Almost dark already. Worst part of winter I think. Could even tolerate the snow and cold if it stayed light longer. :(

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Dark here already! The weather is helping.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Took a longer drive home and the colors on some of the trees were really outstanding since it's so gray out. Too bad didn't have my camera

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

South Hamilton, MA

Warm enough to do 1/2 hr of weeding. Didn't get too far. Predicted warm tomorrow so perhaps can keep on. Strange for Nov.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I'm not sure why my wind came out at 3MPH on the weather page. I highly doubt it...since the rain is coming in sideways and the branches on my big evergreens are swaying like they are doing the Cha-cha!!!

Wind and heavy rain overnight. Occasional showers this morning but the weather people say we should see sun by noon at the latest. Present temp is 56 degrees with a southerly moderate wind.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Lots of leaves down! And lots more wind coming.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

I would be so happy to see some sun later today, but pretty dank outside right now.

I don't need any more wind, though we still have leaves aplenty on the trees. I once read an article about how leaves detach from tree. I had never thought that the tree did anything to facilitate the process, but it does rather than the wind. This isn't the article, but the same information. Perhaps I am the only one who never thought about this "fall thing" before. Patti

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I was aware of that. My question is if it also applies to hair.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Sun beginning to break out here. Should be out your way soon Patti. Lots of leaves were helped off the trees here as well. All oak leaves at this point really. They will be getting the bums rush all winter a few at a time.
Actually you are not far off Victor, Hormones also play a part in hair loss. Problem arises when it doesn't get the signal to grow back. ^_^

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

ngam, Bite my tongue! Sun is out. Patti

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

It's pouring here...has been for an hour or 2 now, must have over 2 inches of rain already.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

Sun is peeking and its 60 degrees in the middle of November - What is going on?

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

A windy afternoon here with partly sunny skies. Found roofing tiles in my backyard, I was so relived to find out they weren't mine! lol!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

The dawn redwood lost it's needles today.

Thomaston, CT
