Rain last night & this morn, but it has stopped for now....heavier rain moving in tonight.

It's damp and dreary but you can notice the pops of leaves colors more. Looks like those black and white photos where they just color one thing.

Clouds and rain early, then the sun made a futile effort to come out but the clouds seem to have won for now. Present temp is a balmy 54 degrees. Light ENE wind. More rain on the way later.

I'm not sure why my wind came out at 3MPH on the weather page. I highly doubt it...since the rain is coming in sideways and the branches on my big evergreens are swaying like they are doing the Cha-cha!!!

Wind and heavy rain overnight. Occasional showers this morning but the weather people say we should see sun by noon at the latest. Present temp is 56 degrees with a southerly moderate wind.

I would be so happy to see some sun later today, but pretty dank outside right now.

I don't need any more wind, though we still have leaves aplenty on the trees. I once read an article about how leaves detach from tree. I had never thought that the tree did anything to facilitate the process, but it does rather than the wind. This isn't the article, but the same information. Perhaps I am the only one who never thought about this "fall thing" before. Patti

Sun beginning to break out here. Should be out your way soon Patti. Lots of leaves were helped off the trees here as well. All oak leaves at this point really. They will be getting the bums rush all winter a few at a time.
Actually you are not far off Victor, Hormones also play a part in hair loss. Problem arises when it doesn't get the signal to grow back. ^_^

It's 55 here now....almost 60 this morning, after very heavy rain during the night...it woke me up! Leadmine Brook was all whitewater today as I walked the dogs.....worried about branches falling, as there were a lot down.....the wind is just awful!

The dawn redwood lost it's needles today.

I'll bet it did! I have to check the one in our little park......
