A bit warmer this morning; cloudy and grey though. Temp is 48 degrees and won't go much higher into the 50s for a high today. Variable west wind blowing in with some good gusts, but steady breezes at 5-10mph.

In the 30s, brrrr.

Not so cold here though at 1am it got to 32. But I am not working outside yet. DH is out doing more leaves...endless leaves. patti

Not so Pretty.... He also brought in a large severely damaged branch loaded with buds off one of our Hamamelis x intermedia Diane that a deer had used to rub up against to remove his summer velvet. I would like to remove him from my yard...............grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Patti

Victor, thanks for the sympathy. DH has now caged it, as once they start rubbing on a tree or bush they tend to keep using the same one again and again. It was one I planted so we could see it in mid winter in bloom from our bed room. Always next year. Patti

Another beautiful Nov. day....too bad I was stuck in the church's kitchen until 2:30....did manage to walk with the dogs about 40 min. Not many of those witch hazels are hardy here, but I do love the red ones....

Calling for the low 60's on Tue! November has been very nice to us. About 50 for T-Day. I remember a number of Thanksgiving days that were freezing!

30 here but feels colder, took a mile to warm up this morning, time to pull out the ski gloves.

Still below freezing at 31 degrees. Light north wind makes it feel a bit colder but the sun is coming out and will improve things slightly to the high 30s or maybe even hit 40. Two deer in the cleared out area early this morning. Not much left in the garden they will want now.

Deer can be surprising about what they eat. they like acorns.

Thanks, I plan on enjoying sleeping by our babbling Brook and taking some nice walks. We will go to the farmstand to get all the veggies that we aren't still growing for T-day. I found a nice recipe for sauteed Kale with a bacon vinaigrette dressing that I think I will try as we have a great deal of good kale still growing well, which I love. But we have no root veggies left, so I will buy those up here. We do have Brussels sprouts. We need apples too. Patti
