Thanks Deb for the intel on the 4 oclocks. Had no idea. I'll get them back in a pot in the garage tomorrow. I did collect some seeds before the deer chewed them all off. had a break in the perimeter fencing apparently and I just caught it today.
She's about to...54
Thanks, Joyce. I love that little plant and the two Ees too.. will post pics of the gardens and trades in a couple days. Good Grief, I hope I don't have to get any thing shaved off my hip. UG.
I refuse to worry, I trust in he Lord. Anyway, Those Gazanias look just like our Kansas native ones.
The post of the plant I saw was on a tropical plant forum.
Ohhhhh, what a cute little girl.
Thanks happ. I still have pain and will be on meds the rest of my life, because work comp took soooooooooo long to do anything and of how bad it had gotten. I also take injections in my back. But at least now I can get out of bed without taking a handful of medication and waiting half an hour!!!! It's bad, but not as bad as it was!!!!
Debra, I was stubborn and didn't want anything from the bone bank. But the spot they shaved the bone from hurt longer than my back did. When I had my neck done, I let them use bone bank bone. LOL
Worked on potting some things up today. One of the new brugs has a leaf on it, but some of the others look really dried up. They are in a potting mix/pearlite mix and feel solid, but I am a chicken to pull them up in case they are rooting.
As long as you tug on them and they stay in the pots, they will be okay. I have several sticks that are dry, but the roots are alive. Soon, a little something will come up and say HEY! I'm hungy... I have been planting some of the small sticks all the way under sideways with just a little of the skin showing on top, sideways will maybe give me more than one sprout.
Where is LindaKay? I hope she is doing okay. Miss you, Linda!
LK has been sick with a bad cold.
Not good with patience sometimes. LOL I want to know and want to know NOW. tee hee
Morning everyone! I am here!
So sorry to hear about all the back problems! Crit, I had that same surgery, but no one told me about the cadaver bones. My surgery was in 2000, and I still have a lot of pain in my hip, where they took the bone from!
Yep, I have had a terrible head and chest cold, but is doing some better today! Hope it is better so I can get Thanksgiving dinner done, and not spread this crap to everyone else!
What are you all cooking for Thanksgiving?
Thanksgiving dinner...rofl...easy...pizza - no kitchen, heck I may keep it this way. I will have alot more time to play and talk to everyone...will really miss the leftovers tho... ;(
I don't usually use the atm deposit section. Wished I hadn't this time....apparently they hold 1/2 the funds until the next business day, which would be ok, except they hold them until midnight tonight.....I could of went to the bank today and been better off....one of those little things they forget to tell you. So off to the savings...
LK we are doing a deep fried turkey here. Since it is likely to be my Dad's last Thanksgiving that was what he requested. He loaned me his fryer and now I am just trying to get enough oil for the darn thing. I remember in years past Wally World had big things of oil for the fryers. I was there today and no go. I really hate that place. Try not to go often, but sometimes there are just things that you have to get there. It was already overrun with kids out of school this week and people. Boxes of merchandise sitting everywhere to be opened. What a mess!
Hope you find the oil! And enjoy your day with him! Sorry to hear he is not doing well! Sending prayers your way!
None of the gal friends my MIL depends on to drive her around are available Thursday -- trust me she has no business driving anymore. If she's up to it, we'll drive down and take her out. She's not been feeling well and her BP is out the roof after loosing a brother-in-law and a brother the last two weeks. We'll see how she's feeling Thursday morning, just hope she answers her darn phone.
Our neighbors have invited us to their family Thanksgiving dinner Friday evening since he's working Thursday. If the gathering is anything like their Christmas parties with two large families under one roof and a house filled with good cooks, our pot luck and fellowship will both be memorable. I'll be taking a large pan of mac & cheese based on my Mom's recipe and may make apple pies, although at these gatherings, it's always dessert overload. Saturday I'll start decorating outside for Christmas. That old discussion whether to use colored or clear lights is going to rear its head again...lol
Neener, do you have a Sam's or Costco nearby? That's where we used to buy huge jugs of Wesson oil when we hosted fish fries.
Drat Fruity I never thought of that. DUH!! This being old and blonde at the same time is really not working out for me. Sorry your plans aren't working out for Thursday. Bummer!

My DSIL is bringing her fryer out and we are having a fried turkey, then I am also roasting one. Then the good ole regular's, mashed potatoes, homemade egg noodles, green bean casserole, corn, homemade dinner rolls, plus what everyone else is bringing in. Salads, desserts, relish tray, I may even make my hubby a coconut cream pie. Not traditional, but his favorite!
We get a smoked turkey from Jet BBQ every year, we go into town, have a shot of crown with John Jet, and pick up our turkey. I cook a ham with brown sugar , pineapple rings and marachino cherries, bake a dressing from Joes recipe book with apples in it, make a pumpkin pie, choclate cream, pecan and apple pie, sweet taters and marshmellows and pecans, Dana brings the green bean cassrole and the lavosh, Paula brings the hashbrown cheese potatoe bake and cranberry salad, daughter one brings a corn dip, daughter two brings a vege tray and dips, daughter three brings a pie of her own making, son brings crown royal and bud light beer, Joe buys asti, the chips, summer sausage and cheese and crackers, I bake rolls, make rotel dip and salsa fresh, and niblet corn. That is our thanks giving meal at noon, then every one goes and watches football ( the men) and all the gals go thru the Black Friday ads, while I go to bed. I have cleaned house, worked ten hours a day, bathed the dog, gotten the bathrooms cleaned, carpets vacuumed, walls washed, fridge cleaned, and table set with the "good" china and silver. I am already tired. I miss the older folks coming, they are all gone now. My sister will prolly want to make deviled eggs. I am glad she will be here. I miss her too.
to heck with 'spring cleaning' ....... more like 'winter cleaning' for the holidays! LOL
Drat Fruity I never thought of that. DUH!! This being old and blonde at the same time is really not working out for me. Sorry your plans aren't working out for Thursday. Bummer!
