Ipswich, MA

Hi, just found you. I'm neglecting a garden in Ipswich, because I'm in Germany, where it is sometime raining, and sometimes snowing, but the roses in the park across the street are still blooming, and forming buds! Also, they don't seem to clean up their gardens in the fall, but they still look neat. a wonderment.

Thomaston, CT

Wow.....gives me hope, Ruth! Turned into a glorious, 58 day here, and, when I looked in the garden, found a calendula just opening....awesome!

Thomaston, CT

Very cloudy, 52, but no snow so I'm happy.....

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Cloudy again. Rain likely later. But it is 60 degrees! Go figure. Light SW wind is bringing the warm temps. Way better than that white business, I like this November weather very much. Just wish it would last. Oh well take it when you can get it right. Back to the real world tomorrow.

South Hamilton, MA

Warm enough to weed this morning. I dug out a nasty grass, which since it has a hollow stem is porbably a sedge. Roots are short but really stuck into the ground.

Thomaston, CT

Can't believe it's still 55 outside....have a few windows opened.....

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Cold out there! Very windy and 41. Woke up to a bare beech tree.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I can't believe it snowed here.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

- Used to be normal, I remember one Thanksgivings in the 1970's when we had a blizzard. Standing to see the Macy's parade meant dealing with morning windchills of ~12° and temps in the low 20's. Nowadays we're in the 40's! That's quite a difference in a relatively short amount of time...

Presently 43°, light rain.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Glad I don't go out and go nuts on Black Friday....27 degree's and it's slippery as all heck!!

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Sorry about the poor weather some are having as it is a perfect day here for me to recover from all the cooking and eating to do nothing much here. I will spend the day wrapping all the gifts that I have been collecting for months to send to my Mom tomorrow. She, at 96, gets most of our attention and will get a gift a day to open with her advent calender.

She has a sweet little fake tree that she puts up that she surrounds with a small collection of antique toys and dolls from her grandmother and an old Steiff bear on wheels from her childhood along with all the small gifts we send. She love it. But she is off to Texas for a few days early next week to go to some resort for Christmas shows, so she will miss the first few days of her gifts. She can double down when she gets home.
