree in the garage until a couple of days before Christmas & then decorate it.

I feel for the Edwards children as my mother died of cancer at 52. I was 13 & they did not have chemo etc at that time. Luckily I still had a great father.

I'll get mine Thu or Fri.

We will have the second of thre crismis parties here, on Sat. No room for people if we put the tree up.
I expect DD &SIL will get one next Sunday. He and I are like kids for crismiss stuff. We did the lights and couldnt wait until it was dark enough for the timer to turn them on,stood in the snow until they winked on.
That was last Friday. We have had 24 inches of snow since and 4 inches more expected tonight and tomorrow.

We usually get our tree the first weekend of Dec. and leave it up until mid Jan.

yes, got it Saturday, but didn't get it set up until Sunday

I should get mine before the weekend, it'll probably be mayhem at the lots this weekend, but I'd like DW to pick it out too, (although she's fine with me getting one by myself).
- I'm worried they may raise the prices if I wait 'till next week! lol!!

They were much more this year! We found a new lot, with 100's of perfect trees. The places we had been going to the last few years we'd walk forever and still not find a great tree.

That's a good sign!

(DW just informed me her boss is giving her a 30" diag. Sony TV w/stand and wall mount along with the usual bonuses!)

Very sad about Elizabeth Edwards....she had a tough life...just another case of money doesn't bring happiness....I'm sorry you lost your Mom at such a young age, Iris....my Mom is still here at 95, & doing OK, but definitely needing more care, now. Wow, WC, that's quite a bonus for your DW....glad about the tree....I'm putting mine up on Sat.

That is very sad, iris.

I lost my mom when I was 30 and felt that was too young.
