After cleaning and taking out totes I realized there was no sense in cleaning BEFORE but I did...

Making more of a mess than I thought..hopefully by midnight lol all will be clean and pretty

Well, i now have my trees painted, and the snowmen are painted! OH gosh, I wondered how on earth i was going to make the faces!

Oh and by the Way, Thanks to all about my Skittles! She sure keeps me on my toes when it's craft time, she like to sew too!

Figure I've done 4 days work in 2 so going to call this weekend at an end..just realized other than chelsey buns this morning I've not had lunch or supper..no wonder I'm feeling sluggish..lol

Betty you need to rest.Put your feet up and have some hot cocoa. You did a great job on those trees.

Just put water in the tub, going to soak and calling it a night..will have the hot chocolate but boohoo ate all the chelsey buns..

Sat on the chesterfield and did about 2 rounds on afghan and could feel my head nod to think before I make a mistake best stop..

Nice to sit in the dark with all the lights aglow...

Even the little cafe looks inviting..just too bad camera doesn't do the beauty justice..oh well..

I have mine sanded, and the base is painted!

It's not done yet, I'm going to add more snow to the trees and who knows where else, I have a big container of it from last year, plus get some hats.

LOL I was worried about the faces and I didn't have the right kind of material (I don't sew so material is pretty hard to come by) to do the rosy cheeks, so they don't get cheeks but that's ok.

Only thing I added Crissy was the green around the edge of the base and then sand the edge of the base to make it look 'used'..

I've finally gotten a little more painting done..it's the same as how I do jigsaw puzzles..it sits out and as I walk by, I do a little bit here and a little bit there, then I wander off to do something else LOL

crissy, I have lots of little fleece scraps, that is what I am going to use for hats....want me to send you a few pieces??? I could even sew a few little hats for you if you'd like??? I have "school bus yellow", gray, black..plain and with a snowflake design (although being so little not much of the design would show) orange, light blue...I am sure there is more..thats just what I can think of at the moment!! I will do mine tomorrow after I get up
probably around noon....and I will post a picture, then you can let me know.....

OOOO if you don't mind Thunder, I would love that and would pay you back for postage! I want a black plain, an orange, and do you have red?

not finished, but here ya go.....going to tie the top of the "dad's" hat to make sort of a Pom pom/fringe type top??? something like the three snowmen I posted above...
I will pull out my scrap bag and check?? don't know if I have any red???
do you want me to sew?? or just send pieces???

They'll be awesome Thunder..did you highlight the edges of the snowmen with same blue as trees or it it reflection???

I also took I believe a toothbrush and did some splatter on both trees and snowmen..have to check if I did, usually do..

yes I highlighted with blue...and made "shadows" on the base too I was thinking about doing the spatter after I am all finished

crissy, yes I have red...sew red, plain black, and orange.....the orange is pale ish like a creamsicle is that ok???

Isn't it nice seeing friends doing something for friends..just got to love it..

I am just now getting around to painting my pieces. Oh, you will all be so surprised to see mine because my children have "personalized" it with their wants instead of how Betty did it! I've always been one to experiment and I encourage my children's creativity and imagination. When I taught pre-school years ago, the director got mad at me for letting the children color apples any color they wanted to. We were focusing on the letter "A" so I let them color as they wanted. She just couldn't understand that learning "A" was the focus instead of making them color apples red! And to think of it, not all apples are red! ;)
