I'm here!
Ohhh joy first again! lol
Yes, had to wait til Jan. for his surgery, and also DD's wisdom teeth also.
As of right now, she is scheduled for Jan. 3rd. And her out of pocket is $693.20...gotta add that .20 right. I suppose that is better than the other dentist as $500 a tooth...up front! BUT still! OMG!
As for the job, news on the "floor" which is circulating...sale has been pushed back til March. Has good and bad with it.
I need a nap. betty...taking a nap for you.

Now that was quick..did you manage to sort out the kit I sent then the odds/sods????
I looked through it and have a general idea, then I started getting "helpers' and packed it up til I am of sane mind and alone! lol
Looks like so much fun!
lol..well, some day when you are not so frazzled I'll tell you what you could do with them..
Moved over from the other thread...
Hi Betty... :-) Not very chatty lately...sorry..
I was wondering if you still have the site you sent me where you got your cute outfits. I had saved it to my favorites, but then my computer crashed and I lost all those...sigh...could I get it again??? Pretty please?
Will add it on tonight when I get home..should order me a couple new ones as well..how are things going with your mom??
Fall, not the best time of year, very depressing at times isn't it?
Debbie my dad had to have that done after he fell and tore his retina, it helped him tremendously. Dave has a shattered lense, wonder if there's anything they can do about it yet, about 5 years ago they couldn't fix it.
Betty so glad you're back home safely, Woo what a trip that must have been. Why is your leg hurting again??
Dave posted on Facebook that we have a "HVAC dude" coming this afternoon to look at the central heat and hopefully get that buzzzz out of my attic! The sucker better be under warranty too, it's only 3 1/2 years old.
Well I owe I owe so working again I go! LOL
I am here Betty, just busy cleaning house! Hubby is off for a few days, so he helped me move furniture and vacum, while I dusted! Makes it go really quick when he helps. We told Dad is kicked out of the house for a bit, so we could clean!
it is beautiful here today, it is 76 here today!
I M here:) Waiting for Bubbies to start screaming-having huge issues with him still with the whole eating thing. Called the Ped and the nurse said she would talk to the Dr and call me back...
Babies do go through stages though Stacey, perhaps our Jonathan just isn't hungry!! are you feeling as though you are getting into a routine though? Is it nice enough outside to be able to take walks?
Bev, how are you feeling today? Hope Scotty is behaving.
Tubby, if you are reading, know we're missing you and sending prayers!
LindaKay, are you changing your room around, that's so much fun especially when hubby is helping, lordy they make furniture on the heavy side these days; my rooms are such that I can't really change the furniture so it gets pretty boring, if I had a side wall taken down, would have to check if it's a bearing wall, then perhaps I'd have more options..
Nice to get all the cleaning done before the holidays..your Thanksgiving is right around the corner, here I'm thinking Christmas decorations while you all are thinking Thanksgiving.
Hi everyone!
Betty, so glad you had a good trip! Sounds like your friends were returning to teenage years! LOL did you find all your stuff.
Man, what a bummer your leg is hurting! I hope you take rest and get off it. Wowwee, you gals can shop. i am exhausted from see all the goodies.
Linda Kay, Aw isn't it great to have DH home to help...Hope your cleaning is almost done. So whats Dad doing while you were busy?
Wow, you are having great weather.
Debbie, Yikes, I sure hope the laser sugery helps!
You girls were having fun last night..Love the Pizza and Banana pic!
Hi Stacey, will have to check out your Jonathan blog...I remember baby feeding drove me bonkers.
Betty, today Steve stayed home again...He did all his paperwork, which mean my morning was quite busy. Woohoo paid off to get it all done because it's 70 out!!! So He took me for a bike ride and lunch! We just now got back, ow he is off to get Sabrina...
I am about ready to get out side, its going to get dark here soon...
But guess who already got her kits?? Nice, thought maybe by Wednesday...So i am going to go open box and check out the goodies!
Wonder if I'll have mine today...
Well...maybe a ray of sunshine...I have a phone interview with a really great company at 2:00 on Wednesday. It's the first action I've seen in a long, long time! So wish me luck.
Another bit of good news...our son that lives in Florida and works for Schwan's just got a promotion and a move to Colorado. It's a pay boost of $11,000 for them. My DDIL's folks are in FL and NO ONE is in CO for them....hope they can make some good friends fast...I already told her to find a nice church...she'll make friends in a hurry there.
We go Thursday afternoon to talk to the surgeon about the c-scan results. I hope that's not terrible news...so all your prayers are appreciated!
Hiya Crissy, i can't believe how fast.crossing fingers yours is waiting for you too.
Hoping the goes away, would drive me bonkers...
Joyce, Sending you some big Armwraps ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Sunshine))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Waiving hello to Bev and Tubby...Hope you are both having a good day.
Bev, can't wait to see what photos you entered! I'm an automatic voter! LOL, what can I say, just love your photos.
OMG, We decided to stay home this year for Thanksgiving! A first in years...So now you that means I gotta pick up the pace and finish this place...Ahhhh, a challenging project! Joyces DS is coming in from NY, so she asked if we could have the Dinner, why not.
Be nice not to travel and for that I am Thankful.
And to start, think I will have an outdoor fire and get rid of that brush...I am thinking of sifting the ashes and mix it in with new garden section...I have heard fire ashes are really good to mix in soil, mines all clay. I hope it works!
OH yeah, I forgot to tell you!! I won ghost guessing contest...LOL, first & second place!! 1st, 35 bucks and 2nd 15 dollars gift certificate for the supper club!
Oh gotta run for a bit.
Cookie good for them!! When I moved here I had no one, you meet people and you have neighbors and it's actually kinda nice not knowing anyone. Of course you always miss those you were close to where you had to leave, but it's a nice change. I'd move again if I could.
OK! The AC/Heating company sent out the service manager and he said the Contactor was going out, causing the Breaker Switch on the furnace itself to arc and buzz. He said that the breaker wasn't going to be good for long since it had been arcing (Dave said you could see the black on it where it was doing it) so he replaced both the contactor and the breaker on the furnace, both under warranty, so No More Buzzing!!! Woo Hooo
Woo Hoo Judy!!! Nothing better, well almost, than free food!
Just got in, Cathy and Rose are here chatting so I have to go for supper but will be back..
In the meantime here's the Applesauce Cake Recipe which was given to us by Ruby
I'll put it on a post of it's own so that you can easily copy and paste
Cookie and Judy-CONGRATS!!!
Betty-no it isn't nice enough outside. He thinks he is still starving and a feeding will last for 3 hrs with a couple 20 min cat naps in there. He wants to eat and eat, but then he spits everything over a certain amount up. Almost every night I have been ready to put a sign on him and leave him by the side of the road. That last couple nights it has been 2 feedings in a row so it is like 6 hrs that I deal with this. I can't do it anymore!! And then Chris thinks I am making it up or something because he says that he doesn't have any issues-well DUH-when you only take 1-2 feedings a day and sometimes none, no crap that you don't get any of the problem ones!! Yesterday he got a very small dose of it and was frustrated, said he couldn't deal with it and went back to sleep for his nap!! Yeah, because when I am home alone with him I sure get to do that!! Sorry-I am just at the end of my rope. I called the Dr today and he said that since Jonathan was a preemie, he doesn't think his poor little digestive system will be able to digest the rice cereal until he is 4 mos old. I am learning that as I have witnessed some of the same things I saw a few weeks ago. He said to switch to Enfamil AR which means added rice and it will expand a little in his belly and make him feel fuller and will be a ton easier to digest than the cereal and will come out the nipple. It figures since I JUST opened a new thing of the Gentlease yesterday-so that is like $25 down the drain. If this AR dosn't work, then we will have to go to special order formulas that are like $50 a container!! I hope it doesn't come to that since that is a lot of $$.......oh well, what can you do. I will just be happy when we get this all figured out and I have a happy baby again that digests his food well. The funny thing is that if we were a smidge poorer, the state would help with the cost of the expensive formula, but Chris makes too much $$ even though we are dirt poor...I swear, I just can't win....It will be nice when we can get into a routine again and I can actually get something done in a day other than constantly dealing with feedings....

Oh My Gosh!!
She's has joined the world.

Mom and baby doing fine, lol I think.
Yayaya, Thats my best for the day.
WooooHoooo! that is a big girl! Congrats to Mom & YOU!
I can't wait for pictures!
Congratulations, hope mom and Julianna are doing ok.
Stacey, my heart goes out to you, how very overwhelming this must all be for you. Glad there is a call in to the doctor, let's hope he has some answers; have you been back to your own doctor since Jonathan was born, perhaps you are also run-down, that's a lot of feeding hours and it must be draining you of all your strength?
Fell asleep on the chesterfield, must mean that I should be in bed, calling it a night, gab tomorrow..
Hey Judy - Wow Lupe has her a big girl... Congratulations !
I'll check back in a bit. DS was REALLY sick today... DSD feels sick... I'm not feeling so hot myself...
It will hopefully NOT be a repeat of the last time we were all sick... but the similarities are there.... and last time... EVERYONE in the family all got it... on different days....
Hugs,
Mary
Mary, what the heck...my DD is sick also! Fever, sore throat, sore ears. I had to cancel her dentist appt. this morning, and she missed her two classes at college. Its in the air!
I hope you all feel better
Thanks to alll!!!!''
Can't wait to meet her as wll!
OmG sounds like an epicidemic,,,,With a heavy sighs,, I really hope and pray you all are feeling better on the morrew.
Must br some kind of flue thing...For this night, hugs, and lil kisses to feel so much better...
nightrs.
All of you sickies get some rest, you sure don't want to start the count down to Christmas being ill.Although, when I taught also also when I travelled with my SG business I spent every Christmas holiday with bronchitis - more due to the fact I wouldn't take any sick days because there is just too much you want to squeeze into that time frame.
So Betty no cute guys at the border? My first DH worked as a border guard in Fort Erie during his summers off from Univ.He was a bit of a jerk - heck who I am I kidding he WAS a jerk and prided himself on the particularly nasty things he did to people. One of his favourites that he repeated time after time is the time two teen couples were crossing into Canada to go to Crystal Beach - he made the 2 guys put their shirts on (hot, humid summer day). When 1 gave him a bit of lip exDH asked him where was he born. The kid said the hospital, not good enough said my ex go back and find out the room number. Now you have a glimmer why we are no longer together.
We are all with you Stacey. I think we all wished closer so we could help you out a bit.
Judy you do go to the wrestling matches don't you? I can't imagine you missing them. Does the wrestling team have to travel? Its a shame your son didn't get to play even for a few minutes in his last football game.
DH and I spent the morning making Ham Loaves to go into the freezer. Freezes well, little fuss to get it ready and quick - we love it. Course there are not too many foods DH and I do not like.
Time to stoke the woodstove and start a new book. Just finished "Shattered" a true crime story based in Katy Texas - written by Kathryn Casey. It was very good,Can't decide what to start next though.
Sweet dreams everyone!
Dianne
Morning all,
Yikes, there is a different type of flu going around in the city, remember I mentioned my niece was off sick, over 300 of the 600 students were not at school due to same flu..said it was one that you caught with 'touch' had an entire clean-up crew washing and spraying everything...so do be careful!
Dianne, how wonderful for you to have the hubby you now have, have to agree, think your ex was a big time jerk..I would think some of them like to show they have power of decision in their jobs and use it..I've been more than lucky, all nice, lordy even the guy that I asked 'I'll have 5 orders of fish and chips please' his voice raised and had the look of anger telling me this was not funny but I'm sure he went back inside laughing and telling his co-workers about the crazy lady with the 4 grandchildren..lol Must be hard for them, not knowing what someone could be carrying across the border.
Dianne what exactly are 'ham loaves'
That time of morning, got to get dressed, had I not been so tired last night, then having company I could have hemmed the 2 track suit pants and have a nice outfit for today but no, much too tired.
Ohhhh, I was in a fall swap and look what I received yesterday, was thrilled to bits; first thing I did was cover myself on the chesterfield and had a nap prior to company coming all toasty and warm..know why children have blankie's, makes one feel safe..she must have been checking on colors because it matches 100%..
Betty, a ham loaf is a great way to use up leftover ham. It has ground ham, ground pork, 3 eggs, some cream of celery soup, some spices and bread crumbs. It freezes very well. If anyone wants the exact recipe let me know and I will post it.
Better run, Sassy my office assistant has just deliberately knocked a pile of collated papers off of the edge of my desk. Darn, I hate the though of collating them all again. Sassy I think is smiling and saying to herself 'Gotcha, now you have to feed me'
Very nice blanket it looks nice and warm and cozy.
LOL, yes would love the recipe, lately I'm into making t.v. dinners, sure makes life easier getting home and having a home cooked meal.
Greg and Kyle were here last night when I got home putting away my travel trailer and doing some other little jobs I normally would do, must be getting smarter in my older days, know what I should be lifting and not..anyway, you would have thought I'd given him $1,000 when I gave him the bag of soup mixes I got in Buffalo, then he eyed my turkey dinner and had it not been right at the time that Melanie called to say her dinner was on the table I think I would have lost 2 meals.
Want to go shopping for a little apt. sized freezer as I'm so limited to the amount I freeze in the fridge freezer..
Looking forward to your recipe so I can add something different from the turkey/roast beef, spaghetti meals I now have..
Good luck with getting the papers all in order..furries aren't they fun? Riley is out all night, it's freezing out there, she came downstairs to eat, then up on the chesterfield to get cozy for the day, she's a night time prowler, so I covered her up, shared my new blankie with her..lol
Can life get any better than this?
I wondered where you had gotten to Laura, been busy???
This time I really need to get a move on..lol
Oooooohhhh, thanks so much for the good thoughts!
Crissy....problem with not knowing anyone is that there is no one to watch the 3 y/o and the 18 m/o for even a couple hours for some stress free non-kid moments. At least in FL she has a couple friends and her M&D to help out, even keeping them overnight from time to time. But I'm sure they'll do fine.
I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much on the job thing. I'm sure they're interviewing many people for this job. Ohio is in big time trouble with unemployment. However, prayers do work! ^_^
Exercise today so I need to get myself dressed and something to eat so I don't melt in the middle of the two hours!
I would like to have the recipe. I haven't had ham loaf since I was a kid. Yummy!
Joyce, sending prayers..know you are looking forward to being back in the work force..exercise for me won't you??? How's your weather, it's 28 here this morning..cold, thinking of bringing a blankie of sorts to put over my knees here in the office, can't seem to warm them up..isn't old age grand.
Maggie, we'll both be rushing out for the ingredients to do both the ham load and making a few of the applesauce cakes for the holidays..lordy the applesauce cake is even more moist after you freeze and thaw!
How are you and Jonathan doing Stacey?
Bev, feeling a bit better today?
Thanks Betty and Dianne-I will be packing Jonathan up and going to the store for the new formula today. I really hope it works because I can't do this anymore. I know that sounds horrible, but the days of spending all day doing the gradual feeding and throwing up is on my last shred of nerve I have left. I sure wish I had some help. It would be nice to have a little bit of time each day that I didn't have to listen to the monitor and be able to get something done. I have sooo much sewing to get done and his Xstitch to finish as well as a ton of cleaning stuff to do.
OOO-keep all the sick away from me!!! I don't know what I would do if I came down with something right now!!
Betty-LOVE LOVE the blanket and boy does RIley look comfy!!
Judy-YEAH-a new baby!!
Maggie-R U sure you don't want to come and visit and get this baby all fixed up??LOL
that's the hardest part Stacey when you are starting to get run down and no one is around to give you a break..not a baby person as you know but if I lived closer I could and would give you a break..
Both my boys were born in 1969, remember carrying one under each arm as I left for work, was lucky though for those first 2 years of their birth lived next to MIL who was very open to say 'I raised 11 kids of my own, don't bother asking me to look after them!' BUT on the upside Roger was the eldest so those younger than he gladly came over to play and give me a break..thank goodness for families!
I don't have anyone and that is what makes it hard. Even when Chris has the day off, he wants to sleep and rest and can only deal with Bubbie for about a half hour or so before he gets frustrated. Sometimes he can go an hour, so I think my lucky stars and take advantage of that for a bath or a glass of wine-something to mellow me out a bit. I was lucky to have my mom for those 1st 3 weeks, and my friend Maurissa came over last night to take the 11pm feeding so I could sleep since Chris closed last night, didn't get home til almost 12 and had to get up at 6am to be to work by 7am. I physically can not do all the feedings. I am not that strong. It is hard enough to do this all day long without a break, I can't do it all night too. When he sleeps between feedings he is sleeping about 3.5 hrs though, so once we get his food all set, hopefully this will continue or even bump up to 4 hrs. That would help me out tremendously!! I scheduled his 2 mos shots for Thurs, so that should be fun. Chris has to open so will hopefully be home by around 7pm and he doesn't have to be back in til 11am the next day. I also ordered another Rock and Play http://cgi.ebay.com/Fisher-Price-Newborn-Rock-and-Play-Sleeper-Rocker-Seat-/130442649941?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e5efce155 (cheaper on Amazon though) and my mom is sending me a check for it so we can have one downstairs and upstairs. Until he gets older and grows out of the reflux thing, he needs that steep elevation to sleep and until he gets bigger, he doesn't like the largeness of the crib. I don't know what I would have done had I not found this. It is nice, I am part of this mom's club thing on Amazon, so I get free 2 day shipping with everything baby pretty much that I order. Trying to tote the Rock and Play and the baby up and down the stairs just wasn't working for us.
Anyone who wants to get away is free to come here and take some baby time;) We have a guest room with a queen size bed;)LOL
